I need Walking Dead monologues.
Hi. For my drama class I need two monologues and I thought it would be awesome if I used lines from the walking dead. The only problem is I can't really come up with any good ones. So why not ask the people who are just as obsessed with the game as I am? They have to be about 6 or 7 lines and it'd be better if they didn't contain curse words but its fine if they do.
Thanks!

"I kept it a secret. Kept her safe for as long as I could. But in the end, I couldn't protect her. That's when I got out. Crawford, they always talked about how their system worked, how anything was better than becoming one of them. But I saw what they'd already become. I just wished I could have seen it before it was too late. Before they came and took my sister away. This is all that I have left of her. I didn't have time to take it when I got out of Crawford. I just wanted it, okay?"
—Molly to Lee about her sister and how she tried to protect her from Crawford
I got this one from the walking dead wiki. Go on there if you need some more ideas. They have a lot of quotes from most of the characters
Lee: What can I tell you to make it better? Clem: That you wont leave me... Lee: Aww Clem, I would never do that.
Lee: That Little Girl is In My Care! And Anyone, AND I MEAN ANYONE WHO GETS BETWEEN US, IS GONNA WIND UP DEAD! YOU HEAR ME?!
Uhhh a monologue has to be at least a paragraph lol.
"How did we get here? Sittin' in the snow... leaned up against a tree... bullet in my leg... but alive. When so many of my friends are dead... for no good reason... and I couldn't do anything to stop it. Everyone we set out with, just... gone... Nick, Pete... Alvin and Becca... Carlos... Sarah... I could have done more. And that ain't up for debate. I know it in my bones... and I've gotta live with it."
—Luke to Clementine regarding the friends that they have lost.
It's your drama class so you'll have to look up the exact line's, but I was thinking of S1E5 in the jewlery store with Lee and Clem as he was telling her she has to shoot him.. Pull your arm in your sleeve, sit leaning sideway's in a chair, and try to play Lee telling Clem abut the lady at the motor Inn. All she wanted was to not come back as a walker. That scene should be enough for a monologue.
Would Ben's speech to Kenny in episode 5 count? Because that scene was just freaking amazing.
"What's heartbreaking is not giving yourself a chance. It's what Katjaa did. She left me... my son... People that cared about us. I forgive her, but it don't make it any less wrong. You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out, and help the folks you care about."
~Kenny, Season 1, Episode 5
Kenny's Wellington speech to Clem telling her to go in...
That would be pretty good.
"I don't know much 'bout you folks, but I can tell you, sure as the sun's gonna come up tomorrow, that y'all keep goin' like this and that girl ain't gon' make it. And if something were to happen to you...if it were, you got to prepare her. She'll die a little girl if you keep treating her like one. You gotta consider her a living person, that's it! You're either living or you're not. You ain't little, you ain't a girl, you ain't a boy, you ain't strong or smart, you're alive. And then show her how to use a gun, because like it or not, that's what saves your life from here on out. I don't mean to tell you how to do your job, but too many people have died already, and seein another little girl die, might just do me in."
I have a bunch.
Cop
I’m driving this man once, h-he was the worst one. He wouldn’t stop going on about how he didn’t do it. He was an older fella. Big, soft eyes behind a pair of smart folk glasses, and he’s just wailing back there, says it wasn’t him. Crying and snotting all over, right where you’re sitting.
Then before long he starts kicking the back of the seat, li-like a fussy baby on an airplane. And I tell him he’s gotta stop, that that’s government property, and I’ll be forced to zap him otherwise.
So he stops, and having exhausted all his options, he starts crying out for his mama. “Mama, it’s all a big mistake! It wasn’t me!”
They caught the fucker red handed! Stabbin’ his wife, cutting her up as the boys came through the door! He sits in my car screaming bloody murder that it wasn’t him! I think he actually believed it himself.
It goes to show, people will up and go mad when they believe their life is over.
Clem's mom (This could maybe work if you're allowed to have a director read for you the answering machine lines)
MACHINE: Three new messages. Message one. Left at five-forty-three p.m.
MOM: Hey, Sandra, this is Diana. We’re still in Savannah. Ed had a little ‘incident’ with some crazy guy near the hotel, so we had to get him back to the ER and have it checked out. Anyway, he’s not feeling well enough to drive back tonight, so we’re staying an extra day. Thanks so much for looking after Clementine, and I promise we’ll be back in time before your spring break!
MACHINE: Message two. Left at eleven-nine-teen p.m.
MOM: Oh my God, finally! I don’t know if you’ve tried to reach us; all of the calls are getting dropped. They’re not letting us leave and aren’t telling us anything about Atlanta. Please, please, just leave the city and take Clementine with you back to Marietta. I’ve got to get back to the hospital. Please let me know that you’re safe.
MACHINE: Message three. Left at six-fifty-one a.m.
MOM: Clementine? Baby, if you can hear this, call the police. That’s 9-1-1. We love you… we love you… we love y-
Hershel
I don’t know who you are or what you did.
But you better become a better liar, and fast.
Let’s say things don’t get better back in the cities. Or they get worse before they do. You’re going to have to depend on the honesty of strangers if you’re going to make it. And if those same people get to questioning yours, you’re going to be in trouble.
So whoever you are, and whatever you did, keep it to your damn self.
And another thing: you’re going to have to figure out how to answer a goddamn question when someone asks. /Oh, and I’d start checking the attitude, friend./ But at least you have the common sense to listen to a man giving you advice./ Oh, and trying to be less of an asshole would serve you just fine. (These all depend on your choices. You can pick the one you like best)
From episode 2!
Ben, explaining the infection.
Wait, y’all don’t know? It’s not the bite that does it!
You come back no matter how you die. If you don’t destroy the brain, that’s just what happens. It’s gonna happen to ALL of us.
When I first saw it happen, we were all hiding out in a gym and everybody thought we were finally safe. But one of the girls, Jenny Pitcher I think, I guess she couldn’t take it. She took some pills. A lot of them.
Someone went in the girls’ room the next morning and… God…
Lilly, about her Dad
Look. My dad can be an ass sometimes, I know that. But he’s not a bad guy. He just… He’s got a lot of pain.
He’s been through so much. And lost… pretty much everything. And it’s hardened him, ya know? Yeah, he’s bitter and hateful, but that’s all just to protect himself. And me.
All he’s got left in the world is me. And that goes both ways. So, yeah, he’s probably gonna keep treating you like crap, but that’s just because he still has one thing left to care about.
So don’t judge him. And don’t judge me for sticking by him. He’s my dad, and I love him.
Jolene
They told me I’d be safe with them… Men who lived here.
But it weren’t safe. Not for me, and not for my girl.
They didn’t treat her nice. Not at all. They took her away, into the woods. Wouldn’t tell me where.
And I begged ‘em. Every way I could think. They just laughed… So I killed ‘em.
And I’m staying here ‘til she comes back to me.
One way or another… she’ll come back.
Now maybe you didn’t hear me last time, when I asked you sweet… put your damn guns down.
You think I won’t kill you?
I’m gonna take this here crossbow, and put a nice sharp arrow, right through your eyeball, and into your goddamn brain.
You’re not men. You’re monsters. All men are monsters. Take what they want and then destroy it all! Take a can of beans, take a little girl. It’s all the fucking same to you.
You know what? I changed my mind… I’m putting this arrow right through your BALLS. Yeah! Right through. String ‘em up on that tree.
Then Imma head down to that farm and shoot every goddamn person I see.
Larry, in the locker. Again, the slashes and brackets indicate your choices.
What the hell is your problem?
You refused to give me my day’s rations back at the motor lodge…/ You were a prick back at the motor lodge…(Even after I saved your fucking life.)
…and you went out of your way to be an asshole to me tonight./Then you practically fuckin’ push my face into that goddamn human barbeque.
You must really hate me.
But guess what? You’re stuck with me. I plan to be around long after you’re gone. And if you turn…
I’ll be the one to put the axe through your skull.
Jolene with the camera)
Oh darlin’, baby. Look at you. Look. At. You. Oh, you need a mama, sweetheart. We won’t let them bandits get you, will we? No…
Y’all thinkin’ you’re safe, sittin’ there actin’ like things are the way they used to be. The dead don’t kill their own. It’s the living you gotta be afraid of… the people I used to call friends… The people who took… Don’t worry, little girl. Bandits got their eye on that dairy. As long as they keep getting food from them, you’ll be safe.
I promise.
Episode 3!
Carley
You’re a convicted killer.
And I think people should know.
Not because they deserve to and not because you’re a bad man. I think the opposite of those two things.
People need to know because we’re hanging by a thread here and I can’t see Lilly talk about you without thinking it’s the next thing she’s gonna say.
You don’t have to tell everyone, but think about who you trust and take the opportunity while you have it.
God, I hate it when you do that. Don’t you hear what I’m saying?
Larry’s gone, but he knew. If he didn’t tell Lilly outright, he probably said enough to make her wonder.
(And I know you told Kenny we met in your parent’s drugstore, even though the first thing I ever said to you was keep a damn lid on it.)
I’ll tell you what I would tell anybody, apocalypse or not – there comes a time when you can get out ahead of something like this and discuss it on your terms.
Do it before that chance is taken away.
Lee and his brother
My brother almost died, once.
He lived, but it was scary though.
These boys from the other side of town were hassling him.
He was on his bike and they were in a truck throwing things at him, calling him names; stuff like that.
And this tough son of a gun, he peddles up after them and he catches them. He pulls his bike up alongside the truck and jumps into the back and starts beating on ‘em.
He teaches all three of ‘em a lesson. But the truck’s still moving, you see, and just as he stands up to jump out, it zooms underneath a tree and a branch hits him square in the face and he goes flying out the back.
Anyway, if he can live through that, I’m sure Duck can live through this.
Kenny fighting
Just leave me – the fuck – alone! I don’t need – you – and Duck doesn’t – need you!
You don’t even HAVE a child, you don’t know what this is like! You fucker!
You’re not helping my family! You’re not helping Clementine! You’re not helping ANYBODY!
I fucking hate you, Lee! DO YOU HEAR ME?
I…I… I don’t know what to do.
Lee fighting
I told Katjaa I’d get you to stop this and you bet your ass I’m gonna.
I don’t give a fuck that we don’t get along! I’m not letting you do this to Kat and Duck!!!/ I’ve had your back! Don’t make me fucking regret it!
You want to hurt people because you’re afraid?! Losin’ Duck ain’t enough for you?! Because you’ll fucking LOSE EVERYTHING actin’ like this!
I’ll fucking kill you before I let that happen!!!
Christa
I think it’s a good idea – figurin’ stuff out for yourself – for what it’s worth.
But be smart about it, though, you know? Teach her to scan the area for things. You two should never be looking in the same spot – that’s a waste. Stay the hell out of places like that building over there, especially if you don’t have more than one way to get out.
And be more afraid of groups of living men than dead folk.
Omid and I are still alive because we’re two and not six or eight or ten. I don’t believe in strength in numbers and you shouldn’t either.
Episode 4
Molly, about her sister
I used to live here with my sister. She was fourteen years old. When the dead started walking and Crawford shut itself in, it seemed like a pretty good deal at first. We were safe, we had everything we needed to survive.
Then the rules started coming down. No-one who couldn’t justify their place, earn their keep. No-one who required special care. My sister was diabetic, and by Crawford’s rules that made her a liability.
I kept it a secret, kept her safe for as long as I could. But in the end, I couldn’t protect her. That’s when I got out.
Crawford, they always talked about how their system worked, how anything was better than becoming “one of them.” But I saw what they’d already become. I just wish I could have seen it before it was too late. Before they came and took my sister away.
This is all I have left of her.
Vernon
You want to know the worst part?
I don’t feel much. I mean, I don’t feel enough. Shouldn’t I be broken up over what happened to her? That’s how I was when I lost my daughter, when I lost my friends in those first few weeks… but now… it’s like I just take something like this in stride. Like this is what our world is now, and we’d better just get used to it.
I know you care about Clementine. Anyone can see that. And I know you want what’s best for her. But this plan of yours, putting everyone on a boat, with no destination… do you really think that’s her best chance of finding somewhere where she can be safe? Because I don’t. So I want to make you an offer.
I’ll take her off your hands. Take her back with me, to my people. We’re well-supplied, well-hidden, and a lot of us have had kids of our own. And now Crawford’s fallen we’ve got nothing left to fear from them.
She’ll be safe with us; safer than she will be if she stays with you, I promise you. That’s what you want for her, isn’t it? To be safe?
Angry Vernon
You don’t think by now I’ve got you figured? You don’t strike me as someone who has a lot of consideration for others. Look at what you did to get me to come here with you in the first place – you expect me to believe you give a shit that it wound up costing Brie her life?
No, you listen. You’ve got some good people here, and they look to you as their leader. Well I’m here to tell you, the kind of leader you are, they’re not going to make it much longer. And you’re kidding yourself if you think putting them all on a boat is going to solve anything. Now you may not care about all of those people, but I know you care about that little girl.
Which is why I’m going to make you an offer.
(Goes to same offer as above)
Added Vernon bits you can tack on
I know it’s a lot to consider. But I want you to think about some things.
You chose to let that boy die back in Crawford. I’ve got to wonder about the morality of the kind of man who could do something like that. I’ve got to wonder what kind of parent you’d be.
You set off on that mission with Molly, the both of you supposed to be watching each other’s backs. And all I know is, you made it back and she didn’t. If she wasn’t safe with you, why should Clementine be?
I know you think you’re doing what’s best for her. And if you were her real father we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But you’re not. And staying with you is not what’s best for her. If no-one else around here will tell you that, then I will./ I know you think you’re doing what’s best for her. And if you were her real father we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But you’re not, are you? Just another one of your lies.
The way you’ve treated me doesn’t exactly instill a lot of confidence in you as a guardian to that child. I don’t being threatened. I don’t like being lied to. I don’t think Clementine would much like that either. And it’s a shorter trip from me to her than you might imagine.
????. this is spideys sadness not mine, i just wanted to post that...
Episode 5.
Lee, about his wife.
I hurt my wife. I hurt her a long time ago. In a lot of ways.
She travelled for work. I didn’t like that. I wanted a family. So we fought. And it made my biggest fear come true.
I got sick one day on my way to class. Cancelled it and went home. Found her there with someone else. Killed him.
I was mad at her for so long and I can’t imagine how much pain she felt.
Stranger
I hurt her so bad.
My son, Adam, went missing. I took him out hunting even though my wife said he was too young. I figured he had to learn.
I came back without him and the look on her face said… “You are a MONSTER.”
We all went out looking for him. We never found him. I hurt her so bad.
And then we came back and all our stuff was gone. Your people, Lee. That asshole in the ball cap. His stupid fucking wife. / Then you took all of our things. You robbed us. I could’ve earned her trust back, Lee, but not after that.
I could’ve earned her trust back if they hadn’t made our situation so desperate.
The hungrier we got the more she blamed me. Until she finally took our daughter, Elizabeth, and left.
They didn’t get far… I… found them a day later. In the road.
"You might not believe this after what happened earlier, but... I liked Reggie. He was a funny guy. He kept things light. You need folks like that... It's easy to let depression sink in during times like this. But he was weak. And I don't mean just 'cause he was maimed, that wasn't his problem. He was weak of will. Weak of character. And we can't have that around here... not anymore. Killing one in order to save many is part of survival. It's one of the tough decisions that a weaker person couldn't make. It's why it falls to people like us to lead them to safety. Do you understand? Well, I wish it was different, I do. But they are weak... and we are strong. That's why it's our responsibility to shepherd the flock... to keep them safe. It's their nature to follow... not to lead. " (c) Carver
Lol I know but I wanted something super deep to contrast the hilarity
I know! i've got a perfect One! sit right here!
Lee, In the RV
My mom played the tuba, On april fools day, My brother decided to fill my mom's tuba with Flour... and that same day, My mom decided to play it in my ear to wake me up for school. so cute!
Lee's Final words to clem.
Your-- Your Gonna See bad stuff, but it's gonna be okay. Your Strong Clem. You can-- You can do anything. (clem: but im little...) Doesn't mean nothin. You can survive, You'll, Be okay. Find Omid and Christa, They're waiting out by the train for you.
Also heres a little something that i wrote for just this occasion.
dialouge option that you wish you had in twd:

clem: leeeee (starts crying)
lee: your the closest thing i have to a daughter... i'm sorry clemetine, this is my fault
meet someone that you'll take care of like i took care of you. and tell them all about me, and all the cool stuff you did (clem) i'll miss you, (hugs lee)
(lee) i will too
(clem) goodbye... shoots lee
Damnit, you took what I was gonna say.
"Killing one in order to save many is part of survival. It's one of the tough decisions that a weaker person couldn't make. It's why it falls to people like us to lead them to safety. Do you understand? Well, I wish it was different, I do. But they are weak... and we are strong. That's why it's our responsibility to shepherd the flock... to keep them safe. It's their nature to follow... not to lead."
Goddamnit, I just realized you posted it.
"Everyone I grew up with... it all happened to them. Now, it's gonna happen to us. We're all so fucked. This world is fucked. I mean, what's the point? We'll just march to some new place and somebody else will die. It's never gonna stop. And eventually, it'll be our turn."
How would it go OP? What phrase did you use?
'Listen okay, this is your chance, for you and this boy. I don't trust myself to keep you two safe, not anymore. Please I'm begging you, please stay here where it's safe. Where you two'll have a chance.'
'No, no, no, why are you doing this...?'
'Because it's the only way, for both of you think about Alvie here. Please Clem just do as I'm askin this one last time. You'll meet people you'll make friends... people better then me... good people. That don't have to look at you, and feel ashamed at what they put through. Please Clem please.. Where you don't have to sleep with a gun next to you every night. Where you can be a kid for a while.'
'Okay, okay we'll stay, we'll stay'.
'Good, good this is the right decision alright. When he's old enough, you tell him about his mommy and his daddy and all the folks who died to keep him safe. You tell him okay he deserves to know. I got... oh here take this. When he's old enough, you make him wear it, it'll keep the sun out of his eyes. All right good. Keep an eye out for 'em, please. Now I'm gonna go sniff I'm gonna go before one of us sniff before one us changes their mind. Now I'm going to walk away and I might not look back, not because I don't want to. I'm real glad to have met you Clementine'.
Ugh. Any quote would be preferable to Chuck's.
I'm performing Monday so I still have time to think about it. I'm pretty torn about which one to use they're all really good.
I miss ol' good Carver.
Ok cool. Make sure to tell us how it went.
You know what it feels like to get beaten almost to death? Peaceful. It feels peaceful. It was like I was floating away, watching the whole thing happen to me. And then I woke up again, and nothings changed. I'm still taking a beating, every day. Duck. Katjaa. Sarita. No peace. No rest. The punches just keep coming.
What the hell is wrong with Chuck's speech, it's one of my favorite parts of the game.
I found this new one!
"Kenny, I Had To Shoot lee, I was scared, Alone, while i was looting him for ammo. So quit being an asshole, And realize everyone else has lost people too!"
this one comes right after that!
"Kenny, I Had To Shoot lee, I was scared, Alone, while i was looting him for ammo. So quit being an asshole, And realize everyone else has lost people too!"
I wish he was around longer.
I hope DLC will explore something more about him.
I hope the DLC will be about Cabin Group's life in the Carver's camp and how they escaped from there. It would also give some more development for Luke and the others.
If I had to choose, I'd rather have this one than DLC about Christa. :>
