S1 Clementine vs S2 Clementine (Yep, another poll)
I've made a small poll about which version of Clementine they prefer after viewing both seasons:
Feel free to post your reasoning as to why you like that particular portrayal of Clementine.

Season 2 Clem for me, I just really liked the idea of playing as her after we had all of season 1 to learn about her, and then choose whatever you thought would fit her character best in season 2.
Its about 50/50 right now. Personally i prefer Season 1, maybe because i preferred the characters in that story line better than S2.
She grow up in Season two, this happen to everyone, is realistic ( Principally when the world is ending... ). I like they both, but I will vote in S2 Clem U.U
S1 Clementine. In Season 2 she was emotionless and undeveloped.
I love them both (that's what I chose) but if I had to pick, I'd say Season 2 Clem. In 2 short years, she has matured and become self-reliant, no longer needing the help of people around her. While she still has some cuteness from Season 1 as well as some innocence, she has become like a mini adult, despite her young age.
I feel like Clementine in S1 had hope, she was your moral compass, She wouldn't let you steal from someone, without making you feel like dirt
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
I loved Sassy Clem in Season Two.
Season 1. No sass for me, thanks.
Grr... I like them both, I feel as though I treat them like the same character, but if I had to choose it be season 1 Clementine.
S1 by far. She had more interesting traits and they did a finer job of bringing me to like and want to care for her. I think this largely comes back to her lack of motivation in S2. She's just... blahhhhh.... there.
Season 1 Clem. I find it hard to even remember that season 2 Clem is the same person as season 1 Clem....
Season 2 Clem is also pretty boring. :-/
Season 1 - I've read a lot fictional stories, played a lot of video games, watched a lot of movies and tv shows. And with the exception of Lee Everett, none of the other characters in those other forms of media, in those other universes or storylines even come CLOSE to capturing my heart the way Clem-Cake did. She is a masterpiece.
Season 2 - Meh
Season 1. I liked her better because we actually had a purpose/responsibility of taking care of this innocent girl, and preparing her for the horrors outside. Season 2 Clem seemed kinda bland with no character development or anything.
S2, I don't know why people hate her so much, S1 Clem was so wide-eyed and innocent because she had hope she would find her parents, and in the mean time she had people like Lee who loved her like family, and would protect her until then, by the end of S1, and beginning of S2 Clem;
People wonder why Clem in S2 is so detached, and depressed. The thirteen things I listed broke Clementine, and that's why she's no longer so optimistic. One of the reasons why I love Clem in S2 is, she didn't let that stuff break her sanity, she didn't end up like the Governor, or Jolene, or Stranger.
Both are different characters. Season 1 Clementine was happy, optimistic, good girl. I liked her a lot. When season 2 Clem (rarely) smiles it's a fake smile. She's grim, serious, unlikeable. I understand, this would probably happen to everyone after ZA, but it was game writers task to prove that inside older Clem hides the "s1 Clem". Imo they failed.
I see why Clementine's cold and unemotional, I'm fine with either but it's too late to revert her character back to season ones personality.
Season 2 Clem because I like when characters hit a rough spot which was why I liked the second season a little less than the first. Now all she needs to do is find hope to bring back that cute smile
I have never been so attached and connected to a character as S1 Clem. Cared for her a hell of a lot more back then.
S2 Clem is just your 'typical badass little girl in an apocalypse'. Yawn.
While S2 Clem was overall fun to play as and had some great lines, I liked S1 Clem better as a rounded out character. She felt more like a natural, real person to me, and definitely more consistent with how she was written. And on a personal level, I was able to get more into Lee's character, since I have younger siblings about Clem's age (and I'm about Luke's age), than trying to get into the headspace of a child who at the same time was more grown up and hardened than a child of her age should have to be.
Nothing fundamentally wrong with either presentation of her character I think, I just identified with S1 more than S2.
That being said, I do think Clem's story can be continued in S3, but not necessarily as the PC. I think it would be interesting to play as someone in a similar situation to the family that Clem meets at Howes, someone that you can end up at odds with. If you're playing as someone where the needs of your group clash with Clem and AJ's, what would you do? It's an interesting question, and Clem definitely has enough opportunity to do enough ruthless things in S2 to put her on the path to antagonist status. Not a villian, at least not yet, but not necessarily a friend either.
400 Days, if nothing else, definitely showed that just because a character is a protagonist PC in one story doesn't mean they'll be on your side in another story.
Season 1 cause she looks cuter
I like Clementine in both seasons and would class her as one of my most favorite video game characters.
Looking at the poll results the three choices are fairly even so it seems like a lot of people are split between which Clem the prefer. I have seen some people saying that they don't like season 2 Clem as much due to her personality change but maybe the fact we played as her is season 2 rather than her being the deuteragonist made her personality feel different to some people.
I love how Season 2 Clementine can take care of herself in any way shape of form, whether it be stitching her arm, or walking straight through a zombie herd without being noticed by the entire herd.
But I also love Season 1 Clementine because of how adorable and cute she is, she says all the things a 8/9 year old would say, (example. okey dokey, doo doo etc.) She also acts her age aswell but a little bit more mature, (eg. good at quick thinking like at the drug store in episode 1 by grabbing Lees fathers stick to block the door, yet in episode 2 she convinces to Lee that she put a bug on Ducks pillow.)
I like them both for different reasons so I'm going with the 3rd option.
Honest answer?
I honestly didnt like her in either season all that much, season 1 yah she was the little girl you had to look after, I liked her but pretty much every other character was more interesting to me as I didnt know if and when they would die.
In season 2 clementine is dead to me as we are now playing as her and I make my own decisions
Season 2 Clementine for some reason reminds me a lot of Connor Kenway from Assassin's Creed. Maybe she'll be more interesting in season 3.
Was there even any development for season two Clementine?
I didn't really feel attached to season two Clementine, so season one Clementine takes home the cake.
I choose season 1. Her of way saying things were just so cute. That and I completely agree with CrazyGeorge.
S2 Clem was a bad-ass though so I liked almost just as much.
