    Same problem here! I am from Italy, playing on digital copies on a PS4.

    I hope this will be fixed soon, it's very disappointing!

    ITS a goddamn shame ! I have the same problem right here ! Dont wanna play the game without my dissicions from season one man! Fix iT asap please telltales ;) ive got both the disc verslons on ps4 and i am a dutchman. Make a patch real soon cause people including myself dont appreciate this shit we want to continu our journeys!

  • If you are not able to solve the problem by a patch. I would swap my german version for a us version.

    so we gonna hear anything about this, because Telltale have been silent.

    i re-bought the first season so i can play through, now it's looking like i shouldn't have bothered.

    Reading through other forums it seems telltalle have a history for buggy games and this same glitch happened on the PS3.
    at least a tweet saying "Hey ps4 dudes who payed £40 a couple of fridays ago, we do care about giving you the completed product and will be patching it" would be nice.

    was looking forward to the Borderlands game as well but if this is gonna be they way things are i don't think i'll bother.

    I have seasson 1 + 2 digital edition.
    I spend the whole day yesterday to play seasson 1, today itryd to start seasson two... i cant import my save files wich is very anoing.
    Whats goin on on the ps4 lately? First i bought driveclub. This game still has server problems. Then i bought rocksmith, i allready had it on ps3 and they promised me that i cqn redownload all dlc i allready have on ps3. Yeah dont work bc it will get months before all dlc are downloadable. Now i bought twd seasson 1+2 and cant import my save files from 1 to 2 wich are on the same console? I wont play it before i can do that. It was the last game who i bought digital anyway... you have no chance to get your money back with a digital version... i start to hate nextgen...

  • At this point I just wonder just how widespread this issue is, and if there's a surefire way to avoid it. I'm fiddling around with it a little bit: deleted my existing save, started over. Copying a save slot at least seems to work at this point, but this is practically at the beginning of Season 1 Episode 1. I picked Save Slot 3 this time around and copied it to Save Slot 2. All minor things, but I read once that such attempt worked for the PS3 version, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

    I'm not relishing the idea of doing post-purchase QA for Telltale, but we don't know how far out a patch is, if it's coming at all. It might be helpful if we kept each other up to date on what approach does or doesn't work in the meantime. However, Telltale if you're reading this, I appreciate you looking into this matter and I'm sure we would all love to be updated regularly, however scarce the information is.

    By the way, is it confirmed by now that the save import issue solely impacts the AU/EU PS4 versions of the game? I know it's present on both the disc-based and download versions of the PS4 game, but other than that it's all a little murky.

  • Please telltale... just let us know you're working on it at least! This is literally a game breaking bug. It has ruined our stories.

  • Within another thread I read a telltale games official said they are checking that.

    I am sure by now the whole european / australian version is buggy. No matter if digital or retail.

    I can't believe they are going to ignore that.
    I think it's just a matter of time.

  • did anyone try again since PSN/PS4 2.02 firmware update ?

    I was reading an article about dragon age inquisition developpers getting corrupted save file erros and the console freezing since 2.0

    It seems that 2.02 fixed that.

  • Same problem here on PS4. Spain, Europe, tried to import game files on- / and offline, both games physical disc version.

  • This is actually getting ridiculous now and I am losing my faith here I can understand technical difficulties at launch but this is ludicrous now its been 2 weeks since UK release and I wanted to play and complete Season 2 before Assassins Creed Unity came out this Friday but obviously that not going to happen now, we payed good money for this and now we cannot even play the bloody game without randomised choices I'm disappointed in you TT the game was clearly not test played in the EU otherwise you would have spotted this error beforehand and all I have to really say is this GET IT SORTED!!!

  • I got the exact same message from the same guy last week...this wait is ridiculous - it shouldn't take that long to fix a little bug. Telltale is once again shitting on the European consol owners...

  • Got season 1 on 25/10 and season 2 on 30/10
    Finished Season rather quickly and 400 wanting to start season 2 but then this problem showed up. Feels like i'm waiting forever for this to be fixed just like everyone else. Seems like only US has no problems with this and the rest does. Why is that? I don't think TT can even explain that.

    Umh yes a week ago i believe was the PS4 system update i'm sure others had it too.
    With seeing this i had abit of hope so i tried TWD season 2 after the update was done...
    NOPE --__-- it's still there.

    I'm doubting to get WAU for PS4 now,
    can anyone tell me if that game is okay?
    Like in no bugs or errors or something else.
    I find it awful to see how many people have this problem but us as players can only hope,assume,wait and keep our fingers crossed that TT will fix this soon or at least let us know more. But of course it's also up to you with what you do,get rid of the game or wait or whatever.

    I'm almost forgetting Season 2 or losing my excitement over it.
    Can't wait for AC:Unity and FC4 and maybe WAU.

  • I played The Wolf Among Us over the weekend on ps4 and had no issues, so that should be fine. TT had released like a day one patch for that anyway.

    Hi Telltale,

    I can't believe it is taking you ages to give it a fix or AT LEAST an answer in this thread. If auto import is not possible, why don't you give us a step-by-step instructions how to do it manually?

    I am sorry, I will not continue with the story with random characters on season 2. I am selling my copy to somebody that doesn't care. I guess The Walking Game adventure is over for me.

    Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Gta 5 - there is tons of great games to try.

  • I've already played the second season on PS3 and PS Vita , and I can say the imported choices are not so many or so important, but this is not an acceptable excuse for the lack of news from TT.

  • Same I think this is going to be a long term issue and I honestly think we aren't going to see any results any time soon :( shame as I really wanted to get S2 completed before AC Unity and Dragon Age Inquisition alas I'm sure DAI my most anticipated game since 2011 will help me forget all about this problem until its fixed :)

  • I have the same issue on PS4 retail version from UK. If they can't fix the save file problem can they patch so we can at least choose the choices we want instead of them being random then we can choose the choices we made from our play through of season 1. Kind of what you can do for the mass effect series. Would be so annoyed if they fix it but I have to play through Season 1 again as I don't have time with all the other game releases.

  • Hi, is this affecting all UK PS4 versions? I've bought Season 1 again(360 original purchase) on PS4 with the intent to playthrough before my first playthrough of Season 2 which I've not yet bought on any platform yet as I was specifically waiting for the PS4 edition, just waiting now on this import bug to be fixed before I make the purchase

    Country: Germany.
    Game Versions: Both seasons digital.

    Unable to import save file. Of course finished S1, including 400 days.

  • I completed Walking Dead 1 which was on disk. I have downloaded series 2 but like a lot of people it didn't read my saves from series 1. Also how in the hell do you grab the walkie talkies. I have been trying for over 2 hours. Also 2 other people have tried on my PS4 and they haven't been able to either. This is spoiling a pretty good game. Its impossible to contact Telltail games so can anyone out there please help.

  • Hey guys, I've found a way of starting the game with practically the same story as when you left off, I started the game and it didn't find a save file but started the game anyway, it recaps the choices you made BUT when you see something you didn't choose, go back to the main menu and do it again, till it hits the choices you made and then start the game, I only had to do this 3 times till it worked, the main choices are from Season 1, it doesn't matter about 400 Days (yet as I haven't met the characters in Season 2 yet) but it's better than waiting and until Telltale come up with a fix, I've started the game with all of the same choices I made without a save file :) good luck to you all if you wait for a fix but I've made my decision and I'm off to kill zombies with Clementine, feel free to join us ;)

  • Just going along with the main choices will likely mean you miss out on the more nuanced effects of your smaller choices. Personally I don't want anything randomly generated -- I made my choices and dialogue picks for a reason -- so this is not an option for me and I'm sure many others.

    In case you or anyone else are unaware, Telltale emailed me and a few others recently stating that a fix has been submitted to Sony and hopefully the patch will be out in "several weeks". The wait sucks, but at least it'll allow you to properly continue your game.

  • Same problem here. Both copies of The Walking Dead are on disc and it's unable to import my save from Season 1. It's such a disappointment since i bought and finished the first season on PS3 and bought it again on PS4 so my choices would follow onto the Season 2. Please fix it asap. Thanks.

  • Heeeeeey!!!!!!!!!! Telltale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can we pliz get an update on this thread on how its going with fixing the problem?? Will we be able to go on with our game before Christmas or is the fix a next year thing.
    We are MANY people sitting here, we have spent money on this and we cant play on!!!!
    I payed over 40 euros in the store, and now I see the game is halved priced in the ps store. SO if I knew about the problem and so I would have waited buying the second season and would have saved 20 euros!
    Atleast I deserve an answer on whats going on and how the progress is going and so on!!!!! Ehhh????

  • Just got on my PS4 to find an update for Season 2! It's been patched yay!!!!! Season 1 save file found, it's time more Clementine!
