LOL most math is too hard for even the magical internet calculators that give you a graph of a parabola or whatever, at one point or another the calculator just becomes a tool.

History... If you don't believe that's important, then idek what to say...

    Wii for sport.... REALLY...

  • Yes. I can 't see how we will need any lesson we do after the 8th grade.

  • Either your school is fucking amazing and can teach 12 years of material in roughly 8 years, or you just don't know its importance..

    What grade are you?

  • Math, please tell me when you will use all those equesion.

History, if you like it, then good for you, I agree that it is a nice lesson, but it isn 't needed.

Sports, that was just for the lolz, if you want to exersise then go ahead and work out, no one is stopping you.

    Music meh.

Does Wii teach you how to play sports? I got perfect in Wii bowling and in real life I suck. And kids need to be more active these days so don't bring up the "it's a technology world now" argument. Also not everybody has the money to buy a Wii.

Dora doesn't teach you very good Spanish, just some basic stuff, and some people don't have T.V(I know people).

Then it's not even English anymore. And I don't see people speaking slang in real life, but I know that some people probably do and it will sound stupid, and inarticulate.

I don't think globes show terrain, provinces/states, and minor cities.

True but we can learn where they didn't.

Sorry I have to be that guy, but like TDM said, school is good for you :P.

  • I do see the importance of it up to a cairten point but you, or anyone, will not use most of the things we do in school, EVER, so what is the point to some of the lessons?

  • What? xD

What do you mean?? Do you really think that Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Differential Math and PROBABILITY can all be handled with a calculator? LOL

History is essential, if you want to be an educated person that knows about the history of this planet and can understand what people are talking about, it's essential.

It's also essential to learn lessons from the past so history wouldn't repeat itself, and the origin of many important things, the history of your country is also important.

I hated basically everything outside of history and english back in the day... but you can't honestly actually believe that all these subjects are useless... right? Imagine where the world would be if everyone was ignorant. We certainly wouldn't be on this forum having this discussion.

  • You will use anything in your life at some point, plus you can't know for certain what you'd want or have to do in the future, so learning the basics of everything is a good bet for you to have a ground for when you decide to study something further and make money in that industry.

And of course, knowledge is power; “A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge.”

Seriously? Learning about Hitler isn't important?

If no one learned about Hitler, what would have stopped another Hitler rising to power?

equations are one of the most basic things in math, Ancient Greek is a very interesting thing (to me) and it's used a lot in math, not to mention Greek literature like Antigone and all around Greek mythology is fucking amazing and thought provoking, that's where story telling grew from and learning those admirable roots are important, even Telltale's The Walking Dead is following patterns of people like Aristotle with their stories.

Basketball isn't necessary, but it's healthy so why the fuck not.

That is what everyone says about history, never thought people could be stupid enough, not anymore at least, to repeat these kind of mistakes.

  • Well, taking a radical example and by that cancelling out the importance of all of the above isn't a valid argument, you don't learn something like that in high school.

  • History repeats itself, living proof for that is the constant Antisemitism in Europe and people who still worship Hitler and kill Jews.

All math is inseparable from your daily life, video games wouldn't be here without all the complicated equations you post and ridicule.

Probability? Are you seriously asking me what is the fucking use of probability? I'm done.
