What do each of the title screens in Season 2 represent.

What the title said. I know 1 and 2 are meant to give you some indication of the plot. But what about the rest. Are some symbolic or what?

  • The original slide of In Harms Way before they changed it had Clementine and Rebecca in what looked like to be a tiled bathroom or something and if you could see closely it looked like the shadows were prison bars or something and we all thought Rebecca would give birth in this episode due to her image in the slide but never happened. I thought even back then that they would be held prisoner in some way so i wasn't far off right!

    I was very disappointed with Amid The Ruins when it was finally released because the title slide had nothing to do with what ended up happening in the episode. Speculation was that this episode looked like Clementine had lost her hat or was taking part in some ritual with blood on her face. It looked really eery and the music behind the slide (the first music) suited it so well!

    Episode 5 No Going Back was hard to predict at the time, my first thought was that the episode would be about Clem, on her own with no one else alive and would be about her surviving on her own etc.

  • Episode 5's is also indicative of the plot; it's where Kenny leaves Jane and Clem in the truck while he searches for gas. We just can't see the truck.

    I think Episode 3's is kind of a red herring; replace Rebecca with Kenny clutching his dead eye and it'd relate to the plot way more. They couldn't put Kenny in because that would spoil both his return and his injury.

  • You could say that the Amid the Ruins slide represents Clementine's opportunity to turn to the 'dark side' and go towards the pragmatic path by Jane's influence, and the blood on her face represent those who died as shown by the shadows behind her (even though they are actually characters that are really placeholders, especially Eddie who is never seen).

    It's a stretch, but it's better than nothing.

  • The rest are forgotten plots ;-;

  • Yeah, that's really a stretch. My guess is that the original plan for the Episode was vastly different, but Telltale was too lazy to come up with a new slide so they just changed the music and added a purple filter.

    Episode 5 also seemed to build up Wellington as an actual city.

  • they might have changed up the story a bit from what they originally wrote
