Dude don't listen to Wubs.. He sounds like a complete asshole. Although I have never Cosplayed before it's for fun! How many people have dressed up like Darth Vader? How many of them are 6'5 like the original? I doubt very many. Dress as you like.
You can cosplay whoever you want, regardless of what you actually look like. All that matters is that you're having fun with it. If whether or not you resemble him is really that much of a concern for you, though, I'd say yeah. There's definitely a resemblance there.

There actually kind of is, if you look at the general facial shape. The nose, eyes, eyebrows... most of it fits well enough.
