How Much Kenny Changed.
I don't want to make this a huge thread and this isn't a thread hating on Kennys anger in season 2 because I love Kenny and I would never do such a thing..
First off I'm talking about Kenny changing about the way he feels about Clementine, season 1 he rarely talked about Clementine and talked to her directly to her face once/twice I think in the entirety of the season.
You could tell Kenny cared about Clementine from day 1 since he met Clementine, when Clem says "uhh, i'm itchy." Kenny replies with "Well you slept in a barn little lady, you're lucky you don't have spiders in your hair." You might be wondering how I can tell that he cared about her from that sentence, because he had a sense of humour with Clementine, knowing that Duck is going to have a friend made Kenny like Clementine. This is determinant but Kenny gets angry at Lee in episode 2 if you decide to not give any food to Clementine/Duck he says something along the lines of "you have that little girl to take care of and you cant even spare her a little bit of food, after 3 months of being starved." The only other time Kenny really talks about Clementine is in episode 5 No Time Left, when Kenny says "We will get Clementine back, with or without you." Meaning that Kenny was determined to get Clementine back even with Lee dead/still bitten..
In season 2 Kenny obviously cares about Clementine, that's just a fact, in episode 2 when Clementine meets Kenny again, you have the option to hug him, if you do so he will hug back in happiness and begin to tear up, if you don't hug him and choose one of the other options, he begins to cry of joy because he met someone again that he really cares about.
I don't need to talk about Kenny caring for Clementine throught the entire season even when he got pissed of at her in Amid The Ruins, he still deeply cares about her, and alot of Kenny haters don't realise that, so if you are a Kenny hater replay these sequences and try and be positive to Kenny and you'll see how much of a good guy Kenny really is.

100% agree
Boatman gets enough special attention.
Hmph!
Well for the record, Kenny is my favorite character next to Lee.
And I must say, that Kenny is very caring toward Clementine.
On a quick note, I can definitely understand Kenny being angry if the player had Lee not give Clementine, nor Duck, any food during episode 2 in Season 1.
I know if I saw someone do a kid dirty like that, I'd be upset with them too.
To withhold food from a little kid who's starving, that is just cruel.
Both Lee and Kenny did more for Clementine than anyone else in the group.
Lee gave Clementine a great start, teaching her how to shoot, how to read people, and to hang on to hope.
And Kenny, took her the distance.
Both were good men.
I had Lee side with Kenny in Season 1.
And when it came to who I wanted to have custodianship of Clementine, I had Lee pick Kenny.
After seeing what kind of person Kenny was, there was no one I trusted more.
And likewise in Season 2, I had Clementine side with Kenny.
Even after Kenny was in his worst state of depression, I still had Clementine be there for him.
And when it came to the decision of whether to have Clementine stay in Wellington, or leave with Kenny, I had her leave with Kenny, especially after seeing how close he was to Clementine.
I just couldn't break those two up.
That is exactly how I felt, Lee teaching Clementine and Kenny taking her the distance, thank you someone who actually understands both Lee and Kenny the way I do.
I would be pretty pissed if I knew someone had the food and gave none to the kids and for other people, I would get quite angry actually.
Umm...Christa? Like come on dude, I get that you could argue Lee gave her more, but Kenny was with Clem in season 2 for about 4 or 5 days, and during that time he did put her at risk e.g. forcing her to take the radio.
Like, he did take care of her, but so did Luke, Jane etc.
Christa took care of her for 4 times as long as Lee single-handedly and taught her first aid, despite going through the loss of her child and husband.
Oh, and also Clementine even LIKING Kenny is determinant, and my clem certainly learned no life lessons/skills from him.
That's fair enough and i get can understand your argument towards the whole Lee/Christa/Kenny thing, with who took care of her the most and taught her, there's an actual thread on this.
I'm going to give the counter argument of, Christa might have taught Clementine to bandage herself and stuff like that, but didn't teach important/really easy things to teach a.k.a how to build a fire?!
Liking kenny is determinant you're right and I know allot of people that have hated him since season 1, and that was kind of the point of this thread, to show to Kenny haters that Kenny isn't actually a really bad guy like everyone thinks he is..
Allot of people actually forget that Lee actually killed someone because of how angry he got, Kenny didn't even threaten Clementine after she chopped her in the skull (determinant) allot of people loved Lee still though, including me i'm still grieving his death.

Granted, both Christa and Luke were good to Clementine.
I know myself, if I played as Lee again, and was in the position of having to choose Clementine's next guardian; and Kenny wasn't available, I'd choose Luke.
However, I honestly believe that Clementine stands the best chance of survival with Kenny.
Yes he can be quick-tempered, irrational, and whatnot, but Kenny is also smart, has got a good measure of life-experience, is extremely tough both physically and mentally, and he flat-out doesn't quit; even Walter stated that about Kenny.
And unlike Luke, Kenny is willing to set-up and make tough decisions.
In a situation where there is no right answer, Kenny would be able step-up and actually do something, whereas I honestly feel that Luke wouldn't be able to stop looking at things analytically.
I'm not saying that people shouldn't think before they act, on the contrary thinking things out is always good business, but there also comes a time when you have to actually make a decision.
hey i'm not a kenny hater.... even tho i shot him :'/
Gotta admit thats funny.
If you shot Kenny, how does that not make you a Kenny-hater?
Cause your professed actions, make your statement of not being a Kenny-hater sound contradictory.
Please explain.
I would assume that people could find Kenny at fault during his fight with Jane and yet not actually hate the guy, or carry some sort of bias against him.
So if you saved Carley instead of Doug, are you automatically a Doug hater, or vice versa? Choosing certain story elements doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how well you like a character. It could, but the details aren't all that simple.
In this instance, shooting Kenny could be seen as stopping him when he's gone too far despite the heavy emotions behind that shot. Basically you can do exactly what Clementine does, shoot him to stop him in his uncontrollable rampage, but still cry over him and have the option to give him something to smile about in his final moments. It also has a lot to do with the ambiguity of the struggle up until that point, in the event that we didn't know Jane was lying. Obviously, we know afterwards, but it's really your first ever choices that truly determine your story. The point is, the act of shooting him does not necessarily imply hating him.
Only after he didn't have his precious stupid boat to worry about. You forgot that he also mentions Clementine when he says "You know I care about her", and then goes on to practically say he won't go with you to save her if you do anything other than kiss his ass despite how much of a prick he's been up until that point. If he truly cared all that much about Clementine, he'd have helped no matter what from the get-go. So let's not pretend Clementine being lost was reason enough for him always being by your side, at least not 100% of the time. If you got that version of Kenny, that's great. I've no problem with that. But I didn't, so I simply follow Kenny's example and refuse to forgive him so easily.
I already know he can be a good guy. The problem is that Kenny at his worst is still just as much determinant and thus canonical as his good points. He can be a good guy, and he can be a selfish asshole. Both are valid. From there, it just depends on which one you personally choose to have in your story.
Really close Kenny fans can shoot Kenny, I know pewdiepie did it, because he felt sorry for Kenny and it was the end of the road for him.
thank you guys for making him explain that...
i don't want him to become more worse... it's like he's gonna kill anyone.. since he's unstable , i know he tried his best to protect Clem and the baby but killing people jumping into such conclusions is not right at all without knowing what really happen ... well that's just my opinion you don't really need to go apeshit on me...
