I Don't Like Clementine's Model In Season 2

edited December 2014 in The Walking Dead

Clementine's model in Season 1 was so well done, it was easy to feel sympathy for her. When she smiled, it made you smile, when she cried, it made you feel sad.

In Season 2, I don't know if it is the model's fault or the animator's fault, but she just seems... off?

First off, what happened to the little lines under her eyes? For me, that was her most interesting and endearing facial feature in Season 1, it made her face look less empty and more cute. I haven't seen anyone mention this change of her model and I know it's not a big deal but I don't see a reason for it. Almost every other character has some kind of line under their eyes and it's nice, it looks natural and distinguishes them. But in Season 2, her face looks bland and like I said earlier, empty.

Also, whenever she cries in the game or is supposed to look sad, the lines under her eyes used to make her look so devastatingly sad. But now, her eyes squint and she forms this frog like face.

Compare these: Which is more saddening for you?

And every time she smiles during the game, instead of making me feel happy in the first Season, she just looks odd. Her mouth looks a bit like a banana. The worst one during Alvin's determinate death scene,

Another thing: her mouth. One) Why did they make it smaller? It adds to her face looking empty and makes her smile look weird. Two) Why did they make her lips so red for? I get that she's maturing but African American's tend to have S1 coloured lips, not S2 coloured.

I don't mind her nose being bigger because that's what happens when you grow up.

I don't know, I guess it just annoyed me that whenever I was supposed to be happy about her being happy or sad because Clementine's sad all I could think about was how weird her model looked.

Maybe it's just me... what do you guys think?
