Do you think Kenny or Jane will have a shot at surviving?

I've been wondering because they ended in a way where us players have to make a choice instead of a walker bite.

  • I hope not. I don't wanna another 'I got lucky'

  • Optimistic: Yes! TellTale will invest enough in each character to make it feel like each has a separate story with Clementine while still keeping it linear for the ending.

    Realistic: No.

  • They´re determinant. They´re doomed.

  • Kenny obviously will survive because he's jesus, Jane can't lol manipulate herself out of death lol janejokes

  • Damn straight

  • They brought Kenny back they might as well continue his story if you kept him alive.

  • I know but it would be pretty awesome because i've been siding with Kenny since the beginning & don't want it to go to waste.

What a ridiculous approach to narrative that would be.

'This character survived something, THEY MUST NOW BE INVINCIBLE FOR THE REST OF THE STORY'.

    Yeah, okay.

  • Well wouldn't you want Jane to continue her story if she came back?

  • If she came back and had three and a half episodes based almost entirely around her development, as Kenny has had, then no, I would be fine with her story coming to a close there.

  • Whatever they do with both characters, I just hope they both get worthy send-offs

That's all I'm gonna ask for

I hope that they get Carley/Doug treatment and if you are alone you found someone else

  • I hope TellTale has Kenny and Jane major in Season 3 but TellTale will probably just Omid'd them

  • We'll find out.

  • no not because their characters aren't capable of it it is because they have been given the death sentence-Determinant Status

  • Why are people so sure they'll die in, or before, S3E1? Is this a regular occurrence from pre-TWD TTG games?

  • Actually I think the common idea is that they'll make it to S3E1, but not last long into it.

It's because they're determinant. Since they've each already died in some instance, then they will most likely die in the future, as that's what TT has done with every determinant character in TWDG so far. Kenny and Jane will have to leave the story eventually in S3, if TT wants all players' story lines to be the same; otherwise it'll be too difficult for them to have three completely different story lines with three different settings and missing characters. Though...it would be interesting if, after all players' Clem's made it to the same location and if you weren't alone, the determinant characters could follow along with you for a while, and it would be interesting to see how Kenny would react to situations compared to how Jane would react, and compared to how Clem/AJ would react by themselves, too.

Personally I hope that eventually Jane/Kenny will just leave Clem by drifting away to some unknown status, by getting lost or separated from her, or by trying to protect her etc., but I'd hope they wouldn't have a clear-cut dead status. That would be nice.

  • But everyone else she knew from the start died. It would be nice (though I doesn't seem likely ) for at least someone from her past to remain with her till the end.

  • This isn't really a Kenny vs Jane topic though.

  • as long as telltale isnt lazy with the writing, it could be done

  • I think the best anyone can hope for is them becoming "unknown".

  • They'll probably end up like Omid.
