Kenny and Luke: Almost a bromance
As we all know Kenny and Luke never really liked each other at start continuing until the end of E4. But in E5 I felt that they started to become less hostile to each other and that underneath it all they liked each other and had they both made it to season 3 they might have become even better friends.

Kenny...and Luke. Kenny and Luke. Kluke.
Man, they sure look like a match!
...
Just sayin' they look like good friends.
Cluke and Kluke is good.
Um...just a head's up.
The 'Cluke' is infamous for a good reason in this forum.
No Rousey4000 Cluke is not good.
I don't know about that. Kenny seemed to lose more and more control of himself the further you played. Which is why I thought it was the end of the road for Kenny. Left Jane too because she's nuts.
I agree this is my post from another thread:
You do realize that your 'evidence' all comes from Episode 5 suddenly reversing prior characterization? Kenny and Luke were literally bickering and on the verge of a fight when Arvo interrupted at the end of Episode 4.
"No Going Back" takes place in a different universe from the rest of Season 2. After Amid The Ruins, literally everyone died.
rip
Even in EP4 i could sense it a bit, im not saying it was all rainbows and flowers (when has it ever been like that with Kenny?) But even when Luke was going off at Kenny about wanting "to enjoy something else" I found Kenny's reaction to that to be more soft and understanding than ever, like he was giving a friendly advice instead of being loud about it as he usually does.
Oh, and none of this is "evidence" its simply my interpretation of it.
Thats some Bioshock Infinite mindfuck right there lad.
Really though, I'd hope that No Going Back was going to built up for a Ken V Luke showdown, but like many things from Amid The Ruins that was dropped. No Going Back thinks it better than Amid The Ruins and wants to make some other BS instead of actual organic built up and tension.
You know what...Is it wrong that I liked Amid the Ruins more than No Going Back?
I'm not so sure they would ever be friends exactly. Their bickering comes from the fact that they're very different in how they approach conflict within their group, so I don't think they would ever be close. The only reason why they didn't fight much in the finale is because a) Luke died halfway through it (rip), and b) they didn't have any time to. Like @Bokor mentioned, they had been arguing throughout the entirety of Amid the Ruins and only stopped when interrupted by Arvo and his group. Even then, you could see Luke getting annoyed with Kenny's treatment of Arvo.
I think they could have developed at least respect for one another and maybe learn to put aside their differences in order to help Clementine and the baby out but.. let's just say it had gotten down to the two of them, they would not stick together.
Nice joke there, buddy.
Klukey
I'm copyrighting that.
Not feeling it.
but then again you don't feel anything other than hate when it comes to kenny so no point asking you
Gavin Hammon (Kenny) has an ask.com profile, and I once asked him what he thought about Kenny and Luke's relationship. He said distrust and eventually mutual respect.
Untrue, I really like season 1 Kenny as a character.
No Going Back is just purgatory.
Why is it not good? It symbolises Clem and Luke's friendship.
Concurred. My good memory of him's been tarnished by this zombie.
"friendship"
Is that what you call it?
Weird. I get why people always hated him and why people always liked him, but I don't get that. They feel like exactly the same character to me.
He had the same frequent assholish behavior in season 1, and a similar complete meltdown after he lost his loved ones, and the same stubbornness. But he also always had good intentions too.
Then again people say the same thing about Clem, and that doesn't make any sense to me either. Just because a character is developing doesn't mean the character is ruined. Character development is a good thing. And her progression seems pretty natural to me. (aside from everyone clearly deferring to and relying on a 12 year old a bit too much, due to her being the protagonist)
Close this thread please..
Clearly he has never met Lexi Porter.
So pure and innocent.
Somebody tell him, I don't have the heart to.
Oh God all this time I thought it meant friendship.
I like it.
We all wish it meant only that.....
I feel like Pete and Kenneth would've really hit it off since they're both fishermen and they both place family above everything else, but that's off topic.
On the other hand Pete may not like Kenny's violence in E5.
Nope. Pete's all about discipline. He's a military man, after all.
Kluke is where the real deal its at
I love that guys smile.
