Who doesn't love Nick? Yeah he messed up sometimes but he was such a good character otherwise.

Like, I do love Nick, but it just seems unnecessarily exclusionary. Like, if someone doesn't like Nick, that's okay.
Ohhhh Nick. What a man he was. So relatable and realistic. Is reaction to the world was so organic and complex, you can just reallllly feel the pain inside him during his prologue during A house Divide. Superb voice action and writing all around.
Huh, this was the first post by me about Nick that didn't go "OMG NICK! HE SOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT<3 WHAT A FUCKING BABE!" (Will not THAT bad but still I'm pretty sure I have problem.)

Randall was Pete's last name, and Pete was his mom's brother, making that his mom's maiden name. Assuming his parents were married at one point or another, he would have had his dad's last name.
I know I shouldn't have come here, and you guys are gonna burn me down, but I've never liked Nick. He was the last member of CG I cared about. So nope, not all of us.
Okay, cool.
But I find his character very well-written, if it counts.
I'm probably in the minority, but I never liked Nick. If it wasn't for him missing the shot, he would have killed an innocent 11 year old girl. Yes, I can't accept he was willing to kill, or at least severely injure a child without letting her talk.
Later, even though Luke told him to stay behind, he still went to the bridge, and again tried to kill an innocent person without letting them talk, but didn't miss this time. Poor Matthew suffered a lot without deserving because of Nick, and no, he wasn't aiming his gun like Nick said. Sure, he might have been sorry both times, but that doesn't matter much after you've already done it, and might do something like that again.
Yeah, none of that's excusable, but the guy had pretty high anxiety and each time meant it in an effort to protect someone else, not to just mercilessly murder people like Carver. They were bad mistakes, but he had good intentions behind them.
That being said I changed the title to plain old "Appreciation Thread" so people who dislike Nick don't feel compelled to come in and say so. Not exactly the purpose of this thread.
One of the most consistent characters in the season. Based Vanilla Ice.

Nick was an awesome character, I hate how I accidentally got him killed in my canon playthrough.

I can't believe I'm in love with a fictional character that has only eight full minutes of dialogue in a video game.
Yeah, he is on fourth place on the lowest amount of dialogue(of a main character), Carlos is on third place, Sarita and Alvin are on second and Pete is on first.
I don't understand why people love him soo much. He was an ok character but nothing great.
Nick deserved better than his disappointing death. So much better

Definitely agree with this. It would have given the shoot-out more clout and Nick's death some meaning
nick is one of the only two characters introduced in season 2 that i truly cared about, and if curious, sarah is the other. I love both of them with all my heart and was saddened that both were killed off in ep4 (and thats not even why i hate that episode). Nick meant so much to me, he literally reminded me of myself and how id act in every situation hes put in. And even during the times i didnt feel similar to him, i cared so much about who he was and his feelings towards everything. Either him or Sarah should have survived s2, but neither did.
8 minutes worth of dialogue, and he's still one of S2's most developed characters

In all fairness, a lot of people also talked ABOUT him. A great deal of Pete's dialogue is about Nick.
So Nick's dialogue goes something like this: 2 and a half minutes for episode 1, 4 and a half minutes for episode 2,1 minute for episode 3
and 1 second for episode 4. Compare that to Ben's 27 minutes..... Pretty sad actually....
