Alvin and Rebecca could have been easily replaced with Omid and Christa
Take away the time skip. Of course it would have to play out a little different maybe alter the Carver saga slightly but yeah. It could have worked.

Wow never though of that, and it could have ;-;
Actually , we don´t know wjat happened to Christa and Omid. You could make them that Omid Jr is actually Carver´son and that them were the only ones being haunted down. They could have meet Pete , Luke , Nick , Sarah and Carlos a while after escaping Howe´s. Even you could replace Omid dying in pit´s stop with Shel and Becca ending up alone and meeting the other :P
But why would Carver search for the cabin group then? If he's not looking for his baby, what is he looking for?
Give him another purpose?
That's what i asked about. What could be the new reason for him to follow the Cabin group?
It could be anything. Revenge maybe?
I think that could have been the original intent, but Telltale soon later realized that Clementine was too young to do the stuff she did in Season 2.
Well she wouldn't be kicking down doors but she could pull some stuff off.
Yeah, but no one would ask a 9 year old to do everything for them. And choices might not be as heavily impacted since people feel the need to make the choice for her.
I dunno, is it any less absurd for them to ask an 11 year old?
Making the pregnant woman be Christa would mean she wouldn't have had a "love triangle"/rape subplot (or whatever the hell it was) with Carver. IMO I actually kinda like the idea of Clem having witnessed the death of Christa's baby, but not the fact that the writers literally forgot about it c.f. Amid The Ruins.
The choices didn't really have enough of an impact in the first place.
Season 2 was a horrible mess that was written by how many different people. Imagine how much more fluid the game would of been if it was written by one or two people.
Season 1 had a bunch of different writers didn't it? Seems like the problem was too many ideas and rewrites and not enough communicating. Season 2 was all over the place when it comes to consistency.
But you're right, it might've been more fluid if there'd been fewer people writing it.
Season 2 was multiple stories all rolled into one. That is why it never made sense to me, the relationship between Carlos/Clementine/Sarah, that was a plot in itself, that was killed, so the Kenny Chronicles subplot could continue. I'm at this point where i don't really care, i mean i expect the exact same disappointments with the upcoming season. Clementine finds a new group, they all die off for some reason or another, and she is left alone again.
Great
Clementine immortality is getting old. I don't want her to die, however don't make her immune to death. Make the player worry TTG. Even when Clementine was shot by Arvo i wasn't worried. I knew she would probably be OK. Its Clementine, nothing bad permanently ever happens to her.
If you are talking about the comic , don´t forget Sophia
I see what you mean but your problem is with TWD as a whole. Rick, Carl, Michonne, Maggie and Andrea have brushed with death and have got out unbelievably unscathed. The catchphrase should be "Anyone can die except the main characters"
I don't want people to die, I really don't, however i want it to have meaning. I didn't care when any of the Cabin Group People died, not really. How much should i care for people i barely know? There is that universal care, where its tragic, but in reality i don't care. I remember when Luke was sinking in the water and made a frozen joke, the first time i played that scene.
I actually want them to rebuild a strong cast for S3, and actually have a strong Group for S4. So each loss feels deep, meaningful, not hollow like Nick's, Sarah, Pretty much everyone's demise.
I Felt nothing when they died.
I get your point. I remember when you made a thread about not caring about Alvin when Carver killed him. Now if that were Omid it would have cut deep and we would have despised Carver even more
Personally i didn't like Omid. He made fun of Lee's arm, and i never forgave him for that. He was ok, but i wasn't shedding any tears when he converted into dog food.
He was trying to cheer him up. He saved Lee's life on the bridge. The group never would have gotten the train to Savannah if it weren't for his dwarfism. He took a bullet to the heart trying to save Clementine. Only good people are reincarnated btw :P
He made a insensitive joke at people's expense i do it all the time, People all the time come down for my inappropriate humor, so why should Omid get a free pass.
Not many good people left in TWDG. Everyone "good" should be dead by now.
I'm not looking forward to Season 3 anymore because of these reasons. It's a case of "why should I care if it's just going to end the same by slaughtering the cast and not do anything new?" Season 2 tried to remind us too much of Season 1 at times that by the end all the constant Lee references and call backs to Season 1 got too much for me, just as much as Bonnie constantly mentioning Clem's cool jacket. Now, I don't mind Lee references but it kind of brings up the question: what about Clem's parents?
Or the fact that Clementine has the education of a first grader, I understand that she is a smart girl, however she has the education of a 1st grader. She can't read probably, doesn't know how to add subtract, etc.
Does she know how to think critically? Without school you wouldn't have cricitical thinking skills, you would be disadvantaged. its like survival is important, but so is bettering yourself to be more equipped for the future.
Well, she's almost a teenager and will fight back if things get, uh, "squirrely". (Thanks Kenny)
They did more than what they would have if she was 9.
...School teaches anything but critical thinking skills.
But hey, at least I know the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
(I'm being bitter about school, just ignore me.)
1st graders know how to add and subtract. Most can usually read but not at a high level, I doubt Clementine could properly read a warning sign talking about high voltage or something like that.
