What I Don't Understand
This is gonna be a quick little post because I don't have a lot of time today and I kind of need to get going but this has been on my mind for a little bit and I just figured out a way to kind of explain it.
Now what I don't understand is the ending with Kenny, When Kenny persuades Edith to try and get Aj and Clementine into Wellington without Kenny and she accepts, why can't she just accept Kenny as well? She can accept Clementine, a 11 year old girl, and a baby that was recently born and formula isn't easy to find, but they can't accept a middle aged man as well? This has been bugging me, because I really do think they could have just let Kenny in aswell as Clem and AJ but idk.
Tell me what you guys think down there bye bye

Yeah it is kind of stupid.
She tells the people there is a little girl and a baby and just 1 man who have been traveling together and they say No, only the kids.
In reality I think they would have let Kenny in as well if they would let Clem and Aj in
Because even in the Kenny ending, telltale has their Disney-limits.
It's the walking dead. Wellington is clearly overcrowded for now. Expecting everything to be perfect is only going to end in disappointment.
I'm guessing they really wanted Kenny's send-offs to be heartbreaking no matter what way you end this season, so having the choice between going with him or staying at Wellington without him was a must. I agree though, if they're willing to let two kids in (especially a baby that needs formula), then you'd think they could squeeze one more person in.
If you kill Kenny after he has killed Jane you get no feels.
Oh right, I completely forgot that ending. My bad. Still though, the majority of them are meant to give you "the feels".
Because Kenny has to look like he's sacrificing so he can look like a hero, cause Telltale has some strange bias with him.
Apparently children require less resources than grown men. Besides, a baby is more important in the long-run than an ageing one-eyed man.
That's what I was thinking.
Morals aside, why would Edith bring in a child who obviously can't do anything and take up a lot of resources?
I think she was a bit moved by Kenny. He was begging her to keep the kids .
It's probably pretty hard to deny a safe place for a baby and a little girl.
For what you said in your first sentence, yeah I think that's about it.
For what you said in your second sentence, well, I did say "morals aside".
Cause they can do what they want with their own character...?
It is their character, but he is given an unbelievable amount of screen time and over shadows the other characters.
This.
I've always wondered this, if you think about it the adults in the apocalypse usually don't use up as much resources as the kids and babies who are still growing and require those resources. I felt like it was to sugar-coat Kenny, really if they were running low on resources they should think more about their entire community than give bags of supplies away to every stranger that passes their gates, it's good morality but they've got an entire community to take care of, for all we know people could be dying within the walls of Wellington.
True.
Morals play a big part in stuff like that. In the end, there's no real reason to keep a baby alive in the apocalypse, other than it being the ''right'' thing.
And of course trying to maintain civilisation, but maybe they should have built a community without a psychotic leader in order of the world being put back to how it was.
Btw this has nothing to do with the post, but I don't think anyone remembers that Edith, shot a fucking rifle at Kenny and Clementine therefore bringing walkrs to the area, so Kenny will have to defend himself against that, and we don't even know if he picks up the pistol or not..
I think they did it because they wanted to protect the kids. Now, they wouldn't take Kenny and leave Clem & AJ would they ?
Its to make the ending more sad and emotional.
It's probably because the children are the future of the world. In apocaliptic community each one is important, especially a newborn. Hell, it's almost a miracle to see a baby in the world gone mad.
I don't think Kenny cares about walkers at this point.
I don't think anyone does.
Children require less, period. They could also keep Kenny out for sinister reasons, maybe they are up to something.
Again, they can use a character because they like him/her. its not like the fans are the ones producing the content, theyre making it for us. They can choose whatever design choice they please as long as its actually released in the end. The creators dont HAVE to listen to the fans if they dont want to and should do what they personally think it good. I reallly hate the way determinant characters were handled s2 but its not like they have to listen to me when i complain about it. If they love kenny, they should use kenny. I hate clem and they still always use clem, and i respect them for doing that, i just dont like it
You know I'm starting to think, what if Lilly knew Clementine, AJ and Kenny arrived at Wellington's gates and she really is the leader and she's the one who told Edith that only Clementine and AJ are allowed in, it's a possibility you know :x
well even if he's in s3, he wont be the main focus due to that determinant status of his :P
It is their content and they can do what ever they want. But I'm just trying to say that they always make Kenny the main focus and I think its annoying.
well luckily for you, even if Kenny is in s3 he can't possibly be the focus due to that determinant status of his :P
Edith's little "I made the case that-" makes it sound like she just barely convinced whoever she asked to let them in
Emotional and moral appeal is pretty potent when you use it on the right people
Also they most likely saw how willing Kenny was to leave. If the guy's willing to leave, they have the perfect excuse to only take the kids, right? I mean, 2 mouths to feed are better than 3 mouths to feed, after all.

k.
Maybe Telltale will work a way for Kenny and Jane to play a role in Season three's story.
its what im hoping, tho prolly not probable
Honestly,an "one-eyed" man would be more usefull at welligton."Apparently children require less resources than grown men."He can gather supplies,do jobs and stuff. While the baby can do nothing. However,I agree that a baby's life is more important.
