Is it safe to say that all hope is lost for a Season 2?

  • Woah Carverwasagoodman I didn't do it! :(

You can't ask why someone got banned, it's against the rules, you will find yourself banned if you continue to ask.

  • Yeah dude; not everyone that plays MineCraft is 8-12 years old, I know plenty of ppl aged 17-24 that play it a lot...

Why would anyone be offended by your comment? My main worry isn't that MC will suck (though it will, mark my words). It's that the younger audience attracted by Telltale may mean they have to tone down their games to suit a younger audience.

  • True, but to be fair the majority of people who play Minecraft are younger. No offence to older people who play it intended.

  • I agree they should get a bigger audience and that they shouldn't just stick to mature games, but the inevitable consequence of brining in a younger audience is that, if they become a large source of your revenue, your going to have to make products that appeal to them.

And as for the part about parents: I don't mean any offence, but their are a lot of irresponsible parents out their.

  • it seems that Minecraft will be the game released alongside TWD S3 and not Season 2. And since so much time has passed since the game ended, I have lost all hope on a Season 2 confirmation at this point.

  • Maybe since they have to rigidly work within canon it's going to take them a while to write a proper story? Give it some time. With them working on so many games now, we might be waiting more than a year between releases for some games. Especially games that will be more difficult to write.

  • No offense, i still want to play the game. I understand that you don't care, but i still do.

To be honest, I wouldn't care if there was a season 2 or not. Everyone seems too obsessed with another one, and I admit, it was a great game

I found my twenty two year old employee, playing mine craft on work hours. Lets just say i sent him home so he could play mine craft 24/7.After receiving a phone call from his mother, I sent him home for a week, and told him if i ever see him playing Mine craft at work again, its over I don't care if we are related.

  • I think I agree with your point. Because your point IS kinda VALID actually far as making logical sense. These same folks moan, plead and beg for another sequel or sometimes sequel after sequel. Then get their underwear in a bunch when the sequel turned out to be far from what their expectations had hoped it could be. Walking Dead season 2 is a fine example. People were so impressed with the original that they held up the sequel to a high standard. (Which is understandable) but sequels rarely ever surpass the original and the original often always remains the superior installment over all the sequels. Its often a big gamble for the developers. Few sequels really do hit the jackpot, while most really do not rub you the same way as the original did.

Just because Wolf Among Season 1 was great, does not guarantee the same will be true for its hypothetical sequel or even if it will have been worth being created. Then those same folks would probably trash talk what they urged TTG to create blaming them when perhaps at the time those ideas looked and sounded great on paper just executed poorly...... Feels similar to what Dr. Malcolm once said "Instead of being so preoccupied with whether or not they could, you should stop to think if they should". - Jurassic Park.

Telltale is releasing max two games in the same time. I want to play something new from them but with another sequel my chances are 50 percent or less. Get it or is it too complicated?

  • ^THIS!

I have pointed this out before; they had to rewrite the story after Ep 1 was released because the comic writer's hated it/it didn't fit the canon. TWAU is probably the hardest game series to write for because there is an entire comic series set after it with spin-offs and the game is a canonical prequel to it. If the game was non-canon then Season 2 would've probably been announced last month, but unfortunately it isn't so we will have to wait for TellTale to write a good enough story that fits the canon and Bill Willingham's appreciations.

  • And this is exactly what I stated in the other topic. I'm glad that at least some people understand what it takes to create another season of The Wolf Among Us, since it's not as easy as the other series. All we have to do now is just be patient, even if we have to wait longer for season two, then I'm cool with it. I'd rather wait an extra year and get another great season of such amazing game, than get another "meh" season of TWD every 8 months.

  • I remember an interview where TellTale said that their TWD game is canon with TWD comic series... I don't see how though as they never mention characters from the games in the comics, though there are some comic characters in the game (like Hershal in Season 1).

I would really like a non-canon TWAU game where anything can be done that goes against canon, like starting a relationship with Snow or another female character entirely! (BigbyxNerissa or BigbyxBloody Mary)

Yep, something tells me he would definitely love it. :D Go go BloodyBigby!

In all seriousness, I'm 100% on board with the idea of Season 2 plot being non-canon. Having the opportunity to start everything with a clear slate and make the story flow the way we want it to without any prejudices is always nice, if you ask me.
Plus, the writers will not be restricted in their work anymore, which should give them every possibility to come up with good material.

  • Seriously though; that cover better be a symbolism of Rose's control over Bigby, I don't wanna see Bigby sleeping with anyone but Snow in that issue (seriously there is bound to be a scene of the two of them in action or in the bed naked afterwards; if there isn't then I'll just assume the two had a handshake at Bigby's return)

  • i waited all night for TWAU 2nd season announcement... and i got stupid minecraft. TWAU is unique in a way that stupid minecraft will never be.. you can make all the stories you want, but by announcing a minecraft series is nothing but a money thing. the studio who made all those amazing and unique games like S&M, TWAU, BTTF,TFMI.. would do a minecraft series? ummm NO. i wont look at telltale the same way, YES. all the kids around the world will buy their minecraft game, but us true fans who followed them since way back with bones, S&M will change the way we look at them. they arent the same unique telltale. its just another game company to me :) and its ok, all companies want money now.. but its a shame :)

  • Me being patient and waiting..... ....months later ''Telltale annouce a minecraft story mode''

um no. i wont be patient. that what a forum is about! they wont make a game if no one's demand it!
