Season 2 DLC Theory: A "new angle" on from the story???
Seeing as how many people think that the different endings will be not matter and that s3 will start same for every choice or that it will be a new story,i have a theory! Maybe they will make a dlc which changes completely depending on the ending you chosse... So it will either be set at wellinghton or howes and either with kenny or jane or with them both dead and if they are alive they kill them off or somehow get rid of them in the dlc and something in the dlc gets you to the same point... so if this does happen, season 3 can start at the same point for everyone.. I got this idea beacuse i really want clems and alvins story to continue and it may not because of the whole "new angle on the story".. it might also mean that you will be playing as both of them since in the new telltales games you play as multiple characters.. This is just my theory and me expressing my thoughts, let me know what you think. Also sorry if that was too much to read, its my first thread :-)

Well done. And welcome.
I think that it'd be a good idea to spin the endings in a DLC, or make season 3, 6 episodes. I personally wish that TT doesn't take the easy way out, and just kill Kenny/Jane. But rather, make them strong influences on Clementine.
Playing a toddler would sure be fun.
Thanks.. And since they can die in episode 5 probably not but it would be cool for determiant characters to actualy have a bigger role and influence..
lol
Triangle - ...
Square - [Cry]
X - [Cry Harder]
Circle - [Poop]
But I was thinking maybe chapter 1 would be present time and then they go a couple years later (like the beginning of All that remains) maybe when AJ is 5 or 6 and clem is a teenager... but in my opinion Telltale are good writers (despite couple of flaws) maybe they could pull of playing as a toddler :-)
Yeah, but they can only timeskip two more years to keep the game within the comic timeline so that´d put AJ at 2. As great as Telltale is a 2 year old is a bit too much.
Oh yeah, i forgot about the comic timeline.. i guess i was wrong with that theory.. What do you think they mean with the new angle on the story.. I really wish that we get to keep going atleast one more season with Clems story..
I think we´ll keep playing as Clem as well. I think the new angle could be just a change of setting...like playing from within a community.
I would like to see Clem as leader of a bigger community like howes or woodbury but not be an evil psychopat and kill half of your own people :-)
The Walking Dead: Upside Down Mode
A new invigorating and rejuvenating angle on the series
Comes with a special DLC episode: 45 degrees
Congrats on your first thread! I remember mine...
I think people would be upset at having to buy a DLC, and much rather want a 6 episode season. I want both though. My Nate DLC will come.....eventually.
If we ever get to see Clem as a community leader I assume what kind of leader she is will be up to us. So some "evil" options are probably gonna be there for the sake of replay value but that´s it.
Ok, this is the clear answer
that's acute answer
Thanks.. I hope they do bring him back and also some other characters whose fate is unknown..
Nice! It all makes sense now.
I'd really like to play as Clementine again, but I also think they're probably going to have to switch it up at some point to keep things fresh.
I'm almost confident Clementine will be coming back, as Kevin Bruner has said that our endings will play an important role in Season 3. As to how that is handled is a different story. Now like you, I think a simple DLC or a 6 episode season will suffice as long as our ending is the center of at least one episode. It would be incredible to see our ending play an important role for the whole season, but that's just unrealistic, but it would be nice to see it have an affect for 1-2 episodes. We don't need Kenny or Jane to get Omided (verb, to kill off in the first few minutes for shock value) in Season 3, let them have an impact on the story and be important.
Also, welcome to the forums.
Thanks. It would be nice to have optional characters live a couple episodes after they can die and actually play a larger role unlike some of the other characters... For exaple Nick (who in episode 3 served as Lukes cherleader and ep4 had no lines and died offscreen) and Sarah... Although I did like what they did with Alvin (In ep2 he had a useless death and in ep3 he had a heroic sacrifice).. So I hope that our endings will play a larger role.. Which ending did you get? I stayed with Kenny till The End.
Yes, to see determinant characters actually have an important role would be great. Characters like Carley or Doug from the first season are also great examples, they weren't in the background and actually contributed to the story. Like you said, what they did with Alvin was nice, but also something like what they did with Pete if you went with him at the end of Episode 1 would be cool.
I personally would like to see clementine become like she was in S1, a tag along character to the protagonist. I don't care who the protagonist is, I personally would like Nate because he would be a interesting character to take care of Clementine. He wouldn't know what to say to Clementine, the interactions between him and her would be awkwardly hilarious.
Nate: So Clementine What do you like to do for fun?
Clementine: Bike rides
Nate: Did you say Sniffing lines?
Clementine: NO BIKE RIDES!
Nate: You're such a Debbie Downer, you know that. Let me live in my fantasy!
I played Season 1 twice with different choices and I really liked the difference beetween Doug and Carley (like how Carley was stepping up in arguments and Doug was quiet, Carleys gun skills often came in handy while Dougs bells and lasers were less cool but saved lives nonetheless, different dialogues and relationships, the confession can be made only with Carley, and of course when Lily goes nuts she kills Carly directly and Doug actidently).. Also I really liked Pete and I really wanted to cut his leg off to save him but OH WELL... I imagine if we did have that choice anyway it would be like Sarita (you try to save her by cutting her arm but because of that she dies).
I'm the other way around; I wanna play Clem and meet Nate. Either way some golden interactions would be guaranteed.
I wonder how he'd handle AJ.
lol
It would be really akward..
I remeber the talk between him and Russel..
:-)
Huh. You're really catching onto the Telltale way.
Welcome to the forums, my friend. And great username. I love it.
Maybe the 'new angle' features TWDG S3 at an actual new angle! Like first person! Gee willikers, wouldn't that be riveting!
I'm tired of characters dying. I want Jane to live with Clementine. It's ok to kill characters, but not.every.single.one! They should make the effort and keep both Jane and Kenny if the player chose to stay with them.
Thanks,I got creative. I guess after being a fan of their games i kinda realised it. And thank you for the welcome :-)
Yeah, you eventually catch on when you play the episodes over and over.
And you're welcome.
lol
I hope not.. I dont want another Survival Instinct game..
I hope they do.. The fans will be happy and the writers will make up for some of the bad moments in the game..
But its The Walking Dead... Of course beloved characters are gonna die (unless they are Daryl)...
I don't think we will. Telltale wouldn't humiliate themselves like that, haha.
It's just so weird. Let's take the cabin group for an example; They've survived two years already. Why make all of them all of a sudden die in the span of 2-3 weeks? It seems so unnatural and fast paced. At least space it out a little bit.
Im fine if they change the scenery or if you play as multiple characters as long as we follow Clems story atleast one more season.. It just doesnt feel like the end of her story.
Oh, it's totally not the end of her story. Telltale wouldn't abandon her like that, not when they have so much potential.
Though, I wouldn't want to play as multiple characters. It doesn't seem to fit well with the theme, in my opinion.
From what i got they want to keep it realistic and show that as strong of character someone is they can die at any moment and you cant always expect it (like Lee).. Or they got bored with a certain character and decided to kill him off..
I think I'll go with the latter.
It's The Walking Dead, I think most of us are tired of characters dying... every single episode... every single season... even in DLCs... poor secondary characters ;-; RIP.
I kind of want to see a DLC that explores the characters' pasts, like playing as Sarita and her adventure with Kenny, showing that she wasn't just some replacement that she was a strong female survivor who made it on her own even with Kenny in a weakened state wearing her down or Sarah, showing maybe how she's witnessed the horror of the world before, how her father Carlos shielded her from pain and anguish and how she knew she had to try and learn how to survive but how Carlos prevented her from doing so and maybe even Nick and how he survived with his family and Luke, the events that occurred with Nick's mother when they let a bite victim in and how they met the cabin group. I'd also really like to see a DLC about Tavia, 400 Days needs a story where it's choices have actual impact and I think making Tavia the protagonist in her own story would shed some light on her character and the 400 Days characters. Maybe that's a bit much but I just keep getting hot-headed when TellTale just makes characters practically dead weight without adding experiences they've been through in their pasts :x
Playing as Tavia during the first escape from Howe's would be a great way for us to see Carver and the cabin group again. Nick's mom, George vs Alvin, Carlos doing "crazy/not-nice" things, Carver not being 100% evil...
