Yes, if you're on pc all you have to do is backup your saves folder so that when you re-install your game, you will only need to put the saves back to the same folder. However, if you're on console, I don't know how to do it but it must be possible too.

Where can I find the saves folder exactly ?
If you're on PC you'll normally find them in Documents/Telltale Games/ The Walking Dead.
