Goodbye Kenny!

Hi, this is arsenal3307. Today I wanted to tell you guys what I think about Kenny. I think he's done. What I mean by "done" is that you get an option to kill him while he asks for it. If you didn't kill Kenny, you have an option to bring him to Wellington but sooner or later he's gonna get worse and by "worse" he's going to be in control of the baby as if it was his. In shorter words, he's a ticking time bomb. If you think I'm wrong, what's your thoughts for Kenny in the upcoming season.

  • what's your thoughts for Kenny in the upcoming season.

There are none from me, he's already dead in my play through :P

  • I think telltale will kill him off, the reasonable fans will move on, the crazy fans will complain, make a petition and threaten to boycott telltale before buying all of the following episodes.

  • Same here. I have Clemintine by herself and away from the group.

  • Telltale will probably kill him off because he's determinant.

  • Sounds reasonable, he also has a shit load of anger problems.

Telltale will probably kill him off because he's determinant.

  • He's going to die, that much is clear. I hope they give him a decent, emotional sendoff, instead of just some cheap shock value death. I think he'll be protective of AJ and Clem, but he'll probably be a lot more mentally stable than in No Going Back (that'd kind of defeat the purpose of the Wellington scene).

  • Pretty much. Do you think Kenny will be paranoid and not trust the people inside Wellington to protect Clemintine and AJ?

more like, goodbye season 1 and 2 characters since i've got the feeling that we don't play as clementine... but wait!! she's still involve in season 3... which is...

  • He was pretty trusting of them in No Going Back, so I don't think he'd distrust them. I think he'll definitely be paranoid, just not of Wellington.

Besides, I think that the Kenny and Wellington intros will be completely different and won't relate to each other, since I don't expect the intros to be more than 5 minutes long.

  • He's already dead in my playthrough, so I have zero worries.

Dude...you really need to stop and find something else to hate. You're way more obsessed about this topic than even the worst Kenny fanboy.

  • it wouldnt be stupid, in fact it would be more logical imo, then the endings would allow players to be happy with the one they got. Then for some Jane/Kenny will always be alive/unknown and will never die for them. I think allowing the players a breath of fresh air on the statuses would be a nice change. Unless theyre willing to actually keep both alive until the end (which i hope will happen, but also have high doubts)

All I hope is that both Jane and Kenny can get worthy send-offs for their characters

  • but....not everyone likes clementine, just like how not everyone likes the other characters in the game

im saying shes just as poorly written a character as Duck (actually, duck was more likable than her) or Reggie, i never cared for her for any other reason besides her being a child. Shes unlikable as heck. Id save her cause of how young she is but thats really about it

EDIT: just a little extension, though i have said this in other threads before, i think Sarah is basically what clem should have been like, but instead we got obnoxiousness

  • Yup, me too. I hope not, it would feel like a big waste of 2 characters, but then again seeing how Season 2's determinate characters went, its not looking good

  • It would be nice if TellTale did something like change the size and type of people in Clementine's new group depending on her ending. I think Kenny could survive the entire season, something for TellTaleGames to tell their 'fans' see, determinants don't always die and your choices do matter. Something to please people with high expectations.

  • And yet people get upset when people get obsessed about Kenny.

Well, both Kenny and Jane are gone.

They both should have left earlier in my opinion, never did like either of them.

    And...To be fair here:

    Goodbye Jane and Kenny!

I hope even though I hate both of them I hope they get worth send offs.

I think Kenny is suffering from PTSD, ( Posttraumatic stress disorder.)

I had Clementine support Kenny through the whole thing, and when the two reached Wellington, I had Clementine leave with him.
After seeing how close the characters had become, as well as my own liking for Kenny, I couldn't separate them.
I think Kenny will heal with support and understanding.
Despite his flaws, I still think that deep down Kenny is a good man, and will protect those he cares for at any cost.
Besides, Kenny showed his true nature, when he pleaded that the kids be allowed to stay in Wellington.
Even though that meant he would never see them again.

  • Hell yeah! Kenny is determinant and hopefully will die soon in season 3. I've been waiting for this since season 1 episode 2. Of course I killed him in my playthrough. He was finally punished for leaving Clem in season 1 episode 5 and for being a jerk.

Another Kenny hate thread... Why am I not suprised. Seriously can you stop with this? If you hate a character than you have to create 100 thread's where you say you hate him? And I'm not saying this because Kenny is one of my favorite characters. Its just getting annoying... I hate Jane but you don't see me creating 100 threads of hate about her... I mean you killed him aren't you fine with that? He's dead in your playthough why do you still have to create hate thread's. I just don't get it.

  • Yeah, it did look like Kenny isn't going to be level-headed with the baby when he told Clem "No screwups or mistakes this time, AJ is going to be raised the right way, I promise !" How can you keep a promise like that to yourself ?
