Large group vs Small Group?

I am wondering something. Regarding Season 3, should the cast of survivors be a small group or a large group?

Small group: 3-5 survivors

Large group: 5+

The reason I am asking, do you think that a small group would offer more attachments and give more depths to the characters?

  • Well we've already explored large groups twice and we know they always end up broken. So a small group would be interesting to see. I think it would offer a better in depth story line and would make us attached to the characters more.

  • Definitely a smaller group. With smaller groups, there will be less bickering, you don't need to cut back on supplies as much, and it has an overall better chance of survival. And a smaller group would lead to better development and would make us more attached to the characters.

  • Yeah, I guess we are in agreement. I personally want to see a smaller group in Season 3. Not only does it allow a lot of flexibility, it also makes everyone more or less important.

The reason why I like episode 3, 4 and 5 back in Season 1, it was because the group was small and thus more attachment. I didn't want anyone to die because I felt depended on them.

  • Large Groups = More Voice Actors

And TellTale would probably want to keep as much money as possible

  • Good point. :)

  • I think a small group would be better because having a small group will give us more opportunitys for more in-depth portrayals of future characters.

  • Probably a small group because there could be more opportunities to get attached to more than the 2 Main Characters but I really doubt we would end up being with a small group the whole season, Also it could depend on your ending, We'll see in Season 3.... @Flog61 When was this? Found it when I looked up Confirmed for Season 3 gifs xD

  • I think a small group to me would be more like 7-10 people but that's just me. Smaller group would be better to me because it would be easier to get to know people and work as an efficient group.

  • I want a smaller group like S1 or like the Cabin Group size. Nothing more, otherwise there won't be a chance for the characters to develop well.

  • a group that has only good people in it, but yes, what is "good" can vary between some people, so ill elaborate by saying people like Nick, Doug, or Carley

  • A small group. One that i could Choose myself

Let's be honest, that'd be boring as fuck. There always needs to be an asshole in our group every season to direct our anger at.

On topic, I'd honestly still prefer a "larger" group (5-6) just because it'd probably keep my interest better with everyone having their own individual histories and issues. Although I definitely don't doubt Telltale's ability to tell to pull off an interesting and unique story with a smaller set of characters.

  • I'd choose a large group if people get along well, communities count as large groups which are usually fucked over by smaller groups. Small group, big groups both cause problems really.

  • I would love to start out with a small group, and watch it's numbers grow.
As well as have the option of allowing certain people into the group, or not.
