Omid and Christa remind me of Wash and Zoe from Firefly. Both are shorter, easy going men who are in a relationship with/married to taller, strong "warrior women" (to use one of Wash's terms). Both are shown to care for each other deeply, and both Omid and Wash meet their death due to unexpected, severe chest trauma.
Not really a game trivia per se, but I wonder if any of this was an intentional nod to the show. I thought it was cool, and I really enjoy Firefly.
