Clementine! Go to skool, U wanna end up like ME!

She has the education of a second grader... She needs to go to Tech Prep so she can learn basic things like, math, English whatever. DO you think this should be added in the game, or should we just assume Clementine reads Nancy Drew books off screen. Personally after Season 2, i would rather have a slower pace Season for S3, where Clementine has someone who could teach her all the things she needs to know, like how to Read/Write/ Maintain firearms/ Reload Ammunition, whatever.

Clementine kicking down doors doesn't work for me. It might work for... other people, however i think they should go another direction, have her learn important things, then use them for her survival. Like maybe she gets sick, and she remembered a certain plant is good for breaking fevers. You have to put realism in your game, the whole door scene is what imo, what the writers should avoid in the future.

I kinda wish walter survived episode 2 of s2, he would have made as great teacher for clem as well, he was one (also i just really love walter)

  • Walter was a interesting character, i liked the way he thought, even though i thought he was wrong. He was wasted potential.

  • of course she still want to go to school someday if everythings gonna be normal again.... sillygeorge

  • Yes because learning about a + b and people who are already dead hold strong presidency in the ZA. I don't think anyone has made it a priority to create a learning environment . The purpose of school is to prepare you for the outside world since the outside world consists of flesh eating zombies and killers teaching kids how to survive would be more important

  • That everybody could just get along? The fact that he's murdered by Carver disproves that.

Even so, he had a point about keeping your cool.

  • I'm pretty sure she knows how to read and write, I knew how to do that when I was in the first grade, which she was in when this started. But definitely maintaining weapons and learning how to shoot more advanced guns and not just a pistol. When she shot the rifle, like Pete said, she ended up landing on her ass due to it's kick. So having her learn more about weapons would be great.

    Completely agree

  • Well Clem did met a teacher in Season 2.... he didn't last long sadly.

  • G0 2sck00l Cl3m and d0n't foorg3t yer luOnch!!!!

  • Telltale stop killing teachers dammit! How about instead of a classroom, Clementine gets taught elementary lessons on the go? Someone could tutor her and she can read books on the side.

If that door had to be opened maybe Telltale should have made it into a QTE where she jams that axe/hammer tool into the crevice between the door and frame then just pry it open (granted they would have to alter the look of the trailer's door to fit what I described).

  • which is clear by your grammar and spelling haha (just messing with you ;) )

I kind of agree with the OP - either way, I cannot wait for S3!!

  • I'm not just saying weapons i'm saying anything that would be useful in a situation. For example in s2 clementine is asked to fix a wind turbine. If she had some experience fixing things, or working with her hands that would of been acceptable, BUT SHE DOESN'T. TTG skipped a important part man imo, Why didn't TTG have Clementine have a hands on role on fixing the car? Because they are still treating her like a child, so she didn't learn anything in that experience.

If you don't try, and fail, how are you ever going to learn anything.

  • I always love how the writers for the very first episode made Clem seem "special" by having an 8 year old girl still be stuck in first grade.

  • Steinbeck was relevant. :)

  • I actually think it won't be any more S1-ish slower pace anymore. And about school, TT can always use Christa and make her the one who gave Clementine all the great knowledge, by adding "My friend Christa taught me that" option to each dialogue choice. Wouldn't suprise me.

  • For Clementine to have some sort of hidden knowledge, would be a little Deus ex Machina imo. They need to explain how she got it, just by saying Christa taught me imo sounds a little like "I got lucky, real lucky."

True, but we all know it wasn't "The Pearl," Kino was booooring. I really liked "Of Mice and Men" though.

Damn, I still need to read "Grapes of Wrath." Should probably get started on that Upton Sinclair I have waiting too...

  • Even though I don't want it to happen, it's still possible. Especially if it was something of little importance, like TT woudn't have time, patience or idea of how to explain it.

  • I have this odd hunch that Christa taught her how to read. If not I hope they highlight this in S3.

  • It would be interesting if Kenny/Jane was showing Clem books and such, and if alone, well, Clem will never learn

  • deffo season 3 needs slower pacing, good point
