Minor Characters That Could Have Been Way More Interesting

The Police Officer: His conversation with Lee was interesting and he was the first NPC in the game.

The Bandits: Other than the two attacks we didn't learn much about the bandits. It would have been interesting if they were actual antagonists instead of generic thugs with a leader as the main villain

Alt text

Buricko: Something about him sticks out for me opposed to the other generic NPCs. The face tats made me think there was a story to be told other than generic thief

Everyone in Crawford and it's leader: I think it would be pretty cool if instead of a zombie infested death trap we went up against an an army and the Oberson. Instead of escaping the walkers we would fight the soldiers. Characters like the doctor and Anna would be fun to learn about

  • Sarah: now she could be considered a major character because she was a member of the cabin group, but because she received such little development and had so much potential, I say she's a minor characters who could have been a major character

Clementine's parents: just because it would be cool to see the relationship Clem and between her parents before the apocalypse.

Walter and Matthew: I thought Walter was a great character, but it would have been interesting to see him play a biggeer role, he was one of the few people who never really let the apocalypse change him.

  • I'm talking about characters we don't know a lot about. Why you put Sarah I have no idea. Clementine's parents were supposed to be dead we got the basic idea of what happened to them there wouldn't be a story if they were still alive. Walter was a great character but I think him and Pete were designed to be short term characters whose dialogue sums up and foreshadows the future.

  • I'm saying that Sarah could have been more interesting had the writers tried putting in the effort to make her a major character. Also, and this goes with Carlos as well, we don't know much about their lives before the apocalypse either. For example, what ever happened to Sarah's mother. Is shee dead, and if she is, when and how did she die? Did she and Carlos separate before the apocalypse, we don't know, but it would have been interesting to learn. So while Saraah was around for a while, we don't know that much about her and it could have been interesting to know.

  • Sarah and Carlos weren't minor characters they didn't live up to their potential but the entire Cabin Group didn't either. So she's a character with wasted potential not a minor one

Hank (the one guard from Howe's that kills Alvin. It would have been cool if he also went along with Bonnie to help break us out, he seemed like he was one of the nice ones.)

  • Judging from Buricko's tattoos, i can infer that he was spending a life sentence for murder. Maybe he escaped prison during the apocalypse?

I also wanted to know more about Winston.

  • Winston was a guy who spent his entire adult life thinking that Jesus was kidding him. He lived a life of depression and sadness because of Jesus' constant intrusion in his life that only brought him pain and misery. But Jesus didn't care, he was having fun messing around with Winston's life.

So characters that only had really short appearances and hardly any lines then?

For S1, Travis and David Parker. For S2, the Russians. Especially Vitali.

  • No there are minor characters that can be interesting. Buricko looks like the baddest motherfucker in TWDG

I agree with this. There are many background/minors that caught my interest. .3.

  • The fuel tanker blocking the train.
I want to know the back story of that baby.

    Every mile it has travelled.
Every road it has burnt rubber on.
Every greasy trucker who has called it their own.
Every Hooker or Hitchhiker who has ridden the truck (or truck driver).
    Every time it was serviced.
I want to know how it ended up on its side.
I want to know how it spent its final moments before it skidded onto its side in a slowed time event where the truck had only moments to say its goodbyes.

    RIP Fuel Tanker Truck.

You were the most interesting minor character of all...

  • PSH MY GOD EDDIE

  • Nate.

    Eddie.

    Mark.

  • All the 400 Days characters.

  • The fact that we only get glimpses of the likely complex lives of numerous characters is actually rather realistic - the fans get to think up their own personal lives for the characters without the writers bothering to do so. Anyway...

Tavia: I would've liked to know more about her personality, and why she agreed to go along with Carver in the first place.

Troy: I'd like to know why he was so mean, and if anybody liked him.

Tisha (Female Carver goon with long hair): She's got the longest hair of any female character in the game, giving her a striking appearance.

    Natasha: Was she actually sick?

Michelle: She's implied to be a girl in a very similar situation to Clementine. What would've happened if Christa hadn't killed her?

Gill: The only boy we've seen in this Season.

The dead guy with glasses in Victor's group: At the end of episode 1, you see the corpses of the group Christa's attackers were a part of. One of them is a dude with glasses - not necessarily the hardened thug you'd expect Winston's friends to be like.
