Alternate ending for Season 1...
So I was browsing through DeviantArt and suddenly I found this interesting yet heart-breaking picture. It's ClemEverett's artwork.
The description says as below:
This image illustrates an alternate ending of S01. Lee was not bitten. But the confrontation between him and the stranger does not end well. and Clementine is then hit in her neck by the stranger's gun, doesn't stand to injuries and dies shortly afterwards. Lee brutally kills the stranger after that. covers his own body and Clem's with walker guts and leaves Savannah, going to a place away from the city to bid farewell to Clem and bury her. moments later Lee sees two silhouettes on a distant hill and S01 ends. Lee would be, again. the protagonist of S02.
So, let's create some final dialouge moment between Lee and Clementine shall we?

It would have been sad but maybe not as much as Lee's death. I'd just love to see an alternate ending where they both survive.
It would be interesting if Clem had died instead of Lee
I often wondered this. It'd be dark as hell. But also interesting, as hell.
FOr me, when a kid dies in a videogame, it really really hit me so hard. I don't know why. Lee's death is an emotional train-wreck for me, but if seeing Clementine died instead. That will be my total breakdown.

I love Lee and I love Clementine, but honestly if Clementine had of died instead of Lee I don't know what I would have done I went through depression after shooting Lee and I love Clem a lot more than Lee!
If Clementine would have died I don't know what I would have done, just thinking about it makes my stomach wrench in pain..
. I don't even know what things would be like after that..

I got depressed after Lee's death too, maybe because I felt so involved in this game... I have tears in my eyes every time I think about Lee's death, that's ridiculous.
So yeah, I wonder if Clem's death would have been even worse for my feels...
Interesting, but I think having them kill Lee off got them much more success than it would have been if they killed Clem off. Most people might see the game as pointless (at that stage in the game series) if Clem wasn't in it so they wouldn't have gotten S2.
Now though some people are begging for no Clem in S3. Weird how time changes stuff.

I'm with you all day on this comment, I saw this when I woke up and had puffy eyes and have felt terrible since..
After seeing this and watching a Tribute to Clementine and Lee I am crying so much right now.. I don't ever want something bad to happen to Clementine, nothing at all
and if something ever does, I don't know what I will do.. If this was to happen to Clementine then I don't know what would happen to me, I'm not trying to make a sob comment because I hate those but i.. uhhh.. I don't feel good, not at all
I think a reason why Season 2 didn't turn out the way we hoped was because one of the two of them got killed off. In Season 1, the entire point of the story was to protect Clementine. Since you play as Clementine in S2, they had to make Season 2 about something else. But what? There wasn't really anyone for Clem to protect. And no, I really didn't feel anything for AJ since he hadn't even been developed as a character. So really Season 2 was just random thing's happening to Clem and the group. No real moral compass this time around. Nobody to actually feel anything for.
If this ending had happened, there wouldn't be any reason for Season 2 whatsoever. Why? Because nobody could fill in Clementine's spot. You just couldn't do it. They kinda put themselves in a tough position with Season 2.

I know that feel. I used to watch Lee's death and tributes to Clem and Lee a lot of times after I finished S1. It made me cry every time and it still does... Dunno why I keep watching these. If only Lee could come back and find Clem and even Kenny...
A child death is too hard of a metaphor of "loss of innocence" for me to handle.

That was the same with me, there was a video on youtube made by Stepho01423 called The Walking Dead - The Lonely - "A Tribute To Lee and Clementine" and it is the best tribute video I have seen to Clementine and Lee, the song fits perfectly and their editing makes it even better, I used to watch this video before I went to school everyday and that was pretty much what made me feel depressed, and i stopped watching it and I didn't feel any better, I watched this video to remind me that Clementine and Lee are one of the two strongest people I know, fictional or not they are especially Clementine.
I would recommend watching that video, just search it on youtube and you;ll find it, i can't provide the link because of the forum rules but yeah, watch it and you'll get some real feels then.

That would have been terrible... terrible but would have been interesting. I think if Lee had been the one who had lived, it would have made Season 2 a bit more interesting, seeing the redemption of Lee, a man who couldn't get over his loss. The Kenny-Clem relationship would have made more sense since it would have been the Kenny-Lee relationship. Also, I would have killed to see a version of Lee with a bit of gray in his hair.
What if Seasons 1 and 2 had been combined into one 10-episode season this way, and getting to wellington was the point of it all. That way, you wouldn't feel pointless because only half the game had been played.
I dont think people would have liked that much because then episode 5 would be like a mid season finale thing, and allot of people would take that the wrong way, say if that happened and Lee died in episode 5 because of the bite or say this alternate ending happened
then episode 6 people wouldn't like so much I'm guessing, I don't know it is kind of hard to explain how I think about this but personally i liked the whole different season thing.

This same situation is happening in TWD TV show. Rick's group so far has no destination or compass, yet.
Season 2 technically did have a destination: Wellington.
It is first mentioned in Episode 1 by Christa, who was determined to get there, and it is also mentioned throughout the entire game by Kenny.
Man.. sooo many fanfic Ideas running through my head right now....
I think it's still worth going to Washington D.C. Eugene might have lied but they were still in contact with the U.S government prior to meeting the group, so it's the only real option they have.
