Predictions for S5B

Title pretty much explains itself. - What do you think is gonna happen in the second half of S5 of the show? I personally believe they will find Alexandria, they get attacked, and the season will end with Rick becoming the new leader. Too early to bring Negan in IMO.

Also, if you're on this thread to just post "the show sucks" or something, the exit is at the top left corner. These forums could do with a little less hate.

  • I saw an article recently saying that someone was casted to play the role of Aaron, a character from the comics that lives at Alexandria, so maybe it won't be too early for Negan. They are around the time when Alexandria is introduced in the comic storyline, and since the show does take some liberties when it comes to stuff from the comics, they may introduce him earlier than they did in the comics. And if they do introduce Negan, he will kill either Glenn or Daryl (Glenn because that's what happened in the comics or Daryl because what better way for people to hate you by killing off a fan favorite). My death predictions for the second half though are Tyreese, Noah, and Sasha. Lastly, Morgan will find Rick's group by the end of the season.

  • I see the season ending with them driving up to Alexandria, like that full double page shot in the comics, and stopping.

I can't wait to see Alexandria. I go to high school there.

  • I'll tell you what Carl's not going to do, stay in the fucking house.

  • I think they'll find Alexandia in the finale. Sort of like the way they teased the prison, in S2. A lot of stuff happened before they met Aaron. The group(comic) was at it's lowest point when they first met him. I think they'll have some things happen to each member of the group, especially Carl and Maggie. Considering Maggie(comic) tried to hang herself, and Carl(comic) killed Ben. I don't think Maggie(TV) will try to do that, because I think she's 100x stronger than her comic counterpart. Not sure what Carl's gonna do.

  • I'm convinced Maggie will try to hang herself. In the trailer for the next half of Season 5 shows her crying about Beth probably, and that probably is the reason she will try herself.

  • Hopefully they reach Alexandria. I really didnt like the whole hospital thing, and I hope they make up with the second half, other than that, I hope Negan gets involved soon

  • Nah, I don't think she will. She's like the strongest one of the group. I'd believe she would if it was Glenn, instead of Beth. But with Glenn there I think she'll be alright.

Also, she was really against it when Beth tried in S2.

  • Daryl wont die because when people say they will riot if Daryl Dies, they fucking mean it

  • This is The Walking Dead, I don't care if fans will riot, the idea is that no one is safe, anyone can die. One of the main reasons why Negan is so hated in the comics is because he killed a fan favorite in Glenn, imagine how hated he will be if he killed Daryl.

  • Negan is a monster, don't get me wrong, but not that much of a monster to kill Maggie I don't think.

True. Glenn hasnt been doing much lately. But also I was thinking maybe Maggie will be killed by Negan instead, the old switcharoo !

  • Doesn't Carl lose his hand in the comic?

  • No, Rick loses his hand in the comics at the hands (haha) of the Governor. Carl loses an eye in the comics.

A lot happens between finding Alexandria and Negan though. We know how much AMC loves filler episodes so skipping all this story to add in wouldnt make sense.

  • I don't know if they will make Negan kill Maggie the same way (not trying to be sexist, but I figure AMC would get some shit for them showing a woman getting her brains mashed in). I'm with Metallica, I hope and wish it's Daryl because it would make sense. Chances are its gonna be Tyreese or Abraham though.

  • I see (haha) what you did there.

Good thing they didn't make Rick lose his hand in the show. It would limit him a lot (Kirkman even confirms he regrets doing it). Hope Carl loses his eye soon though, that was a cool part

  • Yes. Carl will now be forever known as "Lil' Governor".

  • True, but like I said, AMC does change some things that happen in the comics and they handled the Terminus group quite quickly in the show, much quicker than I think anyone expected. If the second half moves like the first three episodes of the season, Negan can be introduced sometime between the end of this season or at the beginning of next season. Then again, they could overload the second half with filler like you said, in which case we could expect him to be introduced by the end of Season 6.

Nah, I actually think Tyreese is gonna bite the bullet, this season. I think they're developing Sasha's character more and more, who would harden even more, if he died. S4 she opened up herself to Maggie, and most importantly Bob. Which hacked away at her straight edged, survival over emotion, type of attitude. S5, she loses Bob which further adds on to her, survival over emotion, type of attitude. I think losing Tyreese would lock that way of thinking in. Which would turn her into a Rick type character.

EDIT: Posted "somebody gon' die", because I'm referencing something I can't even remember. Sounded ok, in my head. Sorry for the confusion. That shib is, vague.

    Walkers will be killed.

  • they will most likely find aaron pretty early on and then the rest will be filler so they save the actual stuff for season 6

  • Lol it's OK. And yeah, Tyreese dying is extremely likely. I would be surprised if they didn't kill him off soon, he's becoming a bland character.

  • I think we end the season with a picture of Alexandria and it's done. This one:

One of my favorite panels, leads lots of speculation for non-comic readers, and with this one pace, we can get to 'We Find Ourselves' by Season 6 finale.

Negan certainly won't be introduced for at least 2 seasons, season 6 finale is pushing it, but plausible.

  • The show is on for ratings....and people would boycott the show if the off'd Daryl. There are T-shirts that say What Would Daryl Dixon Do? People f*ckin love Daryl and ratings would plummit if they killed him, at least right now anyway. He's got a good set of plot/ratings armor
