I Know Everyone Wants...
.. Well not everyone but I know that a lot of people want a new Male character because 'it'll work better than Clementines' story.'
You could look it at in multiple ways, one way is looking at the new male character as they were Lee which a lot of people will do but a lot of people will look at the new character and be like, "well shit, he doesn't remind me of Lee, and i personally love lee so i don't want anything to do with you."
The point I'm trying to get across here is, a lot of people want a new male character. But what if that male character isn't what you expected? What if they don't follow in Lees' steps and go a mad man or something? Some people think that a new male character is what we need but honestly I don't think we do, if he's a flop, there goes The Walking Dead Game series, because no one wants to see a bad character, especially them being a protagonist. I'm putting emphasis on the 'male' bit aswell because no one has said they want a different new female character.
Anyways in the end everyone has their opinions but a new male character is not what we need at all honestly..

I dont want a male character I just don't want to play as a child in this game. Everyone treats clementine like shes in her mid 30's. the stuff she does is beyond her age believably not to mention her character is essentially stalled and dead as being the playable character in a choice game she cannot develop
Yeah, I know some of the things she has done is pretty unbelievable especially for an 11 year old like turning off a turbine, and kicking down a door etc etc. but she only did those things because she was main character.. Those things wouldn't have come to her attention for her to do if Lee was main character, it would have come to Lee you know.
How about getting a better team of writers that actually know what they're doing? The child protagonist thing worked PERFECTLY in episode 1 but then they decided to screw everything up afterwards.
Did you forget Lee's growth as a character in Season 1 even though that game had even more choices than the linear Season 2?
What growth? I made the decisions I agreed with through the whole game, lee didnt do anything
Episodes 1, 4 and 5 all had elements of what a child could be exposed to I'll admit but still why make their job harder while destroying a perfectly good character in the process by making her an emotionless vessel (which she was in ep 1 also). She has brief moments like Lee did but still playable character in a choice game means no development

i think the protagonist in twd s3 should be female like we should get to play as lilly or molly i think it would be great to no wat happned to them
I don't care about the protagonist as long as there are a lot of different choices throughout the game. At first I found that playing Clem was kinda weird but the choices were good so it wasn't so bad.

I really don't want to play as a child again,those options are too obvious..bonnie want to share a smoke with a little girl??and also why everyone always ask clementine to do something that,for me a little kid won't able to handle,except for place that is only fit for children
but maybe they could add an episode like 400Days that serves as the npc backstory before meeting clementine and lee??
Gender doesn't matter to me. I just want a new character who isn't a child.

We need characters that are interesting, deep, multi dimensional, from many different angles. Season 2 there wasn't 1. Clementine was a complete disaster, i'm sorry but it is true. Clementine should never be protag ever again.
Lame to new male character, go play the hundreds of different games that you play as a dude in a zombie game, make your own story with that. Clementine is Telltale's TWD.
I lost interest in this game because of Season 2. It was that bad. I want the TWAU more, and that game hasn't even been announced
S2 was such a let down to me, so many plot holes, so many missed opportunities for greatness. It was a shell of a game, honestly it felt like a DLC with Kenny added. I mean if your a huge Kenny fan, maybe you would like it. I never liked/disliked him to be honest, he was just a jerk i had to deal with in S1. I don't want to derail the thread but so lets just leave it at that.
I loved it. Clementine made the season for me. But yeah we can't all love the same things, I can only say I wish you had the experience I had.

I want a redemption story.
I'd prefer to be as someone playing older then Ben, but younger then Luke. That way, if there's a group, you can still be given jobs, but since you are young that they aren't fully trusting of your abilities, unlike with Clementine.
With being young, you can be like Nick, hotheaded and reckless, Ben, nervous and cautious (hehehe not really), or like Luke, kind and caring.
I just really don't want to play as a kid again. The only time it felt right was All That Remains.
Well, since the only guy I really wanted play as drowned [and the other is sitting in a jewelry store, god rest his virtual soul T.T], I wouldn't mind playing as a grown up female character. But I hope Clementine would still be playable as well.
Well maybe its a good thing, i remember what it was like to have those video game withdrawals when i was younger. I remember the Metal gear ones were pretty bad. Damn you Kojima!
Yeah i like your idea!playing as young guy might be fun,maybe a little bit older than Ben,playing as people backstory in DLC might be nice though,such as what Nick do before meeting Clem,or what is Lee's group doing before meeting lee,clem...or maybe as Molly or...Carver?
Carver's story might be interesting,or(i write too many ors..) as the 400 days group again,maybe they ran away from Howe's Hardware because paying for the 400Days DLC,and they just say things like an unimportant figure and only appear once
