  • Alvin was manure of a character, sadly...he had great potential. His (sadly determinant) sacrifice for Clem is a great shining moment.

  • True. In the original episode 5 of season 2 Jane was suppose to rescue Luke on the ice and Jane was suppose to die from drowing. Then the decision would be saving Kenny or Luke from the blizzard. Also Originally Mike was suppose to be on of the guy's that robbed Christa. Thats why Kenny and Clem seem a bit harsh to him in ep 4 and 5 because Clem was suppose to Tell Kenny that that was one of the guy's that robbed Christa. That is why Kenny has Mike pinned against a wall in episode 3. And the reason Mike is mising a little of his ear is because Christa grabbed Mike's gun and shot Mike in the ear.

  • Wow...was that confirmed somewhere? I heard people had theories about Mike being one of the bandits. However, I never heard of it being an actual confirmation. That would've been a lot different, but really cool. I suppose TellTale may have changed it because of everybody confirming KennyVs.Luke and all that...

Jane was going to go back for Luke and die a hero, instead of in some forced poorly provoked fight? Dammit, why is every idea I hear on here [whether scrapped stuff or fan suggestions] better than what the game did towards the end of this season? It makes me so mad. These are good ideas and they gave all these up for what? I seriously I cannot wrap my head around this. Imagine Jane took off, then came back, and died doing something she preached against in trying to look out for someone else and not just herself in that situation. She would've died getting actual character development, instead of on something as silly as hiding a baby in a blizzard, nope THIS, would actually of made sense, instead of filing her nails mutely in the background until Clem falls in.

Even the Mike thing that I heard about a while back would've been great and given him purpose within the story and group. Do they make up for this cut by giving Mike an alternate backstory...? NO! They just cut the one thing that might been actually interesting about Mike, affected how you thought about him and if to give him a chance after what happened to Christa, plus, it would've have had everything make sense with why characters were distrustful of the guy and why he was so eager to be accepted. They replace this...with nothing. That is lazy.

And the blizzard who to save decision, what do we end up with in the game? Just a empty space where Clem shuffles around for a bit and randomly picks off some walkers that you don't even have a shoot.

What happened people, what happened!? x_x

The Mike thing is here in some links. This guy interviewed his voice actor and it out:

The Jane one hasn't been proven as far as I know.

I've only heard it mentioned, but I never saw any form of proof for it.

The whole Mike situation, though, this would've been fantastic to keep in game. A real shame they ultimately ended up cutting it, although I can see a reason for doing that, as it's somewhat of a repeat/retread of Bonnie's story this season.

But Christ, it makes so much about Mike make more sense, especially why the choice to shoot him existed.

  • I think this was one of the biggest problems with season 2...it got too predictable. I came into season 2 knowing that every character was going to eventually get killed off, and it didn't help that Clem's friends kept reminding you of that through dialogue. Eventually you get desensitized to this stuff if you know it's going to happen. I think that's a big reason why so many people weren't as traumatized over Luke's death (or any death in season 2) as TellTale wanted them to be. The game needs to keep some characters around because it takes away any predictability and it makes the deaths that much more shocking and saddening. I mean, that's what made Lee's death so tough to take, right? We got to know him for so long and we thought he was invincible. I think TellTale just got in the habit of killing characters just for the sake of it without giving us a chance to get to know them. Hopefully that's something they get right in season 3.
