Are you disappointed that Clementine (possible spoiler)
Are you disappointed that Clementine won't ever go into the comic book? They asked this question to Kirkman in the latest comic con and he said that it wouldn't feel right.
I am not dissapointed because with the direction the comic has gone it wouldn't really make any sense anyways for Clementine to make an appearance and we already have young kids in the comic book anyhow.
If Clementine were to ever enter into the comic book it would have had to of been after season 2 before the comic book went on that time jump.

no, clem doesn't need to be in the comics....it's virtual reality for her
I'm relieved she won't be seeing as how Kirkman only keeps the main characters alive I think he would kill her off in shoddy fashion. I wouldn't trust him with Clementine and would rather leave it to Telltale to continue her time line
I'm somehow glad because it would mean that she won't be ever seen in the game. Though, maybe there will be something like spin-off comic about her adventures between season 1 and 2? Or maybe even season 2 and 3? Just guessing, though I won't be disappointed if she'll be only in game.
It would be cool. Instead of a long waiting Dlc of the 16 months, they make a special comic series called the Clementine Special, in which, they explain what happened in the 16 month time skip. And this comic will not feature any of the Rick group characters.
But it would be kickass that they killed off Carl in the TV series and replace her with Clementine.
I personally think that the Walkie talkie that Glen had in season 1, the one that he used to save rick, was the same walkie talkie that he took from clementine from episode one of telltale. Could it be?????
Oh, I thoght she was from the comics a little. Hm. Interesting Or if they made her as a tiny appearance in the show. I always love the little intertwining things, though only if it is placed well, so They'd have to find the perfect spot for Clem to pass through, and it would probably have to be small. But it really depends on where everything is in the game vs. the show or comic.
Oh my god, I hope ot was that same walkie talkie. I would die of happiness to know
haha screw Carl xD hm, but if they did that, Clem might contradict actions of what you made her to be. If she makes an appearance in the show like that then she would either be tough Clem or caring Clem from season 2, and we wouldn't be able to choose her actions, so the show would have Clem differ to who chose one or the other.
Sorry, I feel like I'm not explaining this well, I'm a bit sleepy haha.
Personally, I think it'd be better to have references to other characters from the video-game series. What if Bonnie, Mike and Arvo appear in the comics? Or if the fates of Carver's other followers i.e. 400 Days characters are explored?
I think Clem should stay here with Telltale, they've done a great job on her and I need to be able to hear her voice! (Gj Melissa H). But I did love the Hershel Greene crossover into the game, made it that bit more exciting for me as a comic reader. Other small crossovers which were subtle I would certainly enjoy, but Clemmy should stay here
The talkie could be, but the game is canon to the comics. Does Glenn do the same thing in the comics? If so, that's probably what they were alluding to
Disappointed? More like gleeful.
You guys referring to the show you do realize that the games take place in the comic universe not the shows universe. Also Kirkman has also said that there will never be a Walking Dead spinoff comic.
Rick actually never goes into the tank in the comics. Glenn and Herschel both look like their comic versions though so that is proof enough that the show doesn't take place in the tv show universe.
What i would love though is if Glenn mentioned at some point in the TV series (now that he's dead in the comics), that he met a guy called Lee with a little girl called Clementine before he met Rick and the others, so this way no Telltale characters need to appear in the comics/tv series but a nice mention would be great don't you think? It would certainly fit in with the story somewhat as Glenn took off to Atlanta after Macon.
that's not going to happen b/c the game isn't canon to the show, it's canon to the comics. We could become aware of Glenn's death somehow in the comics, but they wont link it to the show
Nope
just because the Tv show isnt cannon to the comic doesnt mean Clem can't appear. If anything, the Tv show has absolute when, where, why, and how Clem could appear.
Actually, in walkerstalker con in San Francisco, I asked Melissa and Gavin that question. They told me that they never even thought about that. They said it could be.
They could but they won't. If the comic doesn't deem it necessary to bring Clem into it's story you know the show won't. The show already has enough they need to fit in to worry about some video game character being recognized.
And the Glenn from the comic and the Glenn from the tv show took slightly different paths. The Glenn from the comic never made it into Atlanta where the show makes it sound like Glenn was actually in Atlanta when the whole thing went down (he mentions that him and T-Dog were out trying to save people at his church).
In fact I am not even sure if the show even states that Glenn was ever even in Macon or from Macon.
Ahh just looked it up. The Glenn from the tv show never even lived in Macon. He lived in Atlanta. The only thing from the pre apocalypse background that the show borrowed from the comic was that they both delivered pizzas.
cool xD
~I'll take that as a yes~
Glenn was never even in Macon in the tv show universe. In the tv show he was originally from Michigan and then moved to Atlanta as an adult. I think some of you might be failing to realize that the games do not take place in the tv show universe.
Sorry >.> I don't follow the show enough to rememher what I've seen. I just wish they would bring in a few brief, realistic, and well-placed cross-overs.
yea no she shouldn't ever be in it i am glad kirkman has said he wants to keep the game and comic characters separate excluding glenn and hershel
hmm, fair enough, I don't want them to mess up details with Clem in a crossover, she's to precious
And I forgot Hershel was a crossover haha
okay all of these three separates are confusing -__- especially with this diverging.
As long as Glenn lives its okay though. He's my favorite Asian, and I don't follow the show much but I'd be pissed to hear his death there.
But the TV show can just make up any origin they want because they aren't cannoned to anything. The TV universe has the ability to make anything happen. Look at Dixon, T Dog, and Merle. And recently they put Tara, a character from the Jay Bonasigna Walking Dead Novel series, a series that no one really reads, into the show. Why can't they integrate a Clementine into the show?
The tv show has enough that they need to integrate already from the comics. Also what would be the purpose of bringing in an eleven or twelve year old character into the show anyways? The comics and tv show already have their child characters already. No real reason to bring in Clementine when Clementine wouldn't serve much purpose other than to apease a few die hard fans of the video game.
Why bring in Lily and Tara from the Road To Woodbury novel into the show, if nobody never even heard of the Novel series? I think bring a game of the year character, someone that allot of people heard of, is way more appealing than some Book character, that no body never heard of. Don't you think?
Also, Clem purpose would to give more backstory to Glen when he dies(tv series) and to Hershel. They can use her as a median of a flashback backstory moratorium, to keep the memory of these characters alive. Only just making her a two episode special.
I imagine it her siting in the woods with Kenny, near a camp fire, in the beginning of the episode, talking about the early days of the apocalypse. Then, her flashback goes back to Macon where she meets Glen, ending this episode where Glen is looking at the walkie talkie that Clem gave him.
Next episode, Clem talks about the first time that Kenny and her met. The flash back goes back to when Lee and her group visits Hershel's farm. The second half of this episode will just focus on more on how Hershel keeps his humanity after Shawn dies. Ending the episode when Hershel hears the gunshot that hits Carl.
This was more of the direction that I had in mind for Clem as a character. Also, I'm just curious on who they would they choose to play Clem.( probably the Ru from the Hunger Games). And yes, I do want her in the show because i'm a fan of the game.
But aren't you curios the type of interaction that she would have with the character, especially, Dixion? She is a little badass afterall.
P.S. I don't really want her to meet with Rick's group because of their "trend" treatment of black group members; they always die.(T-Dog, Tyreese,Bob, Prison Guy,and Morgan soon)
I am not. I don't even care as long as she is in the game
