What should TTG bring to the table for S3?

  • Agreed.

Sean is not coming back, it would be great if he does (he is my favorite writer for TWD), but he's moved on and started Camp Santo with Rodk

  • Longer episodes is what I´d appreciate the most.

    And Clementine. Always Clementine.

  • Its not like its an impossibility. Anything can happen and the odds of him and Rodkin succeeding with this very small completely unknown indy studio is unbelievable opposed to Telltale growing more and more. IMO I think Telltale could have hired him instead of wasting money on guest stars in S2

  • I'm not saying it's impossible either, anything can happen, but it is highly unlikely to happen. And even if Campo Santo does fail (which I don't think it will, Firewatch looks really good from what I've seen and people will be attracted to it because it's written by the guys who did Season 1), whose to say they will want to come back to Telltale.

Why is the turbine thing such a problem with people? I suppose it's unlikely she'd do that, but people act as if its, 'how DARE you ask an 11 yr. old to turn a key!' Clem volunteered to do it anyways b/c Carlos asks if anyone knew how. I guess she could've watched the perimeter for zombies. That's a much safer and realistic task for Clem to do

Yes some of the things were unlikely for her to do, but she is the PC and it's not as unrealistic as freaking corpses walking around eating people. Nothing she did was too out of line for a kid her age to do

  • Graphics look a little Team Fortress to me and that was back in August nothing has been said about it since. Even if it is good I don't think it would live up to any of the fame that Telltale Game has had. It would be more lucrative for him to go back and he knows Breckon they could team up rather well.

  • A Vanaman and Breckon duo would be incredible no doubt, those two are (in my opinion) the best writers for TWD. But I still think Firewatch has a lot of potential and I believe it will succeed. And while the graphics aren't that good, remember, early Telltale games had bad graphics as well when they started out and look at them now. Campo Santo, while it is going up against Telltale, still has a lot of room to grow and succeed.

Well, that kind of horror usually has to entail somebody dying, so...you can't have both.

New locations Jane and 400 days characters mentioned circuses and amusement parks. Those could be new locations to explore.

New, unique characters Such as a homosexual, a former celebrity, or someone who has a crush on our protagonist.

More animals There's only been a cow, a dog, a moth, a racoon family, and a bunch of crows. Where's some deer, snakes, wolves, bears, cats, foxes, and hamsters?

More free roaming areas Interacting with characters brings more character development and immersion. Season 2 lacked this.

More meaningful choices Choices that determine the attitudes and fates of characters. And also choices that really alter the story like choosing to join a group or be alone.

Side events While in the main story, there could be other things to do too. Like hunting, repairing things, rescuing people, or scavenging for supplies.

More zombie attacks Nothing more to say than that.

As an adult, in a life/death situation, i would step up and take charge of the situation, not delegate it to the 11 PC. It broke immersion, like when Clementine kicks down a door.

  • I know Dennis Lenart and Sean Ainsworth (2 directors and cinematic artists at Telltale) said that Season 3 will involve a new angle during an IGN Playing Dead interview, that may be what you're thinking about. A new angle is very vague and could mean a bunch of things and can be interpreted differently. It could be a whole new protagonist, it could mean an older Clementine, it could simply be Clementine now being forced to defend for herself. But an interview with Kevin Bruner done by Gamespot, where he talks about how our endings will have a role in Season 3, and Melissa Hutchison's comments at Walker Stalker Con seems to indicate that Clementine will be back, we just don't know if she will be the PC or not.

  • I strongly agree with the hubs we need more of those for better interaction between characters and hugs are the best, [Hug Kenny] and [Hug Luke] those were the choices that made the game feel more than a game. I to think it would be good to have a bit more of characters liking you or resenting you depending on whether you were nice to them or depending on who you sided with like in S1 and I would also like a few more characters to survive.

I didn't feel like, 'oh no they didn't'....people talk about how unrealistic it was for her to do that, but the whole concept of the living dead is unrealistic...I dunno...I just don't get why that gets everyone's panties in a bunch

He wasn't hiding it, they just didn't go around telling everyone. Walter openly tells Clementine that Matthew is his partner if you have Clem ask Walter about him

I think that's why Kenny assumes Luke and Nick are together; he's only been around Sarita, Walter and Matthew for a while

I told you because it breaks immersion to rely on a child. Its not realistic from a adult perspective.

the whole concept of the living dead is unrealistic...I dunno..

but you still have to follow the basis of reality in a television show or else it will pointless. May as well give Clementine a no clip AK 47, and have her fire it like rambo.

  • And I'm saying I don't think it does break immersion. It didn't for me. Why not give her an AK or a mini oozie (not sure on the spelling)? I don't think anything clementine did was too out of line for someone her age to do

    • Side storys from other NPCs.
    • Better Character development.
    • Better choice system. (i.e decisions that have the community result that are 50-50 or 60-40 not 80-20 or 95-5)
    • Clem is the protagonist again. I don't care what people say, she was awesome and will develop this season.
    • Antagonist that aren't evil for the hell of it.
    • AJ doesn't die just to make Clem angst.
    • Kenny and Jane survives for the whole season.
    • Factions mode like the Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchises.
    • Decisions that balances Clementine's own sanity. (Kinda like a younger urban version of Far Cry 3's Jason Brody.)
