Will we see Clementine get a pet dog in season 3?
The subject of pets, was already broached in Season 1.
If you don't help Kenny deal with Larry in the Meat-locker, he mentions that he had a dog before the apocalypse, and that he couldn't bear to put it down when the time came.
And Clementine gets attacked by a dog this season, who by indications, was a family pet at one time.
So I just thought about it, and being a dog lover, I personally think it'd be cool for her to get a dog, or whoever the pc character is for season 3, to have a dog.
I think it could add an interesting element to the game.
For example, the player could use to help find food, taking down walkers, or anyone else who is a threat.
And it would add a bit of warmth to the game, if the player is able to interact with it in a playful manner, like they would do with a family pet in real-life.
And here's a little trivia, on the show, Norman Reedus expressed interest in his character, Daryl, getting a dog for Season 4.
The producers decided against it, and instead gave Reedus' character a new crossbow instead.
And on that note, I think it'd be cool if Daryl were to get a dog either this Season, or next Season.
Particularly if it's a hunting dog, like a Golden retriever, Black lab, or a Bloodhound.

Wasn't planned in early stages of the game for Clem to get a pet tiger from a zoo?
I wonder if Telltale will tease us and show a domestic dog in one of the ending areas she's in and show her afraid of it or try and conquer the memories of being attacked by one.
I'd hate the idea of an animal companion to be honest
Im glad he doesnt write the show....seriously a random dog just joins the group? How would a tame dog be alive at this point and what could it ever do/ It cant bite the walkers or anything because even if walkers didnt devour it the meat would likely kill it. Animals should be left out
Sam could have fucking worked as a companion but nope another character with wasted potential.
B-b-b-but there was a dog in (2004)Dawn of The Dead and he was pretty cool, right?
I love dogs, but when we first see Sam, I immediately told myself, 'this isn't going to end well'
Having a per would relieve stress and such, but until they can find a more permanent settlement having a pet that makes noise is no-go...
Clem could carry a fish bowl with her like Timmy Turner...fish aren't walker-bait
From what I've seen, the indications seem to be that dogs don't get infected by walkers.
And in reality, dogs can eat meat that is weeks old, and not get sick.
And in a pack, dogs can make a pretty formidable force, capable of surviving on their own.
Sam?
I don't remember him?
Nah. I feel like Sam was the closest we'll get to an animal companion.
Sam's the dog's name. Only people who looked at the collar figured that out.
lol no most would either be dead or too dangerous to be around
and i don't think she would want one after what happened with sam
I think Clementibe might be a bit afraid of the dog though. Considering one attacked her and nearly killed her.
They should of let Norman get his dog, you know how emotional it would of been when that dog died. Dogs are naturally friendly animals, have you never been around dogs before? I got three.
Think about this, it would give you alerted protection, whenever someone is outside my house, my dogs know. I personally do not care either way if Clementine gets a dog, because it will probably end up dead with her, however i think Norman was right to get a dog.
I've got two myself.
They're getting old, but they're still two great companions.
Yeah ! Clem is great with dogs...
oh...
Determinant. I've had a dog attack me before yet I would still save a dog's life over most human's life I know.
After what happened all I want for her is distance from dogs.
And I own seven dogs.
I know, it depends on the person though. But if she is the protagonist than it will literally depend on the person. But, if it was me I'd keep distance away from any dogs as if you wait to long in the QTE the dog kills you. But I can't speak for everyone as this is only my opinion.
Same here. One of them lived with relatives of mine until the house burnt down in 2004. My dad's grandmother was pretty torn up over the fire, having help build that house, so our relatives gave the dog to us. She's only got a few years now
My second dog is a Jack Russel, and he's a handful. Jumping all over the place when somebody's around and even getting into the neighbor's yard three times through the fence lol
I myself have a Black Lab, and a Golden Retriever.
Maybe...
A pet dog would have pros and cons. Especially in the WD world.
