Rest in peace Tyresse, you were by far my favorite character and I was really hoping you'd make it. Rest in peace.

Tyreese was a good man, he will be missed.
:C
Him and his god-like hammer will be missed. R.I.P
Rip
I cried when they had his beanie on the cross.
Want to know the definition of irony? This is the same guy that solo'd a herd and walked away without a scratch. But goes on to die at the hands of one walker. A kid walker at that. Man.
I thought Tyrese's demise sucked. Besides the way he was bitten, which came off as one of those "zombie inexplicably becomes faster than a human for the sake of shock-killing a major character" cliches, the subsequent hallucinations and dream sequences were flat-out annoying. "Come over to the other side, Tyrese! We have cookies!"*
All the same, I appreciated being reminded why I stopped watching this show after Frank Darabont was sacked.
That was the moment of sadness right there..
RIP Tyrese, Surprised they killed off another character after Beth so soon......
I really liked Tyreese, but he was too small of a character in the show to warrant that entire death scene. I wish he hadn't died at all and later on became a really great character. But, oh well.
Episode was kind of weird anyways.
He totally bit it the way Morgan did in the comic. That means we'll probably be getting more out of him
I cannot comprehend how sad I am to lose that beautiful man... . Rest is Peperoni Ty, You will be dead in life, But you WON'T be dead in our hearts.
I thought It was amazing, More of a death then beth had, He actually saw the "Five Figures" which are the five people you see before you die, It was so well writen, and it was his time, And come on everyone, You know you swooned when you saw him use his arm as a shield. That was pretty fuckin badass.
Damnit, Glenn.... get rid of that bat quick!
I wish they'd saved this for later on, I still thought it was a great episode, but I just felt that it was too soon after Beth's death to do this. Chad Coleman gave one hell of a performance though.
RIP Tyreese
Why are you watching it then?
Fuck, first Beth, now Tyreese. I was in tears. He was one of the characters I liked the most. R.I.P. big man.
That't two of my favorite characters gone because of that Noah cunt, damn I hate him a lot.
I will miss Tyreese as I will miss every other main character in the show, but Tyreese will always have that little piece inside of me that is there no matter what. He was like a second Lee to me, someone who looked after there friends/companions someone who was strong, and of course he was urban just like Lee was.
R.I.P Tyreese you will be missed.
R.I.P Tyreese. You will be missed. Fuck, first Beth, now him. No one is safe.
This show is always killing off the African American characters.
I just saw the episode a few hours ago and I was certain that Tyreese was screwed before Noah even told the others. The hallucinations plus the fact that he was drenched in sweat proved it immediately. He had no chance. Although I do think it was blood loss and not the disease itself that killed him. Lee and Jim lasted much longer than Tyreese.
Oh shit, I wasn't even thinking of that until now, I didn't pick that up when I first saw it. Seriously Glenn, drop the fucking bat.
First Everybody Hates Chris, now it's Everybody Hates Noah.
Fuck they must have really hated Chad Coleman. Not only did they ruin his character by turning him from someone who can 1-man an entire herd with his hammer into a pussy who can't even kill 1 walker but also made him die by a kid walker in one of the most filler episodes of the show. Fuck that death scene was 10/10 though and probably the best in the show so far, incredibly cinematography and music, it's kind of what you would expect as the death of a big main character like Rick or Daryl.
Well, now that I know they killed Tyrese off b/c he's going to work on a new show, I'm not that upset that they off'd him. They gave him a great send off and I'm happy Ty is with Beth, Bob, Mika and Lizzie now
Lennie James is a expensive actor. He's working as the main of another show so I don't know if they'll be able to make him a TWD regular. But who knows, maybe the show is going to get a little bit cheaper now since they'll stay at Alexandria for a couple of years(The set used for Alexandria has been leased all the way up to 2019)
yeah, he died from blood loss, but if not that, he woulda succumbed to infection---too much time passed before the amputation...
it bothered me so much how Ty didn't GO with Noah to others...he arm was bitten, not his leg(s).....that woulda bought him time and he wouldn't have lost so much blood before getting back to the car, but they needed his character to die so he of course he didn't do what you'd expect.
Once you realize that Ty didn't make it I thought to myself, "well at least they cut off his arm"
I was watching THE BIG BANG THEORY, and felt I might as well view another program on a different channel while the commercials were going on instead of having to wait through them.
No, "badass" would be telling the creepy pod person-like hallucinations to fuck off. As someone else pointed out, it's ironic the Governor was the only ghost trying to make Tyrese angry enough to get back on his feet!
I think that's because those ghost represent different emotions and parts to Tyrese's psyche.
Bob, Beth, Mika and Lizzie represented the side of him that wanted to let go and Martin and the Governor represented his insecure and regretful side. He regretted not killing Martin b/c Gareth & friends wouldn't have found Rick's group...he saw the Governor b/c he felt insecure about his will to live in the world the way it is now.
The ghosts were just physical manifestations of his psyche.
Don't forget Martin and The Governor.
yeah, they weren't on the bus with him so I think that insecurity, regret and fear he felt subsided
I felt real sorry for the guy, it was a sad death for him. I loved how he tried to stand up to The Governor despite how scared he was(plus I like how they symbolized him, Governor turning into a walker, seeing how Governor killed many like the walkers killed many). Tyreese was a great guy. You will be missed.
I am however pissed that he died like an episode apart from Beth, and that both were the few morally good people alive. It's like if you're good you die. Major bullshit. Can we at least have a moral compass character that survives for fucks sake?!
It's the "Five Figures" theory, Those were the five people that died in your life that you see before you die, trying to make sure you either accept it, or drive you insane. Luckily, the 6th person in the theory, the one to save you from that darkness (Beth) showed up and made him okay.
The Governor said it best, "You kill or you die, or you die and you kill."
well, that's your opinion, if YOU were bitten, would you use your infected limb to fight off a walker and get bitten again to save yourself from instant death? And the figures were, as I said before, the Five figures theory. Governor Being the "Agitator", the one telling him it's not okay to die, and telling him he's gonna leave the earth useless. Bob being the "Light", telling him it's always how it was supposed to happen. Lizzie was the "Voice", the one whose always been the voice in your head, thinking you could have saved them. Mika was the "Happiness", the one who the victim always remembers as an amazing human who they'll always cherish. Gareths friend was "Regret", where he tells you that it's your fault and it's all over. and Beth was the sixth voice that shows up when you're close to dying, She is "Peace" when you find inner peace in death and realize it's all gonna be okay, and you'll see your lost ones again.
I was starting to hate him because he was a weakling. But when he died I felt sad. RIP.
Haven´t watched the episode but I got spoiled anyway so I just read everything. RIP, I liked you Tyreese.
On a side note, some people actually still think Beth is still alive. Um...
Started out not liking the episode, but by the end it definitely won me over. Tyresse was one hell of a guy and he will be missed.
It's like poor old Uncle Pete in ALL THAT REMAINS all over again. At least Luke managed to hold out until episode 5.
If I was angrier than a rabid bear and had enough adrenaline pumping through my veins (which I probably would in that situation), yes.
I'd say that's not so much the voice of "light" as the voice of fatalism. I know TWD is meant to be a fatalistic show, but that's just another reason why I don't make a habit out of watching it. I have enough negative B.S. going on in my life without having a television series confirm for me how much life sucks.
