What are some small things that you've noticed, that give the show away?
On thing I noticed, is some of the casts appearances.
For example, if you look at Abraham, he still has his Mustache, and short haircut.
Being on the road, you'd think he look more scruffy.
Tyreese, still has a short beard, and hair.
Considering how long they've been on the road, you'd think his beard would be thicker, and his hair fuller looking.
And even thought Rick's beard has gotten thicker, it is still very well defined.
You'd think that it would be higher on his cheeks, and down on his neck as well.
His hair looks appropriate, but his beard, being so defined as it is, is a dead giveaway.
These are just some of the smaller details I've noticed, that takes some of the realism out of the show.

All of them should be missing half their teeth, there clothes should be torn up and need changing more than they do etc. There are limits with any show, realism is only part of it
No matter what the genre is and what type of show they are creating sex appeal will always outweigh reality on tv. Even in the comics it is that way to a point. The first time they introduced Magna she was wearing a shirt that looked very unapocalyptic yet she had supposedly been out on the road for seven months.
You only had to look at Rosita for the first time in which i laughed and shook my head. The way she dressed was just to get all of us men horny. It's stupid coz no one would ever look like that in a ZA and yes, all the men would have long, long beards. Why doesn't Glenn have one? Their teeth are all still sparkling white when in reality they wouldn't be and yes, their clothes would be more ragged.
Glenn doesn't even seem to be growing any hair at fucking all.
And Rosita's legs? Nah. Bushes and forests, not smooth and silky.
The women still shave.
Also, in the game, characters don't change their clothes. And there's no sign that the protagonists of Season 2 ever washed the zombie guts off themselves - the decay seems to magically melt away, perhaps picked off by invisible flies and gnats. And everybody has great teeth and their clothes are in good shape.
Technically, they still have the stains of the zombie guts on their clothes for the rest of the season. Rebecca's shirt also appears to be darker in color, as if she recently washed it.
It's not super faint, but it's still visible enough to imply that they made some attempt to wash out what they could.
I think out of all of the things here, what bothers me most is...
The grass is always mowed.
I don't think Glenn as the ability to grow a full beard.
Some men don't have that ability.
Whether or not a man can grow a full beard, is largely based on his genetics.
For example, and not to sound rasict, most American Indian men cannot grow facial hair at all.
And most Asian men do not have the ability to grow full beards.
Again, it's largely based on a person's genetics.
Rosita actually has a legit reason for why she dresses like that. Its revealed in the comics
Apocalypses are the best for growing beards
Which issue? I've never heard of that.
I think Black-Op is just referring to the fact that Rosita wears practically the same exact outfit in the show as she did in the comics. Infact probably all three of that group are taken almost exactly from the comic with virtually nothing changing about them. I'm not sure you could say the same for any other character in the show. Lori is the only other one that comes to mind that was transitioned virtually intact.
Glenn is more similar than most of them are. Accept for the Glenn from the tv show is a little more of a fighter than the Glenn from the comic was.
I don't remember the exact issue, but its after Abraham dies. She and Eugene are reminiscing about him, and she reveals that before she got with him, she would sleep around with the guys in her old groups and trick them into falling in love/like with her, and thus they'd want to protect her, which they did. That's how she survived until she met Abraham, essentially screwing her way through the apocalypse until she fell in love with Abe. The outfits were a form of peacocking.
Though why she still wears those outfits even after Abraham, I don't know.
I hate the lack of walkers. The show needs to start making the herds up close and personal not long distance shots.
I remember that convo but I don't necessarily think that explains her attire. That's essentially the same exact thing half the girls in Rick's group were doing as well and they weren't wearing a belly button shirt and big huge earrings during a zombie apocalypse.
Michonne, Carol, Andrea, Holly, whatever that lady's name was who hitched up with Rick after her husband died. They all were throwing themselves at men who could protect them. Yet none of them dressed like Rosita.
A herd scene like at the end of In Harm's Way would be awesome.
Jessie. That was her name.
Like I said, the clothes are probably a form of saying "come hither". They definitely give her more sex appeal than the average survivor. Makes it easier to grab a guys attention. I still don't know why she would keep dressing like that after committing to Abraham, but still.
with the exception of this week's coming episode, in 5 seasons of the show, the gang hasn't dealt with issues such as starvation
and the show NEVER takes place in the winter/fall months
That candy bars and cereal are not expired yet.
They gave her that attire to catch the eye of the readers. You can assume she dresses like that to catch the eye of men so they will protect her but it is never said directly. And Rosita is actually less slutty than many other girls in the comic.
Sexy Latina stereotype, methinks.
I don't want Clem to dress like that, but I'd love to see the boys in the fanbase collectively lose their minds.
Oh, the way walkers are able to sneak up on people out of no where. They moan and groan, but yet people get bitten by surprise when in reality they woulda had plenty of time to react.
And for rotting corpses walkers have exquisite hearing, smelling and strength
