My thoughts on all endings.

You know guys, After replaying Season 2 over and over again, I've had many changes of heart. I broke up with my girlfriend and realized, Love doesn't really exist, so I thought about arvo, and He really is scum. and Clem and him would never get together, I played more and found Kenny really fucking annoying. I found the baby dying would be safer, and Most of all. I realized Jane was right. So here are my thoughts on the endings after replaying.

Ending 1 - Alone

When I saw Clem walk into that field, The first thing I thought of was Season 1, and I thought she was walking back to Savahna to see lee. and It puzzled me, Because On all the endings, INCLUDING Clem's, it said "9 Days Later", So it puzzles me how she lived that Long, and the field looked so much like the one at the end of season one, So she walked for 9 days with the baby, Being able to feed both of them, And ended up somewhere outside of Virgina, which, By the way, it was snowy and December/January back there, so she must have traveled quite a few states away. But then again, they walked 5 days in episode 2 and arrived Near virgina from down in the southern area of america. So I guess it's possible, But Clem was 11, and AJ needed food, so How they survived 5 days confused me. But, Onto the ending. I think they're either going to die, or end the story there. I mean, it's a perfect place to end Her story. You imagine what happens next. but I know they won't do that. so whatever.

Ending 2 - Kenny

When Re-Confronted with the option whether to shoot or not, this time I had a struggle on the inside, While I felt like Kenny could protect clem, I also thought Jane would have taught her correctly how to take care of herself. In the end, I let fate decide for me, A.K.A letting my brother choose.
He looked away. So after all of that, I had a few options in front of me. I could shoot him, (Which I did at first) I could Leave him behind at the car, and I could go with him. the second thing I did was leave him at the car, and it was complete and total agony. The things he said made me cry, like, actually cry, and I hadn't cried yet this season. It was the fact that he gave up everything for clem, dispite being a whiny piece of shit the rest of the time. Now, I went back to the wellington ending, and I stayed with him, which actually meant something to me this time. It meant that no matter what, Loyalty is what keeps you alive in the apocalypse. Finding someone who knows how to survive, but someone you trust, and be Loyal to one another. The same feeling I felt with Doug, Lilly, and Chuck from season 1. and that made me happy.

Ending 3 - Wellington

Now we get to the good endings. You know, when Kenny told me to stay for the very first time, it was kinda weird for me, I always saw Kenny as the over protective father who wouldn't leave a child the care about behind. I felt that way with Lee and Ken, Duck and Ken, and especially Clem and Ken, But, He just gave up, and that kinda made me realize he changed, He trusted Clem to take care of herself, and that's what Clem does. So at that moment, I had already done all other Kenny endings, so I finished with this one, and I must say, this ending satisfied me. It felt like a perfect ending to not only the Season, But to Kenny's story. I liked this ending a lot.

Ending 4 - Jane and The Family.

Now we move onto the Jane endings, and My absolute Favorite ending. At the end, I was happy it was Jane and I, Because she reminds me of my friend Adrianna, and she's cool. But the thing I liked most about it, is how well it was written. The script was smart, and realistic. I only don't understand why they still have power. But, as I was saying, The ending felt so natural, Like the Zombie apocalypse would be just like that. I love their characters, and I hope they can make it to at least episode 2.

Ending 5 - Jane, Clem, and AJ

On the topic of jane, this is the final ending. I have no thoughts about it, the only thing that changed was the family leave. My least favorite ending. That's pretty much it.

So yeah, those are my thoughts on the ending after all the replays. I love jane now, and... The game isn't bad. It's really really good. But when you compare it to season one, it feels like it could have been more. Leave your opinons below.

  • Regardless of my choice, I will look at each with as little bias as possible-

Alone-A little disappointing as there is no dialogue options or final choice but there didn't need to be any. A perfectly fine ending.

In Wellington-Most soul-destroying ending. I know all words of that goodbye and cried first time I saw it. A terrific end to likeable character.

With Kenny-My ending. I still think Wellington is 'better' in more way then one but I really like this end.

With Jane and the family-Alright rant time. I like Jane, she's a cool character who I regretted letting die. But I think her endings are awful. They look rushed (they probably were as everyone predicted Kenny or Luke so the half-assed an ending), there are reused models that are painfully obvious (seriously, I don't think there was one original model there while Kenny's had Wellington and Edith). In my opinion it just reeks or being rushed. I don't hate it because I chose Kenny, I dislike it because I think those who saved Jane deserve a better ending.

    With just Jane-Read above.

  • The alone ending really interests me. Its so far fetched that after so many days alone with A.J, they are still alive. Is she really alone? It definitely excites me for season 3 as this path could literally take countless different storyline routes.

I do like every ending. I agree with you too that it is an outstanding gaming experience, if this is what you're in to, which I am.

  • Huh, Those are all valid points, I do also think the textures looked really familiar. But with the family was the best ending for me. Also, I agree. Kenny looks just like gordon freeman when he holds that crowbar.

  • Yeah, You should have seen me on the forums 2 months ago, I was like a little baby, I yelled at everyone, I was a bully and I hated jane and season 2, But nowadays, I feel so much more calm and Mellow, I try to be nicer to people on the forums, Jane is a good character to me, and season 2 feels right now. and that's why I made this, to recap how i feel about the season now, so thank you for agreeing with me, I don't really know the point of this reply XD. But yeah, I have no clue how those two survived. they said they needed fourmula, and it looked like they were somewhere not snowy, somewhere warmer, so 9 days for all that seems a little weird.

  • The alone is my second favorite because, like you said, it interests me. For the first time, we are seeing Clementine on her own, surviving without the help of someone else, it shows how capable and independent she has become. She doesn't need someone like a Lee or Kenny to protect her anymore, she can protect herself. And there are so many routes the writers can take with this ending that I can't wait to see what they do with this and alll of the five endings.

  • Couldn't agree more. The intro to S3 has me thinking about it all the damn time. As much as I find the idea of Clementine taking care of a baby (that isn't her blood family, from people she barely knew, over a long period of time) very awkward it still has me the most interested on how it will play out compared to the other endings. Clem's a true survivor and quite capable which is why I respect/love her more than any other video game character.

When it comes to what I wanted for an ending, I refer to my credo:

    NEVER ALONE, NEVER AGAIN.

  • How I'd place the endings for me atleast

    1. Kenny's endings, I thought that this ending was alot more like walking dead, and had a very hard choice if you had made it that far with Kenny
    2. Alone Endin: It was interesting, and I liked seeing Clem on her own
    3. Jane Endings: I dont know why, but the Jane endings felt like they werent planned, and were just added last minute with a choice to let the family in or not just so there will be a one last choice
  • awwwww... i almost cry.....

My favorite ending is the one where you let the family stay with Jane. I just love the idea of Clem meeting a new family and starting to rebuild a broken society while redeeming an unpleasant woman in the process.

My second favorite is the ending where you go to Wellington, purely because Clem is finally safe and Wellington itself is a fascinating location for a season to center around - although there's the bittersweet implication that Christa's fallen into a plot hole and will never return.

My third favorite is the ending where Clem's alone, purely because Kenny and Jane are dead and that is good.

  • P.S.

Love doesn't really exist, so I thought about arvo, and He really is scum. and Clem and him would never get together

...why is this even a thing...

  • One of the problems i had with the second season is that Clem had no personality.

After 201, it's all drama, no time for Clem to develop. It's all about Kenny instead.

That's why I think the Alone ending gives the player an actual chance to see who Clem is (depending on the player). My first ending was the Kenny ending, but my next one was the Alone one. I was planning on doing the rest, i might do them before launch of 301 or the possible DLC episode.

This season, i think, was a rewritten mess. Like what was the theme of this Season? I tried for hours thinking for one. You might say "Survival," but Clem is so obvious to be invincible. It was supposed to be "trust," at least i think. But that was totally scrapped. The season, i give a 6.5/10. Due to the enjoyment of 201 and 202 and the camp fire scene from 205.

  • Because Love is kinda stupid and pointless, especially with that scum bag arvo, i used to think they would get together, I know better now

I would think people would be more against shipping the two because Arvo is a teenager and Clementine is a kid, but...you know what, never mind. Good for you.

  • I like the alone with Jane ending. I did not trust Randy with all the reaching behind his back he made me to nervous to let them in. Both of the Jane endings made me feel like I might have made a bad choice letting them in or not.

  • I thought it made sense, But, it really doesn't. He may be 16, but she's still only 11. Clem is my little girl in that game. No matter what.

especially with that scum bag arvo, i used to think they would get together, I know better now I would think people would be more ag
