Luke because he is a kind, level headed, reasonable, sensible, tactile guy who has kept his humanity and cares about Clementine (not saying Kenny doesn't) enough to be a big brother figure to her.

Even though it's just a videogame, in regards to human behavior, you have to understand that when people are hurting, they often times lash out at others.
And often times, they tend to do so toward those they're closest with.
It's not that they're intentionally trying to be mean, they're just hurting.
Case in point, Kenny blaming Clementine for Sarita's death.
By abusive I meant more verbally than anything, but there was one occasion where he shoved her (I believe in episode six), he accidentally h… moreit her once (although that wasn't done purposefully), and I think there may have been one other time but I could be totally wrong. Verbally, he was way out of line with Clem at times and it made me so mad because he found ways to blame her for things that she couldn't control (like Sarita's death, etc.) By the end of the second season, he just seems like such a broken person. I don't know how long Clem would be able to survive with him, no matter how much he tried to fix himself. He does love her, but I don't know if his love and will to protect her would be enough over time. He's not a people person and that can be an issue in a world where other people are all you have.
Not trying to say your opinion is wrong or anything because everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Luke sacrificed himself for Clementine as well in the 'help Luke' ending, he pulled the walker away so it wouldn't attack her instead of going up for air.

Kenny Kenny Kenny, And Kenny, Luke i'm sure is a good guy deep down but ever since this Cluke bullshit started I can't look at him the same (Even though it's obviously not true it's still weird as hell), Plus, Kenny has been the longest running character besides Clem and if you count 400 days...They are tied with what episodes they appear in, Also, My version of Lee would have choose Kenny over Luke without even letting the time bar appear.Then again, I respect anybodies opinion on the subject.
Kenny is a much better character with a better character depth you never know what his going to do next I really liked his character. A really damaged person trying to become good and protect clem anyway he could even if his method are sometimes wrong his heart is in the right place. I also found his dialogue really funny and badass
I find luke boring and a nag in the game and with Clem and picking decisions we always seemed to always have an opposite point of view and with his decisions with Clem I didn't like either his death had no impact on me. I wish Nick had lived longer instead of Luke tbh his a much more interesting character

As much as I would like to choose both of them to come with Clem because they are both very able to protect Clem and also be a good friend to her and be part of her family.
But since it is this, I am going to choose Kenny for a couple of reasons.
I've always liked Kenny and was very distraught when we lost him in season 1, I have always been a Kenny guy and always sided with him and from my other posts about Kenny you can tell that.
Kenny sacrificed himself for the people he cared about a lot, in episode 3 when Clem had the radio he took it from her and lost and eye due to doing that, in season 1 episode 1 when Larry punches you down Kenny comes back risking his life because of the zombie outbreak inside of the pharmacy and saves Lee even if you are an asshole to him.
And finally Kenny cares about Clementine a lot more than Luke, you can tell this by the discussions between Clem and Kenny you can tell that Kenny cares about Clem and even with his actions he cares about Clem. Then there is Luke,He saved Clem.. twice, once in the Lake which is determinant and when they first meet he saves Clem from the walker.. I'm not trying to diss Luke or anything because I seriously like him but Kenny has saved her and in fact does care for her a lot more than Luke does.
In the end I'm going with Kenny, sorry if that was a little long i like to ramble and get my point across a lot of the time Have a nice day.
I don't think Kenny ever physically abused Clem and he verbally abuses her because he lost his girlfriend a second ago and he's angry. But i'd probably choose Luke because Kenny is going insane(there's only so much one person could take before breaking down) even though I think he's a good guy deep down. I don't hate Luke but I don't like him either though.(He wasn't very interesting)
Although I can't imagine Luke instigating a fight with Kenny when he wouldn't fight Carver and knowing what Kenny did to Carver...plus Luke wasn't arrogant enough
Luke. He's not perfect, but he has a sense of emotional balance to him, keeps things together fairly well, is the middle ground between being pragmatic and super moral, makes logic-based decisions, and is ready to die for Clem if the situation calls for it. Clem might have known Kenny for longer but I think she'd do better with someone who opts to plan for things rather than wing it. And Kenny's mood swings are kind of unsettling at times.
