The OP's idea is really good! And so are these! This whole scenario kinda reminds me of a werewolf scenario--typically the bitten person get… mores bit but they don't realize what's happening at first. Then slowly they start exhibiting symptoms, gradually losing their humanity and trying to fight the transformation into a bloodthirsty beast with no regard for the safety of their loved ones. It wouldn't necessarily have to be Clem who was bitten in this situation; it could be anyone really. But imagine for a sec it was Clem, and perhaps she had someone with her, like a guardian/friend who was with her when she got bitten, and they both waited for her to turn, but it just never happened. If they came up against some people freaking out when she talks, said guardian could say, "No really! She's okay; she's been like this for days!" Otherwise I think people would be more likely to shoot her on the spot in this situation, more so than the dog bite situa… [view original content]
Let Me In Let Me In
Don't you know? Never trust strange girls in alleys at night; they might be vampires.
That whole spying thing is a… more cool idea, with the walkers and stuff. Imagine, if she'd pretend to move like one of them too so nobody could tell her apart from the others. o.o maybe she could even be like a Clemmy shield for somebody too, like from any bullets and such since she'd probably be able to take it. But what if it winds up being some tragic ending anyway where the effects of whatever makes Clem immune don't last, because eventually her brain goes all screwy and she starts forgetting who she and anything else to the point of being unable to recall her own name, and all she can think about is eating some guy's arm and they have to shoot her!? T_T
Mat, do something! T.T I'm dying here.
Well, your idea is really interesting. I must say, group of people that are bitten but not fully infected are really good. Now, there are 3 type of entity in TWD universe; Human, Walkers, the Bitten.
Aw thank you. ^.^ And woo yeah write it! You go, Mat!
T_T stop, my heart can't take no more.
Never! You can't stop my artistic geniuss, @Lilacsbloom! XD Lol you guys've got my mind rolling now.
Like I'd imagine if Clem was with someone/a group, or even if she was alone, she'd end up going to sleep at night tying herself up, for fear that when she falls asleep, her unconsciousness will let her zombie-ness take over and control her, letting her roam and attack others she doesn't mean to. And what would happen if other strangers would come across her when she's tied up? She'd be vulnerable for sure, and given her appearance, others could think she was just a walker for sure.
But perhaps there could be some happy moments in this story too. Like if she can act as a kind of shield for humans, perhaps Clem can save some young child--one of the few remaining in this world--from certain death when said child is surrounded by walkers (doesn't necessarily have to be AJ, but could be), and in an instance when no other living human could possibly help said child (no guns, etc.) In one silly part of my mind I'm imagining a Clem-zombie-like-superhero lol. She could be semi-immune to bites and to bullets (except to the head) and so she could save plenty of people from other walkers, and she could even wear a scarf like you suggested Mat, to keep her secret identity! Lol maybe could do a darker spin on that. xp
What if Clem could somehow communicate with the walkers a bit? What if the others ask her to be a kind of medium, communicating with their recently deceased they haven't yet put down? (Is this getting too cheesy lol?) Or what if one of Clem's human friends dies and becomes a walker, and she begs the other humans not to put her friend down yet, as she can communicate with them still, but the humans are skeptical of this and are more worried about everyone's safety and even Clem's sanity, not believing that she really can communicate with the true undead?
And I don't think it'd necessarily have to have an unhappy ending either. What if at the end, Clem meets another girl like her--bitten and still not turned, rotting away, but alive? Could be the start of something different hmm. It wouldn't necessarily have to be going the vaccine-route, but it could suggest more humans will be like Clem and this girl in the future, perhaps.
o.o What if she can't sleep at all because zombies don't need rest? Or when she does she just looks so deaaad and she gets mistaken for a corpse because she's so lifeless? [like she wakes to somebody saying "Aw poor kid. Here, gimme that big ass chainsaw right there; let's end her suffering before she turns!" XD okay not like that but you know lol]
Or what if because of her immunity, if Clem bites somebody, they end up turning out like her too? So if somebody's dying, she could techically save them by giving their wrist or hand a little nom nom, but now they're a thinking corpse too and gotta go through the same poop. Maybe Clem biting a walker gives them back some vague consciousness, yet because they're so far gone, the bite isn't as effective where they can barely slur out a word and might recognize a face or two, but it's like they're super wasted and out of it and they'd still munch your face if they could! O.O
What if there's a thing where a group doesn't know what to do with her, but at the same time they can't really kill her because what if she could be the answers to ending the ZA? So even if they don't understand any scientist mumbo jumbo, keeping her with them until finding somebody who can might help them in the long run, but, maybe they just simply don't find anybody like at all even despite it o.o What if at first they keep her gagged and tied up so she can't hurt him [keep watch on her at night too!] but overtime she gains their trust, like if they needed to get into a walker-infested building for medical or food supplies she could just skip right on in there and get whatever they needed. What if because they don't let her feed at first, aside from having the urge to chew on an arm very badly, she starts going all sluggish and slow so they've gotta hunt some deer or rabbits or something to give her some meat to nom nom on. Maybe even they put one of those medical white band-aid things on her face to hide where it's messed up, keep any gross stuff out of it or just so Clem doesn't have to lookie at it too or they don't.
:S what if it's like Let Me In where anybody gets a cut and there's blood and she just goes craaaazy!?
Aw thank you. ^.^ And woo yeah write it! You go, Mat!

Could try fanfiction.net that's where mine are all at, but you can also post on the forum too in Forum Games which I still can't figure out for the life of me how to get to through Telltale talk; I think it's a blackhole o_o...oh! And you can advertise it here:

Yeah, but I feel like TWD in general has progressed to far for this to happen. This idea would be cool for a whole entirely different zombie-apocalypse-style story or if TWD was to experience some type of reboot (which I feel would be too soon if such a reboot did happen).
Well, your idea is really interesting. I must say, group of people that are bitten but not fully infected are really good. Now, there are 3 type of entity in TWD universe; Human, Walkers, the Bitten.
...Did I just read The Walking Dead: Season 3?
But seriously, this would make a really cool twist on the zombie-apocalypse ideas. Instead of carriers or immune humans, there are people who are trapped between being alive and dead: almost like a conscious Frankenstein-like character. I wonder if Kirkman would be interested in something like this?

That's exactly my thought. TWD need to have a little twist in its universe. Maybe through this hybrid human-walker, there's an answer to this whole Outbreak?
I wonder if Kirkman would be interested in something like this?
If Kirkman gonna do this, it may not be now, maybe some more time. Every ZA needs an ending right?

I would rather Clementine be dead than be alive and have rotting flesh. No thank you. Besides, Clementine isn't superman, she can't be immune just like that because she's just a human. Being immune is cliche.

I wanna ask you. Is it possible to expand TWD universe? I mean, expand to certain possibilities like my idea here. Bitten but not turning.

You're welcome ^^ now go forth little green bean and create some awesomeness!
Telltale can't expand the universe. Kirkman, the writer of the comics, can.
