Season 3 needs a comedic character
Omid was one of my favorites and even Mike could have been with his raccoon line. Eddie would work well. The hippie stoner thing in the ZA sounds different

If played right, I feel like Patricia could be a sort of comedic character.
Clementine could be the comedic relief...in a sarcastic realist way
No those days are gone. I thought she was hilariously cute in S1 especially with the "Like shit right, Lee" dialogue
I'm thinking more like Nate. At least it was someone i could relate with, not a eleven year old with less personality than a orange.
Or a Clementine.
Clementine is way more fun than Omid
Why do we need a comedic character exactly?
Yeah, people can still crack jokes in the zombie apocalypse. We got a few tid-bits here and there, but man did we need more in S2. I expected more too, since Telltale did comedy games before.
I like funny characters too, but it needs to come off naturally. Omid kind of got on my nerves sometimes because it seemed like he was trying too hard. That scene in the attic when he's talking to the statue, I had the same reaction Christa had. "Dude really? Get your fucking head in the game". He's still a bro though.
I think many of the characters had their moments when they were amusing, even if they weren't specifically considered 'comedic characters', but as long as a character like that amounts to more than just being funny I'm on board with it.
I thought Larry was funny, and his death
We already had a comedic character, that person was
KennyOmid.Kenny always has me cracking up.
'We got anything to tie this shitbird up?'
But a more Omid comedic character would be nice.
Gotta make the best of a bad situation
yeh we dun need to be supuh srs all the time
There's making the best out of a bad situation and then there's joking around with people's friends and loved ones dying around them.
You can relate to Nate??!! Please, don't kill me and take all my stuff
That's not what I mean
They aren't going to be making little one-liners right after someone get's eaten by a zombie. It'd be in the little inbetween moments.
Everything being doom, gloom, and despair isn't a good thing, unless it's done really well (The Road). Otherwise, it just get's really boring (The Walking Dead TV Show). For example, let's take a page from Breaking Bad and the first season of Telltale's The Walking Dead. Both were absolutely amazing, and the humor definitely contributed to making characters more likable.
Humor is better for you than drama, after all. Most people would rather feel happy than sad and scared.
This guy gets it. I don't wanna see someone saying cheap one liners as we chop off walker heads there would be an appropriate time and place for it
Did somebody say....Breaking Bad humor?
Right, having some funny things isn't a bad idea but having a dedicated comedic character would be odd.
I see no tonal improvement between the first 2 and a half episodes of season 1 and the second two and a half, and only the second had a 'comedic character. That comedic character was also the least developed long-term group member, and the fact that he was just around for laughs caused that and devalues the concept of desperate humanity that season 2 suffered from for different reasons.
Did you like Omid?
He was a comedic character.
Did you even read my post?
I said that the comedic character (Omid) was only in the second half of season 1 and he didn't automatically make the tone of the walking dead better (Most people rate the episode sections before he arrives higher, actually), and that the fact that he was a dedicated comedic character was part of the reason that he got less character development than any other character in the group for more than one episode.
I just asked a question, wasn't in any real relevance to your post. I know what your post was, I wanted to know if YOU liked Omid.
Despite the fact that Omid was a dedicated humorous character, it doesn't change the fact that there was still humor even before he came around, such as with Carley's batteries and Duck's adventures.
I don't believe there should be a character who's main purpose is jokes, but there should be jokes in the game.
Then why did you point out he's a humorous character, I know that :P
He was okay. Would have saved anyone else over him though.
Well yes, I agree, but this thread is asking for a 'comedic character'.
Hmm, don't really know, I'm tired. :P
Hmm, alright, I personally really enjoyed him...Sad to see him go in S2.
Yeah I see a lot of myself in his character. His dark humour especially. I have to tone myself down for these message boards. I know how he feels when he said, he has a hard time relating with "normal" people, because of what he went through in the war.
Best. Reaction. Gif. Ever.
