Even tho I'm fascinated with psychology and learned so much about it I can see an angle where they seem to think this because in psychology when you diagnose people with certain mental illnesses or use it to fix a problem in psychology they use common patterns to diagnose a person with something like tick a box but painting everyone with the same brush and system not taking into account each human brain is different, random and unique will lead to this sort of mentality that psychology is bs to some people
if you keep your eye on depression, and then back away. Spacing yourself farther and farther. All the while, watching depression shrink in the growing distance. When that tiny speck of sadness vanishes from sight completely. It’s at that precise moment, your periphery will catch hands reaching up behind you to cover your eyes. And you will here a small voice whisper... ‘guess who?’.
