Help - can't walk and shoot at the same time!
I can't get pass Episode 4 because i simply can't press s and shoot at the same time. when trying to back up the stairs while shooting walkers as I can't back up and shoot at the same time and every time I do shoot, it takes too long for it to actually let me shoot again.
I've already tried lowering the graphics, resolution and shadows to no avail. I literally cannot get passed this part of the game because of this and I would rather not have any frustration induced rage fits at my laptop, so any help in getting around this would be much appreciated. I would like to get back to the story please

Or would u perhaps be talking about season 2 episode 4
Ok for starters i would say x out the game and restart it up
If that does not work restart ur laptop or desktop up and see if that fixes it
Those might work if not ill give u some other tips and tricks to trying to fix it

Tried both restarting the game and the pc and it's the same problem. Either i shoot or walk. I manage to kill the first 2, with a bit of effort i get a third one by going back stoping and shooting, but that's it.
um maybe a community mod could perhaps help @Ozzyuk

Maybe it's a functioning with your keyboard/mouse messing with eachother, try unplug them both and restart your computer and try that, if that doesn't work then i don't know what to do sorry.
i'm using a laptop. I've actually thought it could be something like that and i tried using differente mouses. Nothing new so far... but thank's for the suggestion!

Did you have this problem with any other game? Your problem here might actually be a hardware limitation. How old is your laptop, was it a cheaper or more expensive model? Problem with that is that cheaper keyboards have less wires and as such some commands have to share and this may also be a problem with laptops. At least that is what I found out, I am by no means an expert.
I have my laptop for a couple of years but it's a good model. Asus N56V - intel i7 2.3Ghz. Never had the problem with other games.
Did you try using just the touch pad?
that's one thing i didn't thought...let me give it a shoot and see if that can be a workaround.

I did a bit more digging and found something that might help. Touchcheck may be activated, which prevents you from using the touchpad when typing, in your case pressing the S key. Deactivate it from Control Panel - Mouse - Touchpad Settings. Can't check the exact location as I play on a desktop but do give it a look.

Absolutely brilliant! I have touchfreeze installed, which prevents ghosts touches on the mousepad while typing. Soon as i disabled it, i finally manage to pass that segment.

Have you tried using a USB mouse?
i was using a usb mouse but it seems touchfreeze blocks clicking (mouse or mousepad) whenever i'm typing.
