    The story and characters.

I bought it because I was a big fan of the show. It also looked interesting based off of the cover and game description. Nothing else really

  • The fact it made my 20 year old brother cry like a little baby, then I knew I had to play this.

  • I honestly don't remember. I started watching a youtuber play it (Can't remember whom) and then I just got hooked on it and couldn't stop watching. .-.

  • I'm a huge fan of anything The Walking Dead, so I figured I'd give it a try. What appealed to me was it's story, it's characters, and the idea of being able to tailor the story to how I want to play it. Both games have had a huge emotional impact on me, and I'm not an emotional person, so for a game to do that like this one has, I knew there was something special about this game.

My love of TWD universe brought me in. The thing I liked most was that this game gave the gaming industry the breath of fresh air it so desperately needed. Yes, we as gamers still appreciate ingenuity, engaging stories and well developed characters. Its not all about blowing shit up.

  • This game is truly awesome. Nothing like anything I've ever played. What made me get into it was Clementine. I was on the ps store and saw the S2 demo. Played it, was intrigued, went back to S1, was immediately hooked.

  • Not sure, good Question.

I play it for the LOLS

  • Samuel L. Jackson.

  • I wish he would get a part in the next game, right.

WE GOT THESE MF ZOMBIES ON THIS MF PLANE.

    Samuel L. Jackson.

I bought a new computer and needed a quick game to see how well it works. That weekend it was only a couple bucks so I bought it.

  • LOL

I originally heard that Telltale was going to do a walking dead game, one that promised to be different than most. That alone interested me: an actual story and character-driven zombie game? Hell yeah. This was back when it was literally first mentioned. No trailers or anything at that point, just the assorted concept art and interviews.

By that point, I watched the TV show, and was knowledgeable about the comics (hadn't read all of them by that point though). As far as Telltale experience goes, the only game of theirs that I played was Poker Night (which I ended up getting once I heard that the Heavy from TF2 was in it.) I heard about their Sam and Max games, although I hadn't played them. I liked the writing in Poker Night though, and that gave me some hope that TWD could work out.

So then eventually, more announcements come out and the teaser trailer for it pops up. Of course, that piqued my interest, but I was still on the fence, as we didn't see much in the way of actual gameplay at that point. Then the story trailer pops up that shows us a better glimpse of what we were getting into. Of course, I was still skeptical in some degree about it, but it was slowly but surely winning me over.

Then later on at some point, the first 15 minutes of the game leaked online, going up to around the point that you reach Clementine's house. That was the point that fully won me over and convinced me to pick it up. Never regretted that decision since.

Speaking of such, I remember reading comments back when it first leaked, and a lot of people were saying it was nothing special/shitty/etc. Funny how quickly that changed.

  • The story.

  • I love zombie and apocalyptic stuff so when I found out about the game I downloaded the demo on my phone and was hooked....bought the season pass on my phone and Steam....I liked that the focus wasn't on mindlessly killing zombies, but about the choices that ppl make to stay alive
