Don't get on much so forgive me if someone attempted this. Can we use this thread to reveal every's pre apocalyptic occupations. I don't remember them all. I know:
Lee - history professor
Kenny - commercial fisherman
Katjaa - veterinarian
Larry & Lily - Military
Mark - Military ?
Carley - Journalist
Carlos - Doctor

Christa: probably something in an office where she doesn't have to interact with humans.
Molly: parkour instructor?
Stranger: Coached kids baseball (is that even an occupation in America?)
Alvin: worked in a chocolate factory

I always imagined Alvin to be a geography teacher.
Walter says he was a teacher and talks extensively about literature, so I guess he taught English Lit or something. Then again he does refer to himself as an artist so he may have taught Art too.
Luke: "Nick! We're burnin' daylight! The world.... The world is burnin' daylight.
...It's a fuckin' calamity..."
Nick: "..."
Luke: "We've gotta preserve the daylight Nick! That's why you've gotta go into business with me man!" (holds up glass cup) "We've gotta sell these daylight catchers Nick!"
(6 months later)
Nick: You're an asshole, 6 months in and all our funds are gone... I knew this was stupid".
Luke: "Okay, I admit I fucked up... But I'll pay you back, promise".
Nick: "How?"
Luke: "Well unlike you I spent my small profit on a college degree".
Nick: "Really!? What did you study".
Luke: "Art history
