When Pete went to visit Rick, that was not a friendly one.
He had no intentions of wanting to be friends with Rick.
What he was doing, if you paid attention to his body language, and his tone of voice, he basically was saying: "I may have not been out there like you, but I'm still not someone you wanna mess with. Stay away from my wife. I'm the Alpha dog in that department, and if you interfere with me, I'm gonna mess you up."
And I will admit that I was impressed, both with Abraham and with Eugene.
When no-one else would help that woman, Abraham put himself in harm's way to keep her safe, showing himself to be both a leader, and an honorable man.
And Eugene, though he was a self-professed coward, when the people he cared about were in trouble, he stepped up and did what needed to be done.
He was not just gonna run off and leave them, like that one asshole did to Glen and poor Noah.
You mean Nicolas yeah. Well this episode talked alot about bravery with Abraham showing courage and Eugene showing redemption while Nicolas showed what a real cowards like.
As for Pete well if the next ep is like the comics then this is BAD for everyone.

We got one black male character left now (besides Morgan who should be there, but isn't). Yipes! and Father Gabriel is not looked upon as a positive light in this series. Still the episode itself was good for the most part.
It was actually the very first episode that got me interested into the show again.
Gabriel had some screen time, both scenes with tearing pages from the Bible and speaking to Deanna about the danger of Rick's group were very good. Noah... it looked like he was getting more character development, what made his death scene even more sad. Revolving door scene was purely terrifing - can you imagine being trapped in there? - tension, fast pace, realism, grim and bloody atmosphere, I hope we'll see the consequences in the next episode; guy who left Deanna's son to die is still alive, and he can surely lie about what happened, which could be another argument for the community to get rid of Rick's group.
Reference to an abusive husband is a jackpot in Carol's storyline. Carol, who has lost three children, and doesn’t want to care about another one and then have to go through the devastating pain of losing them again. Little cookie monster looks like the good potential for a future psychopath.
What I liked:
whole action in the store, one of the most painful death I can imagine;
Eugene getting his shit together for Tara ("I told you I was a coward");
Abraham and "mother dick";
Glenn. He is much better character without Maggie.
Rick wondering if he should take off his wedding ring;
Daylight's burnin' game reference (probably not, but I'll take it);
well hidden foreshadowing
What I didn't like:
All black men must die... Bob, Tyresee, Noah. Better watch out, Morgan.
Gabriel: they've done bad things
Mrs Paradise Manager: alright just wait up until my son dies and we're gonna kill them all for that
Maggie playing the philosopher role (Sister? What sister?)
Now I'm waiting for the end of Alexandria and the rise of Negan.
I'm sure it is a resurfacing of old wounds, but that doesn't justify a plot to murder the guy when it isn't her call to do that. They're in a civilized community now, and they're still trying to gain acceptance. Emotions or not, she shouldn't be going around threatening to kill people (and with Carol we know these aren't just empty threats/ emotional responses). It's as if she doesn't understand how fragile the group's situation is, and just does whatever she feels like. I think she is way too impulsive, and this is very likely to get the group in trouble with the rest of the community. I still think she is very lucky that Sam has said nothing about her death threats.
As for Rick, I'm really not sure where his mental stability is at this point. A week ago we saw him put his hand to his gun when Pete walked by with Jessie. This was before he even knew anything about the guy's abusive ways. Of course Rick should definitely do something, especially as he is the law enforcement of the community, but he can't just straight up kill the guy without backlash. Here's to hoping he's smart about it.
I think it's less about it being a good idea but rather her resurfacing wounds from her old days of getting abused by Ed. I think it's quite… more understandable that Carol would want the asshole dead, but sadly isn't thinking about the situation too logically. I highly doubt Rick is going to follow through with it just like that.
Well the thing is that Glen STILL hasent killed ANYONE so don't think hes starting. Also i think he knows its better for Nicolas to be judged by the comunity (especially the rest of ricks group) before they make that choice.
I wont go into deep discussions, im just gonna say this in as simple way as possible:
-R.I.P Noah
-Poor Tara, I hope they dont kill he… morer off like every nice character I like.
-Fuck you Gabriel and burn in hell.
-Dont feel bad for Aiden.
-Badass Eugene.
-Badass Gleen. Although he needed to kill Nicholas or atleast punch him some more.
-Oh yeah, I forgot to say: FUCK YOU NICHOLAS.
-Badass leader Abraham. Mother dick, i just felt like i needed to say that.
-Pete is a pussy. Cant wait for Rick to beat his ass.
Thats me. Im out.

Thereire mostly known as the scavengers but i 100% think you are right.
Considering that the events leading to them not only fit perfectly in the following ep but that 'what they end up doing' is fantastic for a season finally. Though i wonder who will play Derek ( theire leader) "Little pig, little pig let me in".
There appearence would also make sense due to the finale being longer that normally (hour and a half instead of 45 mins)

I personally found this episode to be awesome in several ways. It had everything we could look for; action, suspense, deaths, development.
It was just an epic episode.
Firstly, we got to finally see Gabriel again, which was nice, even if it was for a short while. I felt the scenes he was in, were powerful - he is still showing a lack of belief in his faith, and the penultimate scene with Deanna was just brilliant - despite the group giving him a chance at survival, he still gives them up, and cannot mention a good word. Although I found these scenes to be very powerful, I cannot forgive the Father. To do what he did, even after what the group did for him, is unforgivable. I'd like to see where both Deanna and Maggie take this.
Secondly, we had the Abraham solo. There is not much to say about these scenes. I mean, what more can you ask for from the guy who takes charge, saves a life, killing dozens of zombies with just a pipe, and saying 'Mother Dick', all in one afternoon. Not much more needs to be said. Abraham is really starting to come into the foreground, and I can't say that I am dissappointed - I've been waiting for moments like this for him, quite exciting.
Thirdly, we have the Carol and Sam moments once more. Carol seems to get more and more evil by the episode, but yet still seems sad at the end of the episode with Rick about Peter beating Jessie, and possibly Sam. I really enjoyed this part, and am very interested to see where this is taken, and what happens with Sam.
Fourtly, the department store scenes were some of the best, yet some of the most gruesome. The action and suspense throughout the whole thing was great, and helped to make it what it was in my opinion. What Aiden did was rather stupid, and consequently got him killed.
Throughout the whole of the episode, I began to like Aiden, and Noah even more so, only to have them ripped away soon after. This scene was great, despite having two gruesome, sick deaths.
It really made me smile when Noah was sharing the ambitions of what he wanted to be, and how he wanted to help - despite me already knowing his fate beforehand. I felt before this, Noah was just getting pushed further and further back, until ultimately, there was no where left to go. I always liked him, and the way he stared at Glenn before being ripped apart was just brutal, and more upsetting - this death is one that I can see will haunt Glenn.
Finally, we had the Eugene development. This was one of, if not my favourite part of the episode. Eugene was finally standing up, and becoming the man that he can be. He showed that when his friends needed him, he can help them and be relied on - helping Tara to safety and helping to rescue Glenn and the other one, Nicholas. Hopefully Eugene sticks around for a while longer, and I believe if they develop him correctly; he can become a key member of the group - he has the brains, now he just needs the courage.
Overall, another fantastic episode for Season 5, only helping to solidify the show at the top. I can't wait to see where we go from here.
One of my favourite episodes of the season, and maybe the entire show. Bravo, AMC, bravo.
I'm starting to get a little pissed of though. Where the hell is Heath? He's supposed to be the most capable Alexandrian, even more so than Aaron. So much so in fact, Rick actually brings him into his inner circle.
I think he was the black guy at the construction site.
Also, if you remember when Carol meets Tobin, there was a black guy, which I think is the same person as the guy at the construction, who I think it Heath.

Well considering the fact that they have about 15 other main characters i think they decided not to add Heath (or at least show Heath) because like you said hes BIG in the comics and it would be wrong to just put him as some backround character.
Agreed, it's quite foolish that the t.v. series hasn't brought him in. He played a big role in the comics and to see him not there makes it seem like all the people of Alexandria look like idiots/assholes.
I think thats what there going for the three capable people in Alexandria were aaron, heath and denise and they left out the two of them, honestly I dont mind, far too many as there is and its confusing. Adding the two of them as part of hilltop or the kingdom would be good because I cant remember a single character from there bar the leaders

I can understand this. But they could at least give him the Aaron treatment. I love T.V Aaron. He's only been around for 3 or 4 episodes, and already feels like 10x the character that some of the others are. (Eugene, Rosita, Sasha, even Maggie).

I feel like when Pete dies (it's inevitable) Denise will be introduced cause we need a doctor.
Not sure about when/how Heath will come. Perhaps since Noah is dead we need another black guy?

I agree entirely with you. Carol is an awesome character, and that can be seen from the range of things she has done; from making cookies to destroying Terminus is a good example. Her character consistently keeps us wondering, qnd that is what makes her so great.
Also, I agree with her not having to be the 'good guy' all of the time like Rick, which only makes her charcter stronger.

Well she is the 'good guy' (which isnt bad) still and Rick is kinda like Carol only Carol is more ....forcefull
I think that Sam and Jessie are the way Carol will finnaly stop seeing all these people as dagerous and finally accept the community (especially if Rick becomes leader)

Thanks for replying, I really appreciate it!
I didn't really like Noah until this episode. Okay, so it's not exactly his fault that Beth is dead, but Tyreese's death was mostly his fault. This episode would be an actual episode I was actually okay with the character. Kinda ironic, the first episode where I was warming up a little to the character, and he gets killed. Oh well.....
And Gabriel, I really hate the character now. Even after Rick and his group saved him several times, he tells Deanna Rick and his group are bad people. Sure, Rick and his group aren't perfect, but they did what they needed to survive in this crazy world, and most (if not pretty much all) of their actions were justified. And considering he just left his "flock to die" outside his church by the zombies, it only came to show that Gabriel is an individual who is weak-willed, naive, ungrateful, and hypocrite and a coward for his recent actions.
I'd imagine in next episode, Aiden's death and Gabriel's "confession" will result in a rift between Deanna and Rick's group. But what I'm more interested about is how the group would react when they find out about Gabriel's betrayal. Will they forgive him despite what he's done, or punish him in some way?
It was actually the very first episode that got me interested into the show again.
Gabriel had some screen time, both scenes with tearing… more pages from the Bible and speaking to Deanna about the danger of Rick's group were very good. Noah... it looked like he was getting more character development, what made his death scene even more sad.

It's not that they die, it's that if one of them dies immediately another one is introduced within a episode if not already.
Take Gabriel. Gabriel was introduced one episode, and Bob died the next. And then Noah is introduced literally the next episode. And when Noah joins the group (I.e. Rick's group formerly after Beth's death) Tyreese dies in the nest episode.
It's really irritating, kinda funny, but irratating.
3 people of one race die and that's 'all black men must die'? Is the fact that lots of white men died racist? That lots of men died is misandristic?
Hah.

........Um Alexandria only fell for like a week during all out war then it was immediatly rebuild so no it did'nt fall. Unless you mean the temporary zombie infestation

Rick gonna completely fuck Pete up next week, can't wait. Then the Ressie ship can keep sailing without any icebergs in the way
Well she is the 'good guy' (which isnt bad) still and Rick is kinda like Carol only Carol is more ....forcefull
I think that Sam and Jessie are the way Carol will finnaly stop seeing all these people as dagerous and finally accept the community (especially if Rick becomes leader)
Again Sam is the way the writers want to merge her with the community so needs to be likable to the fans (especially Carol fans)
3 people of one race die and that's 'all black men must die'? Is the fact that lots of white men died racist? That lots of men died is misandristic?
Hah.
I hope it stops.
Apart form what @InGen_Nate_Kenny said, it was a joke, friend.
...and a Game of Thrones reference.
........Um Alexandria only fell for like a week during all out war then it was immediatly rebuild so no it did'nt fall. Unless you mean the temporary zombie infestation
