Carver's Stupidity

  • First, I don't appreciate you calling my favourite character stupid :/

But I have to admit...that was a bit dumb, especially since no one else had a gun on them (actually, didn't Rebecca have a gun too? So if he'd gone for it then she could've shot him)

  • I'm not a Carver hater and I'm not even trying to say he was dumb more of an actual writing flaw that made him look dumb

  • Because it would make sense to have as many weapons as possible. Although this logic doesn't really work if you don't use said weapon, so yes. The gun served no purpose.

Why did they even have Rebecca take his gun, anyways? She never even uses it, then after she dies its completely forgotten about. In all honesty, it would have been better for him to not have it like you said

  • Your negativity is poison to the community.

Imagine you're GRRM and give a random hobo the permission to write book 5. The end result will obviously be trash and that's how Season 2 turned out when they handed it down to a bunch of incompetent talentless hacks with no prior writing experience.

  • Ok, please explain to me how Kenny getting lucky with escaping Savannah is a plot hole.

  • Well if you are surrounded by multiple zombies on both sides, Lee says "No one was getting out of there." You are telling me, Kenny in the center of the ally, had to go through a good size distance to get away either way. It makes absolutely no sense, why would Kenny close the door, then run down the Alleyway to safety? Why wouldn't he just continue with Lee. They decided to kill him off, but left it open so they could rehash him in S2.

Plothole after Plothole. I'm not trying to be mean or insulting, but its the truth.

They wanted him assumed dead for the feels, so they killed him off. Then when he was magically brought back to life, Clementine just so happens to run into him again almost a year later. That is totally believable and realistic to me...

  • Are you telling me that TTG staff are bullied out of their own forums. That isn't even credible to me. If that is what you are telling me, whatever man.

They take zero initiative to talk to us. I check these boards almost every day in the morning while i have my coffee. I know. I've had more input from other game developers steam forums, than here.

The majority of the fans would behave in a reasonable manner, yet there is zero interaction, because TTG can get away with it. hmmm... but whoever wrote that story had obvious no writing experience Right...reasonable...

  • I see the problem here, but that isn't what would be considered a plot hole.

Kenny going against all odds of surviving? It's impossible to consider this a logic gap in the story, since there was a chance of him escaping just extremely slim. The same goes for when he finds Clementine.

Besides, if you want an example of a plot hole in Season Two, it's Carver chasing the cabin group. I think I already told you about this, but it's worth pointing out again.

In Episode Two, Carlos implies that Carver's camp isn't far from the cabin, so this gives the group more reason to haul ass and look for safety. Now the amount of time it took them to get to Walter's cottage was five days...and yet they somehow still managed to avoid Carver's group. Even when they sleep or eat.

Why did it take Carver so long to finally decide to capture them? Sure you could say he needed something to use as a distraction and make the cabin group use up their ammo (via the turbine), but this was a plan that worked out of sheer dumb luck. What if the cabin group walked so far that by the time Carver caught them, the truck would run out of gas and they'd all be stranded? Did Carver somehow know Walt's cottage was there so he made his plan before hand? How? Johnny's life maybe could've been spared if Carver actually lived up to his reputation as "very smart."

    Pretty much, yeah

Sure, you can say "just ignore it", but that doesn't really work when 90% of threads here are just bashing them in some way. If I was one of the writers, I don't think I'd have the patience to post here when everyone keeps saying I'm a dope with no writing experience or that I'm a talentless, incompetent fuck. What's the point of even trying?
