A writer that could make S3 just as emotional

Alice Sebold the author of The Lovely Bones and Lucky. Her writing is powerful and still stands in TLB's shitty movie counterpart. I know she would be out of her element with the zombie and video game thing but could still deliver themes of depression, loss and character depth and changes. She should be on the writing team

  • And possibly recreate another Amid the Ruins or Around Every Corner incident where you hire an outside writer to write episodes. Now granted I have not read any of her work, I am not judging her work nor am I criticizing her style, I personally would just feel more comfortable with Telltale staff handling her character.

  • If its any consolation Petty wrote an MGS game which writing was pretty lackluster. I didn't like Amid The Ruins either but not all outside writers are the same and based off her writing could write one of the best episodes yet. Her, Darin, Whitta and some help from Breckon can do things

  • I really think Breckon should have a larger role and should remain as the head writer, I thought he was great, but to each his own. Darin absolutely, while I feel STF is overrated due to its lack of advancement in the story, I think he's a great writer and made the St. Johns one of the most memorable villains in the game. I doubt Whitta is going to come back since he's busy with some comic book I hear. If there were three people I would trust with Season 3, it would probably be Breckon, Darin, and Pierre Shorette. Maybe they can call her in to oversee the narrative development like Whitta did for Season 1.

  • I really think you should check out some of her books they're both best sellers and have been praised. As for Breckon I agree he's still a valuable member of the writing team he should be in charge of certain things like Luke in the earlier episodes and Carver. He and Sebold should be in charge of the navigation on the story Sebold can fill in the cracks. They can make sure it stays consistent instead of falling in so many places

  • The Lovely Bones....much as I enjoyed the movie, I didn't particular favor the book unfortunately :( so I can't really back that, nor would I have any faith in her taking on something like The Walking Dead with a ZA. Maybe her novel Lucky might be better [I haven't had the chance of reading that yet] but from what I read solely from The Lovely Bones, it's a no.

  • I'll check her out.

  • She would only work if she was the writer in charge in playing with our emotions, but she would need help with the genre.

  • Yeah I know haha, but it would definitely be interesting. I'm a Christopher Nolan fanboy though so I'd love to see it anyways.
