I've heard around the web that Noah was a replacement for Heath. I doubt they'd keep Heath hiding in the shadows for so much time, him being a fan-favorite and all.

To everybody who's been saying it was a 90 minute episode; I hate you so much right now. :P
The show started at 22:00 over here. At 23:15 (after two commercial breaks) the episode was getting really exciting. Good, I thought, atleast 15 minutes of show left. Nope, the end.
How many commercial breaks do you have in America that you believe that was 90 minutes? :P
90 minutes refers to the time the show airs, commercials and all. People call 1 hour shows 1 hour despite that they are usually only 44 minutes long. Nothing abnormal.

Yeah I agree I think he's a lot like Shane but their motives are totally different. Shane was a bad guy and Rick is a good guy.
How are their motives totally different? Rick had a target on Pete from the beginning; the abuse merely gave Rick a legitimate reason to want to take him out. I'm not apologizing Pete's behavior, but Rick had his eye on Jessie from the moment he saw her. Now with Shane, I can see why he came to despise Rick. Yes, he lied to Lori about Rick being dead, but he was in a coma...Shane did what he had to do in order to save Lori and Carl. Then Rick shows up at the camp in Atlanta and is reunited with Lori and Carl....not only does Rick replace Shane as the defacto leader, but Lori goes back to Rick and completely shuts Shane out...and then on top of that tells him that even if her unborn child is his, that it will never be his b/c she's with Rick now. Shane was trying to protect everyone and keep his new found family...he was just ahead of everyone about how to approach the new world ethics.
Rick putting his hand on his gun when he sees Pete and Jessie walking by and Jessie waves is very reminiscent of Shane drawing his gun on Rick in the woods and Dale catches him....Rick is seen as the good guy b/c he's the main character. he's the one we're supposed to care about. that's why people root for the God Father or Soprano dude...we tend to always root for the main character simply by virtue of being the main character.
When Rick tells Jessie that he wouldn't intervene for just anyone...I don't think it was really that he wouldn't help someone else with a similar situation....I think he was implicitly telling her that he's doing it because he has feelings for her. And I think Jessie asks Rick if he'd do it for anyone for the same reason...to indirectly ask rick about his intentions
Yeah I agree I think he's a lot like Shane but their motives are totally different. Shane was a bad guy and Rick is a good guy. I wonder i… moref Rick really meant it when he said he wouldn't stop a domestic abuse for anyone? I thought he was lying to try to make her feel special or something, because he's proven to do what's necessary over and over again. But you could definitely be right, maybe he really did mean that.
Rick was never going to kill Pete until he learned he was beating his wife. There was no "target" on his back. There's no way he would have killed a guy just so he could be with his wife. That's not who he is.
The only reason Shane was ahead of everyone was because his morals were twisted which allowed him to quickly adjust to the new world. I loved Shane but he was a total scumbag. Remember when he killed Otis so he could live? Rick would never ever ever do that. I don't buy the fact that he was some hero in disguise. He was always up to something, and at the very root of it was his own interests. That's why Dale's "I know who you are" speech was so awesome, because he was the only guy out of the group to know the evil Shane was capable of.

yeah reg was cool sucks that he died like that.. that speech was awesome. that daryl chain kill was total bullshit but awesome, and how the fuck did morgan learn kung fu??? guess the force is really strong!!
Wow! What a finale. The best yet.
* Seeing Morgan again was awesome and now they have finally reunited. I'm over the moon about that.
… more
* Abraham forgiving Eugene. That was moving.
* I'm glad Sasha didn't kill Gabriel and Glenn didn't kill Nicholas. Those deaths would have just confirmed what Gabriel said about them.
* I was shocked when Pete killed Reg. I was like WTF?! Why did it have to take her husband's death before Deanna changed her mind? So tragic. Reg was a nice guy. And I'm glad Pete is dead. Fucking asshole.
* So noble of Daryl to sacrifice himself like that to save Aaron. And Morgan was such a badass when he saved them.
Amazing stuff. Now comes the agonizing wait till the next season. But I'm satisifed with the finale. So AMC....
and...
pretty good 8.5-9/10. really like that they are not killing main characters in finales just for shock value. but i just dont like that they set up the villains for next season. but they doing a great job.

While I'm saying that Rick had it out for Pete, I didn't say that I thought Rick would kill Pete...I merely said that that particular scene with Rick was reminiscent of the scene when Dale catches Shane aiming his gun at Rick behind his back. Rick couldn't really point the gun at him since he wasn't supposed to have it...
It was obvious Rick wanted Jessie from the moment he kissed her on the cheek at the party. Finding out that Pete was abusive allowed Rick to rationalize his desire to covet his neighbor's wife.

I thought it was awesome. But where were the "tissues" Norman Reedus was talking about. That had me thinking, Tara and Carol were gonna die. Then when I watched it, I thought Daryl and Glenn were gonna die. I even thought(maybe more hoped than thought) Gabriel was going to die. Both Daryl and Glenn were in situations that had me like, "no way *he's gonna make it out of that, better brace myself." but they miraculously made it. Like I said, I thought the episode was awesome, but it feels like it was spoiled a little by Norman Reedus.
I've heard around the web that Noah was a replacement for Heath. I doubt they'd keep Heath hiding in the shadows for so much time, him being a fan-favorite and all.
Sorry I'm late.

My thoughts exactly
More like Morgan will DEFINENTLY remember that

Yeah yeah, I still hate you.
And I sorta feel bad for you, having 30 minutes of commercials. Yikes.
Lol no
EDIT: Nvm I misunderstood.
The actual episode was about 1 hour and 3 minutes, without the commercials.

I give it a solid 8/10.
It lost some points with very little Morgan.
I do like how they implemented the Wolves as the Scavangers (although I still believe they wanted to troll us with a W for Whisperers).
Glenn still keeping his humanity as always :P
I think most people were sad about Reg cause he was a really nice guy. He offered to mentor Noah and delivered that speech to Maggie.

Well maybe Morgan just had lots of time on his hands after he lost his son (R.I.P.)
I love my name!
