The Stranger - He kind of reminds of James Woods
Danny St. John - He cares about his family at least.
Season 2 Clem - She used to be S… moreeason 1 Clem. If nothing else I'll always have fond memories
Jane - Dat ass. And nothing else.
Luke - He was a nice guy. You just can't count on him to get anything done.
I don't think having a nice ass counts as a 'nice trait' - trait is about character.
Can you seriously not think of one good thing she is, or has done? You dislike her for saving Clem from the lake, or saving Kenny's life etc? For knowing how to light a fire very quickly to save Clem?

Jane wasn't so bad. Her friendship felt extremely forced. I mean IMO i think Jane should of started with the cabin Group with the inital find of Clementine, then it wouldn't of felt so forced in episode 4. They couldn't do that, because they decided to change the story mid way through. Bravo TTG.
Was Rehashing, Kenny really worth ruining the story.

Ehhhhh, I can't really give her points for the lake thing since my Clem didn't fall in. And that shootout with the Russians never would've taken place had she not mugged Arvo to begin with. Can't even give her points for the walker camouflage trick, since Lee beat her to it 2 years ago, and Clementine probably would've mentioned it on her own anyway.
I guess I like the sweep kick thing she taught Clementine. But that's hardly new. Clem did something similar to that in episode 2:2 when you attack the big walker before Luke.

I fail to see why it not happening in your playthrough means she has no good features at all.
Her character is who she is in all playthroughs, the things she does and would do if she needed to.
What about her returning to the group because she cares about what happens to Clem? Having overcome her survivalist instincts and given in to her caring side? Or do you think she should have stayed away?
What about helping the group escape Carver's compound by telling Clem how to use the rope?

IMO, all the little tricks she showed Clementine fall, to some extent, in the category of manipulating her and winning her over.
But what about the one time when she helped Rebecca and Clem getting through the herd? That was brave. Everyone else just chickened out or died.

I'm one of those people that thinks Jane only cares about Clementine because she is a possible Jaime 2.0 deluxe. And reason for that? Jane never shows a personal interest in Clementine. Luke at least took time to ask Clementine personal questions about herself. What she's been through, who she was with, how's she doing in spite of it all etc.
When Jane and Clem talk, Jane is either talking about herself, complementing Clem's survival skills, or talking shit about the group. She just wants a replacement sister. So no, I'm not really sold on anything she does for Clementine because she's doing it more for herself. But that's just my opinion.

So...you literally think she's evil? She has not one single positive thing about herself? She is, basically, Satan?
I dont understand the Jaime argument. Like yeah, im sure thats an aspect. But the telltale writers aren't subtle - they show stuff like that more clearly if they actually want it to be taken as a character aspect. For example, Kenny actually calls Clementine 'duck', but people never seem to think about him caring about clem only because she reminds him of duck.
I also dont get 'good deeds dont count if youre partly respnsible for the situation'. Like, it's Kenny's fault clem had the walkie talkie - does that mean it's a bad thing he pretended that he had it?
Do you think Jane is slightly intelligent? Or just a complete idiot, capable of nothing? Is she a complete coward? Or does she show moments of bravery?
I seriously struggle to believe that you think there is not one single slightly positive thing in her entire characterisation when she is specifically written to have both goo and bad traits, as all characters in the game.

Yeah, despite the fact that he's not on my list ^^^ up there, I don't really like Kenny either (and yes I do blame him for the walkie talkie) Now this may seem biased, but I give Kenny more props for the Carver beating than I do Jane for the lake rescue because well.... he took a beating. Self sacrifice is one of the most noble things a person can do, even Kenny haters worldwide have to admit to that. Thing is, I trust Kenny. The man is honest (he's too idiotic and hot-headed to lie or manipulate anyone). I don't trust OR like Jane.
As for Jane being pure evil? That's a little strong. But I'd be lying if I said I found anything redeemable about her. Even her good deeds I feel are a subtle form of manipulation to get Clem on her side. After the A.J. thing, I just can't bring myself to trust anything she has said or done.
And I don't even think she's that smart (at least not as smart as she thinks). The AJ/Kenny plot, offering to have sex with Luke when they BOTH know his ass is supposed to be on watch, placing faith in the Russian kid she tried to rob the day before, even though he just orchestrated a shoot out that almost killed the girl she supposedly cares deeply about. I could go on for hours.

Ah, but 'he's only self sacrificing because he sees Clem as a replacement for Duck'.
Well, you've said there's literally not one good thing about her apart from her ass, so she must be literally pure evil. Darkness is the absence of light.

ah, sorry for the misunderstanding then. Wasn't trying to be mean if i was, i was just curious on what you meant. I think Kenny didn't have to do it if he didn't feel like it, this is one of those moments where like, telltale should have implimented more content, if kenny doesnt like you, he doesnt get the beatdown, but if he likes you, he takes the beatdown. That would have been much more interesting. IDK now im just on a rant on telltales laziness when it comes to actual player interaction.
Nah, I consider characters like The Joker, and Kefka (FF6) to be pure evil. Actually you know what.... Jane's obvious guilt over Jaime dying is a positive trait I suppose. She left her and is now on the buyer's market for a replacement, but she obviously has a desire to redo the sister thing the right way.

I really really don't understand why you think every single thing Jane does is about replacing Jaime and yet don't think Kenny's actions are only to do with him replacing Duck when the game actually makes the latter far clearer with his attention towards AJ and the fact that he calls Clementine 'Duck'.

I love the concept of this discussion, but like, is this therapy for all of our rage towards characters? XD Cause if that's so, it does make me feel better
I didn't hate Ben, but he was really annoying at times and unreliable as hell. But one thing I liked about him was that he seemed like a totally normal, really nice kid, like someone I could be friends with. He didn't let the apocalypse change who he was.
Kenny, for all his faults, at least was actively coming up with plans to do shit. Even if not well thought out, he is the only one making moves or trying to make moves.
Ben: he gave stickers to Clementine.
Danny: he had some real passion for his rifle.
Vernon: he was able to steal a boat from a stubbor… moren redneck. Which is pretty impressive.
Nate: hes a little funny.
Wyatt: his voice is so funny.
Bonnie: um. ummmmm. I'm gonna skip this one.
Bill: he wasn't that bad.
Becca: she can play a instrument.
Michelle: she died fast? no?
Carlos: professional doctor.
Nick: he knows where the river is.
Jane: she knows a few things about survival.
I honestly have to admit, I don't see how anyone can find an animated character attractive.
No offense intended, but that whole idea does seem a bit odd to me, personally.
That's how I see Jane's character as well.
She felt very manipulative from the very start.
And after the Aj incident, that to me showed her character's true colors, and made me glad that I had Clementine side with Kenny.
Just I had had Lee side with Kenny in Season 1.
"She was nuts Clem! A disturbed person who had her own agenda, and was lookin' after herself. Hey listen, I didn't want that to happen either! I thought she'd killed Alvie, Clem, and at any point she could've stopped what was happening by saying he was fine. She wanted to fight!" - Kenny.
I quote Kenny on the subject, as I truly believe he called it correctly.
She was jealous of Kenny's relationship with Clementine, and was of the mind: "If I can't have her, you can't have her."
And when the opportunity for her to dispose of Kenny, she went for it.
That's what made Jane's character so dangerous.
And most disturbing thing is, is that there are people like that today.
I firmly believe that type of craziness is rooted in selfishness.
When a person isolates themselves from others, they become very self-centered, and as a result their mental health suffers, and they start losing touch with what is normal behavior.

Why would you mention that name on here?
I don't know why anyone would find Jane sexually attractive, after watching her shoot a man's johnson off without batting a eye.
Oh, I didn't say I would hit that. I just like watching her walk away for more than one reason.

I wish duck would of came back in episode two instead of Kenny.
I wish Clem was bit in ep3 and not Duck, Duck was so much better and likable overall imo

I'm sorry.

Kenny: He'd do anything to keep the group moving and not losing hope, despite him being the reason the group fell apart because of his own goals.
Kenny, he really did care about the group and his family even if it was hard to tell at times
Should have died more painfully. And slower.
