When were times you guys chose the ... option

I only used the ... option when Omid asked me if I liked the name "Omid"

  • I use it whenever i don't like any of the other options given

  • I used it when Luke and Kenny were arguing over the baby in Amid the Ruins, right before Arvo showed up for the ambush.

I can't remember other times, but I have used it more than once.

  • I rarely use it, but one time I recall was when Kenny was holding a gun to Arvo's head during the shootout. There was no option to say, "Do it Kenny, kill him, it's his fault in the first place," (since I didn't steal from him), so I just stayed silent, hoping that Kenny would do it.

  • I used it when Clementine asks "When we leave tomorrow will we have time to look for my parents" I couldn't tell her that we don't have time or lie to her either.

  • When Carver made Carlos slap Sarah I had already learned my lesson.

  • The problem was I forgot it was there

  • The times I use it is when I'm too shocked or I take too long to answer. I got Alvin killed that way. I also didn't say anything when Clem found Jane and Luke together.

  • The only time I can recall remaining silent is when I didn't pick an option fast enough.

I used it Everytime I could when Larry Spoke to me, I didn't wanna be a dick to him, But I didn't wanna be nice either.

    EDIT:
Now, granted, I did say, "Fuck you Larry, Eat Up" When I discovered about mark, But that isn't an awful thing of me to do! Right?

I did a scumbag play through and I chose it whenever there wasn't a hostile option.

  • I usually never used it, only when I didn't decide in time xD but I wonder what happens if you go through the game using it whenever possible.

  • same haha :)

  • I tend to use it during the discussion on who will put down Duck. I can't tell either Kenny or Katjaa to do it, and I find the scene afterwards to be a lot better than when I choose to do it myself. The somber walk to the clearing, Lee looking at the bird, extra dialogue with Clem with one of the saddest exchanges in the game as far as I'm concerned ("It had to be done." "Okay..." "There was no other way." "...Okay.") and the chilling last look between Kenny and Katjaa before she walks away, which adds another dimension to Kenny's grief in my opinion.

Also when Lilly asks, "Did you come in here to give me hell or to coddle me?" Lee's silent, raised eyebrow reaction is hilarious.

And when Molly asks, "Who's the fossil?", just to hear Vernon go "Fossil?!"

  • Watch the youtube series "The adventures of silent Lee" its really funny

  • I've only used it a couple of times. After all, the game revolves around communication. Lose that and you lose all substance. One silence option regret, one not so much.

Firstly: in Season One when we discovered the suicide couple on the hotel. I don't regret that one so much because...really, what 'correct' thing is there to say to such an excruciating sight? However, it did deprive me of Kenny's monologue about Katja afterward which is a shame (still, I stand by my choice). Sometimes, silence speaks volumes.

Secondly: when Walter asked me if Nick was a good man. I stayed silent that time because I had genuinely NO idea what I believed myself. Still don't really. Was Nick a 'good man?' Hell no! I remain fully appalled to what he did to Matthew . But I'm not convinced he was 'the same as everyone else' either- just severely wounded by his environment. So I stayed silent and the consequences were DIRE! Having witnessed them, I wish I'd just given Nick the benefit of the doubt.

  • I nearly forgot. I also stayed silent for the majority of Clem's office conversation with Carver... I didn't want another slap but I didn't want him under any illusions that his actions had my approval.

  • Uh, never, I think? I don't know why I never use the silent option in TWDG, I used it quite a lot in The Wolf Among Us, hmm.
