Oh really, this again? There is no damn canon ending. I thought we got over saying others' choices are invalid ages ago.

  • I know, but people are still commenting relating to the issue.

  • How is there anything canon in a game that gives you options in every conversation.

  • When many of the choices don't actually affect the game long-term (not to say I didn't love the game, because I did).

  • Well the choices aren't really meant to have long-term affects, some choices will be brought up but most of the choices we make are based on morality, choices like choosing the fate of a character does give the opportunity for a character to return but that doesn't mean they should return just to make the choice matter, or being rude to someone shouldn't mean that they'll be automatically rude to you back. If choices always affected characters and the story, it would feel less realistic in my opinion, because like in real life, choices don't all have impacts.

I chose to stay in Wellington because Clem and AJ would at least have a small chance of growing up as somewhat normal children. They wouldn't survive for long in the wild with Kenny, who has some serious mental damage and could snap at any given moment. Clem has been in the wild for way too long and I wouldn't want AJ to go trough the same. So the ending with Wellington as the canon ending would be a good idea.

  • There is NO cannon ending. I choose to stay with Kenny though but the ending I would have wanted to happen in S2 is Clementine alone with AJ and Sarah. That would have made sense for me. Who's with me?

  • "What's the most important thing in this world?"

    "Family."

I stayed with Kenny, because he actually cared about Clem unlike Jane who is selfish

Ad AronDracula said, all endings are canon, with the ending depending on what you want Clementime to me. As I best ending is with Jane, and turning the family away. As you can't trust anyone which brings the words which Lee said (you can't trust anyone), on season 1 to a head. Season 3 will be great as i can't wait to see our the different endings will affect the world.

  • I was hoping for the John Cena video...

Anyways, tbh all the endings are canon, depending on what people wanted for Clementine.

So I just watched the Season 3 Trailer...

...which made me wonder, "Which ending was canon?"

Cause obviously the writers had to pick a lane to go forward.

Let's make a game out of it... guess which of the 5 endings S3 is based on.

  • Season 2 Has a Canon Ending and it's....

    Staying in Wellington.

First off, it's just a theory.

    I stop reading there... nice b8 m8

  • Obviously all the endings are canon... you know, it's pretty much been the point of the entire game series and it's partner-games, TWAU and TFTB. Whatever decision you make, it's canon and the story moves on from there.

  • I actually agree on this, although I definitely do not like Kenny, but, in my opinion, that scene with Lee was all about Kenny. How sometimes you have to hurt someone to protect those you love, and how people can get so angry they are capable of killing. This coming from Lee actually made me overthink my opinion on whether I should shot, leave, or stay with Kenny. I realized that, although Lee has killed, I could still trust him. I think it's logical for the plot a canon ending to be about forgiving Kenny, like we forgive Lee, even though it means letting Jane die.

But hey, those are just my thoughts on this.
