What if Mike's plot was this?

What if Mike was one of the bandits in episode 1 and when Clem is running away the gunshot you hear is actually mike getting shot in the ear. That's why Mikes ear is all messed up. Then when you meet Mike he confesses that he was a bandit and that Christa is still alive. Then you have to decide weather you want to trust Mike or you don't trust Mike. That's why in episode 5 you could shoot Mike before TellTale patched it so you couldnt shoot mike

The shooting of Mike in episode 5 would then have been patched out months earlier then since it could have been changed easily and not at the last minute like it was, because they changed Mike's character arc before episode 3 was even released.

  • I think they should've stuck to the original plot for Mike as being one of the bandits. it would've made Mike's character more interesting and made his theft more characteristic.

but they want Christa's fate to remain ambiguous and unknown and having Mike be the last person to have seen her wouldn't leave it ambiguous

  • No actually a day after episode 5 it was patched Dont believe me?

I already know this. This was actually a glitch for the PS versions and was patched a day later. The video you're showing me is a modded version for the PC that never happened in game. You can mod shooting Mike in, but it didn't happen for anyone.

  • you can mod it back in just like model swapping

Umm look up on youtube TWDG shoot mike there are about 20 videos of it. Its in the game files. Its not a "mod" since TellTale games are mod friendly. The only modding you can do is model swapping which technically isn't moding

From the description of the video you provided

This is patched on the PS3 and I only manged to retrieve it via game files. It's not possible anymore.

As well, I've seen animation swaps where there's a different version of Jane and Kenny's final fight.

No, it's a completely different fight, not a model swap, there's a gif somewhere of it in my "details" thread, I'll see if I can drudge it up.

Yes but you could never do it without purposefully putting it in the game. You could never do it on the PC version.

  • Well I remember somebody found out that the original choice was saving Kenny or Luke from the blizzard but they changed it because EVERYBODY LOVES JANE!

No that's not true. Gavin Hammon has said that Luke has been meant to die since he got the script for episode 5.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read somewhere that in the other scrapped version of Kenny vs Jane, even IF you don't shoot Jane off of Kenny, he still comes out on top anyways? I may be very well wrong, but I read it and I'm interested to know.

I honestly don't know, that was stated in the details thread, but there was never any concrete proof so I'd just say it's false until proven otherwise.

I'm not all sure either, but I heard that if Clementine had looked away, Kenny would have grabbed the knife and threw her off of him, gaining the upper hand and eventually killing her. Thanks for the reply, though! :)

  • It's pretty clear to me that the choice here wouldn't be to shoot Jane off Kenny or look away, but rather to shoot either Jane OR Kenny, or do nothing and see who wins.

Jane doesn't look like she's right about to kill kenny when Clem is about to pick up the gun, unlike the scene in the final game where Kenny is pushing the knife down onto Jane.

Btw it can be done on Xbox 360. You just use an "offline" account (offline of course) that is older than the updated game. I found this out with playthroughs from my other xbox accounts.

  • In an interview a fan had with Mike's voice actor, he said that Mike was originally going to be one of the bandits (he was going to replace Ralph) and that Christa ran away. When you meet him at Carver's, he asks for Clementine's forgiveness. So you're pretty close.
