What is some things about Season 2 that you wish had been featured more?

edited April 2015 in The Walking Dead

I personally loved seeing Kenny's new skills as a sharpshooter.
Watching pick members of Carver's gang off one at a time, with deadly accuracy, I found that to be quite enjoyable.

Another thing I wish we had seen more of, is Luke taking out walkers.
Throughout the game, Luke was shown to be the ultimate good guy, but at the price of apparently not being able to keep the group safe.
It would've been nice to see Luke step up and kick some ass.

And finally, I wish uncle Pete would've survived longer than he did.
In fact, I wish he would've survived to the final episode!
It would've been interesting to see how he would've affected the group, even with Kenny as it's leader.

More Cabin Crew stuff, and I wish we had been in Howe's for a bit longer. Maybe 2 episodes instead of just one.

Oh and I wish Rebecca had given birth in Howe's and clem had delivered the baby (referencing Christa's situation as she did so - maybe a flashback even) but I guess a change we would have liked isn't the prerogative of the thread haha.

    Also, sorry but

    with Kenny as it's leader.

Since when was Kenny the leader of the group?

The group didn't really seem to have any leader, it was very fragmentary.

  • Just from what I saw, it seemed to me Kenny was more of a "take-charge" type of man, more so than anyone else in the group.
That's why I'd say he fits more of the profile of a leader.

He was that type of man, and he did theoretically fit the profile, but he is never a leader in episodes 2-5; someone so emotionally fragile and temperamental can't be a leader.

Or at least, not a remotely good one.

  • A cool head is essential to being a good leader.
However, of everyone present in the group by the final episode, he seemed to be best qualified.
Clementine's character was way to young.
Luke's character lacked the grit to make difficult decisions for the good of the group.
And Mike really seemed to be more of a follower, that a leader.
Bonnie lacked good sense, especially in crucial situations.
And Jane stood only for herself.

So in that situation, Kenny seemed to be the best suited, and had it not been for his fragile mindset, which was understandable given the loss he had been through, I think he could've become a superb leader.
Plus, Kenny was the oldest character in the group, I'd say somewhere between 45-50 yrs old, and therefore had the greatest amount of life-experience.
That, and the fact that his character had been a fishing boat captain, and therefore was familiar with knowing how to operate a group.

  • I would have loved to be able to look around Carver's camp and interact with some of its inhabitants. That's what I feel the problem is with shorter episodes, the writers become limited with what they can actually put in the episode, and it can make the overall experience of the episode much worse. I've seen people say that this episode sucks and the writer is terrible and should be fired, if you've played TFTBL and TWAU, you know that's not true. If writers aren't given the tools to succeed, there's only so much they can do.

  • DITTO,i could of stayed more with the cabin group at howes, and the moonstar lodge gang longer, would of been nice to feel seteled in a place for a while like learning more about Carvers group.

Determinant characters needed a lot more screen time.

  • The best suited man was unable to fulfill the role he theoretically could, hence why there was no leader.

I don't see how age is relevant, Lilly leads the group containing her father well for 3 months.

  • Carver being the antagonist of the whole season. And it would have been awesome to fight with Carver at the end.

  • All i ever want more of from season 2 anymore, is more Nick and Sarah.

  • It needed more hubs, more character interaction, and more character development. If we had that, then things might not have felt so rushed and disjointed.

  • less filler, more areas to walk around, have better character deaths

  • Walter. He was one of my favorite one episode characters. I wish he got more screen time and maybe could be determinant instead of Alvin.

  • More Cabin Group development and Carver's storyline stretched out through the whole season. Those are my biggest whims with the season

  • More Walter he was a really good character.

  • I agree, I liked Walter. Now there was a character worth keeping. Same as Pete in my opinion. Two really good characters, and what do telltale do.......shoot them.

Yes, lets keep all the crap ones no one gives a toss about, like Sarah, Carlos, Jane and Katja MK2. No one will notice. I realise this is The Walking Dead, and people die. However, keep one or two interesting ones.....at least until near the end. Then chomp, kill and maim as much as you like.

I believe a LOT of people like Sarah and Jane. If Sarita wasn't with Kenny I think she'd be a real cool character, but because all she does is talk about Kenny she doesn't stand out too much.

  • Lots of people like Sarah, and sadly lots of people like Jane aswell. You might not like em, that doesnt mean others dont,

  • I did think Kenny sharping shooting was interesting but

Watching pick members of Carver's gang off one at a time, with deadly accuracy,

Not so much deadly accuracy, he only got 1 and shot Carver in the shoulder :P

  • More hubs, Nick surviving to 205,

  • How about "character development." It's perfect to properly develop characters before killing them off.

  • Character development for the cabin crew in general, especially Carlos and Pete. Pete died too soon (I saved him, too) and I really wanted to know more about Carlos's supposed anger problems that Luke alluded to in ep. 2. :(

Carver's camp. I really wanted to explore the place, meet actual good people there (that weren't prisoners), etc...

    Hubs.

Sarah getting to save someone with a gun.

When playing ep. 2 at the dinner table, I thought that we would have the decision to stay with Kenny at the lodge or continue on with the cabin crew later on in the episode. I actually was trying to decide who to choose before dinner time was even over.

  • Luke.

    ayy

    okay sorry
