Kenny fans: Would you prefer an Unknown or Dead status?

So, if the season 3 story continues with Clem, and since its unlikely determinant characters will be present in every episode, if you chose to go with Kenny away from Wellington, would you rather get an certain status of being 100% dead, or rather it be left up to interpretation, with Clementine forever not knowing?

  • Unknown, every other character I ever liked is dead, I don't want to lose one last one.

  • Unknown.

    It's better that way.

  • I have to be honest i dont really care either way, Overall I'd rather they didnt kill another character just to kill the character, to much of that already.

Frankly I;d prefer clementine still be with Kenny,Jane,Mike,Bonnie and Arvo at either destination so season 3 actually had a start with an existing group.

I'm not a fan of Kenny's, but for any of my favorite characters I'd rather them be dead, that way there's no mystery or "what ifs".

  • Unknown.

If better, alive to the point where he seems reasonable to die at.

  • If you want that then the Jane + Family ending sort of sets that up.

I'd prefer him to end up unknown/up to interpretation. While we're at it, I'd also prefer the same for Jane. I feel both characters have earned a respectable send-off that doesn't result in them 100% dying no matter what.

At the very least, I hope he stays unknown for the staying in Wellington ending, as that feels like the best ending/closure that you could provide to his character at this point (it's the second-best closure after his 'sacrifice' in S1, and I'd rather they keep it this way than go for a round three)

What I would really like, though, is for neither to exit the story fully. I'd love to see them handle determinant characters that they can still involve in the story to some capacity (join a community, have Kenny/Jane blend into the background, but ultimately survive, with opportunities throughout the episodes to continue to talk to them). They have a chance to do something ambitious, especially since these are two of the biggest determinant characters they've done yet.

  • Yeah but I dont count those three as characters and I meant kind of not determinant as well.

Maybe a few from the group could be determinant in the ending but in the current case they'll have to condense them or abandon clementine

Unknown because I like the idea of Kenny out there tirelessly trying to find Clem and AJ (that would be canon in my head).

Alive would be best though :P

  • Unknown, it would give me the allusion that he might still be out there.

  • Unknown sounds much nicer than dead ;_;

  • I am not a fan of Kenny/Jane but if i had my choice, i would want to know what happened, and there to be a finality. I am tired of "unknown missing,"

  • I wouldn't want him to be unknown because then it would be like Christa waiting for her to return. So I guess I'd rather have him die saving Clem, doing something emotional

  • I think I'm going to be the only one who says dead. . .
Not because I hate Kenny, I actually love his character. (I hope that doesn't start a debate) But then this way, Clementine will not have any false hope. I still remember on the bridge with Matthew, she asked for Christa. She still had some hope that Christa may be alive, (And she might be). Also in Wellington, she asked about Christa. But each time that they said, "No," You could see disappointment on Clem's face. What if Christa isn't alive, and Clementine is wasting her time never knowing, and looking for her? Or Kenny? I'd rather know, so then you can just live with the fact knowing that they're in a better place.

  • He doesn't have to die, maybe he just decides to live and stay at Wellington, and Clementine decides to leave Wellington. That way she can pawn The baby off on him. I just hate the mystery, that is what really annoys me. Why didn't they have Christa at Carvers camp, or have her dead uncle Pete Style. I wanted a finality with her, but we didn't get it.

    Makes me wonder why.

  • Honestly though I prefer him unknown like several others so far. While technically out of the games plot he can still be considered alive

  • I saw it more as bait m8

  • Honestly, I would much rather have him dead, but done in a nice, emotional way (aka not Omid'd). It doesn't have to be at Lee levels of emotion (I don't really want that much anyway. That would be overdoing it), but when he died in season 2, that was good. Poor man's been through enough. Let him have his rest. Plus there would be no chance for TTG to try and bring him back again.

It's weird for me to say this, because if this were literally any other of my absolute favorite characters (about 98% of them are dead) from any of my fandoms, then I'd be saying "Yes! Keep them unknown so I can imagine they're at least off doing something else!" but with Kenny? No, I want him to finally die.

  • Nahhh bruh -_-

  • I'm bouncing back and forth on this and I guess I would want him 100% dead. Just so Clementine knows that he truly sacrificed himself in either way she left, since he believed that he wasn't fit to properly take care of Clementine/AJ. Plus in certain scenarios we can give him a proper send off. If he just remained a mystery I would be comfortable with that too.

  • Its cool we all friends here.

But a lot of people already thought he did have a nice, emotional death at the end of season 2 lol you just said it yourself. ...Well I mean if you didn't shoot Kenny you wouldn't have it obviously, but it's there. Idk, I just think it's a bit unfair for Kenny to have potentially two nice death send-offs, and even what many thought were two nice send-offs where he doesn't die, when so many characters didn't even get one nice send-off period.

  • Unknown. I love Kenny too much to have him dead..

  • I'd rather him be unknown so we could get spotlight on the cabin group

  • But we'd just be watching corpses then

Unknown, of course. Same goes for everyone else.

  • Unknow. It's a better chance of him being alive.
