Your guys ideas for season 3

Post some ideas you guys want to see in season 3! I want there to be a whole entire new story with new characters and such

Comments

  • I think it would be really cool if your past actions and decisions actually affected how the third season plays out. Also, I want more hubs so you can learn more about characters; development is a must this season.

  • Aliens.

  • I saw somebody bring up the idea of playing as a character and seeing clem and lee from an other perspective. Obviously changing the story up

  • Like going back to season one and playing as Kenny? He'd be the only one that would make sense to play as because he was with them from the beginning and end.

  • i just...sniff....want the endings in season 2 to matterrrrrrr

  • Are you serious?! A whole new story? .... I don't think TTG will do that. Too complicated to start from scratch. Plus I've come to regard Clementine as family.

  • 3 words:

    1. Walker
    2. Worshipping
    3. Cult
  • Hang on. Explain. Develop.

    3 words: * Walker * Worshipping * Cult

  • Go back to day one of the apocalypse. TABULA RASA, BABY!

  • I just think it would be really interesting to see this happen. Like maybe it's some wacko religious cult that sees the walkers as being sent from God and, instead of seeing them as monsters, they look at them like gods or something. In all forms of TWD, we have yet to see something like a walker worshipping cult, I just think it could be an interesting idea.

If S3 takes place in Wellington then I'd like to have an episode where a tornado is heading towards it and everyone gotta evacuate while walkers are attacking the community due to a gunfight drawing them there. It will be 3 forms of danger in one moment. I rarely see weather conditions being a real problem in zombie genre stories. This'll be a fresh event that holds a lot of tension.

    • S2 DLC introducing us to S3's 'starter group' (like the drugstore group or cabin group). None of their appearances are determinant, all appear in Episode 1 of Season 3, but the DLC would show them at the inception of the apocalypse while S3 would be 900-1000 days in, so we'd see how they changed and how it's impacted them. That way players will be a bit more sympathetic towards the group. As an example, imagine Nick or Sarah. Some people found them hard to sympathise with, but showing what they had been through would give the player a greater understanding of their circumstances and how they've changed over time.

    • More consistency in writing. Get the same guy to write all 5 episodes, I don't care if that means it'll take longer - at least it won't end up like Season 2. Or do whatever GOT is doing - although that series has had about 7 different writers so far it's doing a smashing job in terms of consistency. Seems like they actually discussed the story and planned it out properly, which TWD Season 2 did not seem to do.

    • Clem as deuteragonist, her personality varies depending on your choices in S2. Or if she's PC, for the love of God give her character and don't make her a cardboard cut out again.

    • 'Villain' that lasts longer than 2 episodes (looking at you, Carver) and is not a one dimensional stereotype (looking at you, Russians).

    • 3 Group members do not need to die every episode. Seriously. GOT is a testament to this, and the characters really prosper from it.

    • Less blatant rehashed models. (90% of the time I can look at a character and guess who they're a rehash of)

  • I'm kind of hoping that is a part of the DLC. Plus, did you see the outrage that came with mere cameos for everyone except Bonnie in episode 3? I hope telltale has taken notice.

Point 2 I agree. It must be the main focus, it's the reason season 1 just flowed so perfectly. As you say, GOT is looking extremely promising on that front, so I have more confidence this will be addressed in season 3.

Clem's personality change would be a cool thing to put in if she isn't the PC.

I'm hoping that there will be a different player character.

I remember someone mentioning that Christa or Lilly are likely candidate and I think it would be interesting to see either. Call me crazy, but I want closure on one of the two. Not that I don't like Clementine or playing as her, but I generally like variety and I really can't take a little girl doing everything for a group of survivors to be serious.

And I would also like a new group of survivors. Meaning entirely new. No Kennys or Christas. I want a new group of survivors, maybe a new player character and entirely new area. Perhaps somewhere on the west coast? That would be interesting. Having to escape zombie infested LA or something. It's a bit exhausting to see the Walking Dead constantly replayed in a small rural area.

In short, my idea is: we should relocate the story -- tell it in another part of the country or maybe even another country in general (Canada? Could be an idea!) with different characters (no more carbon copies, please and thank you!) and a new player character. Just all new.

    That'd be awesome.

I can guarantee you he did...

  • Obviously, I want to continue playing as Clementine. It's no secret that I believe she is the core of the game, but Season Three does need some changes.

For example - No returning characters. With the possible minuscule exception of Christa. Season Three has to stand on it's own, otherwise it's doomed to fail.
This time, make decisions actually mean something. One of my biggest niggles with Season Two was the medicine farce. Whoever wrote that scene needs that medicine thrown at him. Whether you stole it or not, didn't matter. That Russian always stared at you ( Clementine ) like you were the Devils left testicle.

To be honest, he's got the sort of face that you want to slap anyway, so i'm not in the least bit surprised that Kenny went off on one. If I had my way, I would have shot him, but telltale ( unfortunately ) didn't give me that option.

Maybe they have plans for him, I don't know. Perhaps Arvo is going to be the leader of a massive cult, dancing around a fire in a grass skirt.

Next thing I would change are the characters themselves, whom ever they may be. This time, don't make them have the IQ of a glass of water.
I mean.......really, not one adult could figure out the wind turbine. Then we have the ridiculous Carver situation. 'He's different' 'he's really clever and manipulative'. Hmmmmmm is that right? He got beaten ( literately ) by a redneck, an 11 year old and a crowbar.

And finally ( yes im nearly finished ) this time round, have some different Walkers. They are all the same models as before, and surely they should be more decomposed now. Not walking round as if they are going to the nearest Nightclubs with their nice white shirts and jeans.

  • We've had enough Kenny for one lifetime I think. Maybe from Christa's perspective would be cool, during season 1 and then finding clem and caring for her.

Like going back to season one and playing as Kenny? He'd be the only one that would make sense to play as because he was with them from the beginning and end.

  • I've seen it. Good movie.

  • Nate finally finds Eddie, and after they patch things up, and become "friends."

I don't want another season of Clementine, i want, a completely different take on the story. Basically a Nate/Eddie make their way in a Truck to Mexico in search of Green and Senoritas. A crazy adventure with humor, crazyness. and interesting choices. Unlike Season two, whose felt choices felt pointless, IE Giving the water to the dying man. Why Bother? Why would i do this ever after knowing the reactions either way.

I can't stomach another season of Clementine.

  • Zombie's bleeding from the eyes sickness thing. Although it probably won't happen since it's not in the comics.

Clementine and maybe 2 buddies, grouped up back to back, surrounded by zombies, low on ammo, and aiming/timing pistol headshots 1 by 1.

  • Lol that sounds really fun and different. I like it! XD

Lol I haven't. I probably should some time. xp

But on your thing, I think a natural disaster is a great idea. It would be interesting to have that triple conflict like you said, and it would be cool to see two fighting groups actually instead band together in such dire circumstances of walkers coming as well as the tornado too. Or a choice: say you're part of the Wellington group, and you're defending the town from invading survivors. When the walkers/storms come, do you retreat into your bunkers and leave the attacking force outside to surely perish in the walkernadooo, or do you throw up a white flag and invite them inside to ride out the storm with you?

    I've seen it. Good movie.

  • I want Clem to meet Lee's wife or meet one of her family members

  • I think playing as Christa would be the best option. We don't know where she went, even if she is still alive. She has ties to season 1 & 2 which would help season 3 be stronger. I still hope Christa is alive and it would be awesome to be able to play from her perspective!
