It's the only way? I can see episode 1 being different based on our endings from season 2 and then in episode 2 or 3 story is beginning to f… moreollow similiar direction but still (possibly in some minor things or maybe a little bigger ones) it will be somehow different or at least our experience will be different.
Telltale already said that season 2 endings will play a big role in the next season and Clementine was important part of this endings so I think we will see Clementine in season 3. I don't know if as PC or not but I think we'll see her again.

I know but i'm from germany and Beauty is translated as belle and "belle" means beauty in italian. But it doesn't mean really belle it means Bella or someting like that (I know the Germantranslater are so good xD)
I'd rather play as an adult. I love Clementine, but season 2 was unrealistic.
You could make important decisions over adults, which didn't make much sense to me.
the only possible way that they can make the muliple endings matter is if they have you play as a separate character with a separate story. think about it, if you make the new character have 1 hour of game time for each episode and clem 20 mins, you can make it so for every ending you have you can have them have independent none converging stories until season 4.
For example: the first episode would be you as the new character at some location in by the house in season 2. the character will camp there with his group scavanging for supplies. then you see a nailfile at the fireplace. When the character sees the nail it goes to the Howes store where jane and clem is at.( 20 mins of gametime)
If you pick the Wellington ending. The New character will just ignore the nailfile and just transition to Clem when you look at the baby empty formula. Clem will be attending school in her gameplay or fighting some kid( 20 mins gameplay)
If you pick the alone ending, The new character will just transition to clem when you find Arvo's riffle in the snow. In this scene. Clem is crossing the herd and the baby is crying. So, she is fleeing the herd. At the end of this scene the camera is going to focus on a bush with a man that is looking through binoculars, with a angry face. it's Arvo.(20mins)
If every episode follows a this format, each alternative ending can have a total of 1 hour of play time atleast and have it in a way that we can have all of these stories without a crappy converge at the midseason, but until season 4
Maybe that's what Kevin Bruner was talking about when stuff got sorted out, they figured out how to link how many endings? Like 5? 5 endings but only 4 save files. And also 4 save files when S1 only had 3.
TTGLOGIC
I'm starting to wonder if we'll get to follow Christa on her way to Wellington three days behind Clem. Think about it. She finds the cabin and Clementine's picture on the second floor, and the guy who robbed her living there. They could potentially team up or she could kill him, and she could potentially find Clem at Wellington or at Howe's, or on the road. Actually, i think the event ending in the thief's death or possible joining could be the end of the 'tutorial' part, that beginning where they tell you "silence is a valid option", introduce new players to Telltale QTE's etc. and next would be a flash forward of her following Clem's trail to wherever she ends up.
I dunno. I just got that idea from not seeing any visible injuries on the thief at the river in episode 1 of season 2. Maybe he was just severely beaten and knocked out, it seemed like he could have made a recovery.
Since the franchise is pretty much built around her, i'd say we're gonna play as her.
Also GOT episode 3:
I'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say i'd say
In my personal opinion I would love to play as her I enjoyed playing as her in season 2 that just my opinion also if she is not the pc what would be the point in season 2. Telltale did say your ending choice would effect season 3
Comments
Season 3 its clementine story and i hope the final chapter of the cute girl
We shall see if they bring Clementine back.
I don't mind whether or not Clem would be the playable protagonist in season 3 is long as she plays a central role in the plot

They also said choices matter. I will believe it when i see it.
I hope she will remain the pc forever.
'belle' is french
They said that choices matter but they never said how. They kind of matter but not in the way most people expected them to.
I think that's what that new content before S3 is for.
But we have no idea about S3 other than it's gonna be a "new angle on the story."
As long as Clementine's story has closure (not saying she has to die) , i wouldn't mind changing the PC.
Maybe if staying at Wellington was canon (or the only ending) i'd be fine with it.
I hope we play as clem again in season 3
Clem will prolly live for a long time until her luck comes to an end in S4.

She probably will. No one does it better than her...except Lee of course
what...?
Playing as Christa would be awful, at least for me. I hated her a lot, so it'd be like forcing someone like @Flog61 to play as Kenny :P
In my personal opinion I would love to play as her I enjoyed playing as her in season 2 that just my opinion also if she is not the pc what would be the point in season 2. Telltale did say your ending choice would effect season 3
Gaming 'journalists' love Clementine, and will pretty much eat up anything Telltale cooks up when it comes to her character.
So yeah, even though I wish she wasn't the PC in S3, she'll be back.
She was kind of a bitch. I didn't appreciate her constantly finding an excuse to be upset with me. I just hope we see that one guy again.
